House Salad

Over the weekend we enjoyed lunch here and dinner too because the food was so good! The food is the star here... Everything we ate was super fresh and the flavors are amazing! Fresh dressings, cold salad plate and hot, fresh pizza had us but then the flavors... can't wait to come back next month with the family! Plenty of parking and can walk around the harbor and beach. Great place to grab a bite!

Great customer service, this is just my opinion, I believe the owner took our order. He is extremely kind and joyful!! We only came in for coffee but will definitely be back ;) the ambience was extremely cute and of course the view is the best!!

This restaurant is located inside the Oceanside harbor village area. It's a bit of a tourist trap for hungry tourists lol. There's a few restaurants in this area and we decided to give this one a try! Service was very nice but they only had one waitress so she was running around a lot and wasn't too attentive but she was very nice! We had some breadsticks to start off and those were delicious! Our starters were: Linguini with baby clams, clam chowder, fettuccini Alfredo with chicken and a pasta with salmon. Everything was delicious! I was very impressed since it's a touristy spot. I especially loved the clam chowder! Clean restaurant, I would come again if in the area!

The service was great, and the ambiance was too... it is at the harbor and front of the water it is very relaxing! The spaghetti carbonara was so creamy and was delicious as it should be and the meat lovers pizza was good! Their bread was also delicious!

I'm in heaven today. Menu: Pinot Grigio, fried calamari, lobster ravioli in vodka sauce with warm garlic breadsticks. The best lobster ravioli I had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and well stuffed with plenty of lobster. Service was amazing as well.

I visited Dominic's Italian Restaurant on Harbor Drive a while back, and overall, it was a mixed experience. I came around lunchtime and was surprised to find the place completely empty -- I was the only one dining in, even though neighboring restaurants seemed like they were bustling. The restaurant felt oddly cold, atmosphere wise. There was a large portable heater fan propped up on a table, which made me think they might not have proper heating. One waitress was handling the entire (and fairly large) dining room. Occasionally, someone would walk in to ask a question and leave, but otherwise it stayed quiet, besides for the loud classical music playing. For a spot right on the harbor, I expected a beautiful view -- but you don't really get that from inside. I'd suggest they remodel the front wall and add large windows to better showcase the waterfront. It's a missed opportunity. Now onto the food: the menu is surprisingly big, and they let you sit wherever you'd like. Just a heads-up -- they don't serve complimentary bread. You have to order it separately, which I did. I got the breadsticks with marinara (you can only pick one sauce), and they were actually very good, just super filling. For my main dish, I tried the sea bass risotto. The portion was huge -- lots of rice and vegetables, and pretty tasty overall. Both dishes took about 25 minutes each to come out, which I guess is understandable since it wasn't busy. I think this place has potential, but there are definitely areas for improvement: * Fix the heating situation. * Add windows or find a way to show off the harbor view. * Consider listing portion sizes on the menu -- it would help diners prepare or share. If I come back, I'll definitely make sure to bring a larger appetite.

This is now one of my favorite Italian Restaurants! The owner was very nice, great service, and a view of the harbor. Lots of seating. We had the bruschetta, Fetachi Alfredo with broccoli, garlic sticks, and Spaghetti... all very delicious. Walk it off with a short distance to the beach. Enjoy!

Where do I start. First off the location was amazing right on the dock. I order to go and it was very easy with the window outside for to go orders. The pizza was very good. I would definitely be back for more next time I'm in Oceanside.

My new favorite place to dine in Oceanside. Outdoor seating right along the harbor. The food is authentic and delicious!! Prices and portions are reasonable and plenty . The staff is super friendly with excellent service. Plenty of seating and dog friendly patio!

Dominic's Italian Restaurant Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Dominic's Italian Restaurant

Is the patio pet friendly?

Yes, the patio is absolutely dog friendly.

When Will Dominics Italian Restaurant reopened for dine in?

Yes, it's fully open, as of 2/10/21 Both the bar and cafe side and dining room. They also still have a Togo window as well as delivery thru grub hub and Uber eats.

Does this restaurant have a full coffee drink menu? Can they be ordered to go? The coffee place nearby blatantly refuses to wear masks and follow cdc guidelines and welcomes others to do so. Looking for another coffee option at the harbor!

Dominics offers a full coffee bar selection as well as tasty desserts and out of this world Italian food!

It was also my first pizza from them. I ordered the Salsiccia pizza which has a sweet fennel sausage on it. The sausage tasted homemade. Perfectly seasoned. Incredibly gritty and had hard pieces of something in it that we had to spit out. The ravioli pasta was good, the stuff in it was truly disgusting. Again so bad all this time we've chosen other places to dine because of that one dish and whatever hard things were in it along with that gritty finely grounded chicken. So anyways the rating now is for my experience now. The above is just why it took me so long to try this place again. Service was great! Over the phone so nice and in person welcoming and friendly. Great staff here. Blonde is who helped me. Another dark haired lady even asked if I'd been helped and even with her serving was willing to help if I hadn't yet been helped but I had been helped so no need. Super great two ladies. Thank you both. Just had to wait a short bit for my food and to pay. $30+ for it. I had a bday coupon of $5 and $7 still on my account from all that time ago. Lady stepped in to put those discounts. Wonderful! The bag of my food was so light I looked inside because seemed nothing was in it. But it has my to go food in it so off I went. We live super close and got home, opened it but it was just warm. Not hot. Odd but well I was able to eat it right away. The sauce was oily butter tasting. The cheese on it tasted like plastic and the dish was missing the prosciutto sadly. Inside the pasta and the pasta itself was yummy! Sad the sauce was oily butter, no other flavor but oily. The pasta was smaller than before, still only 5 pieces of pasta, at $30+ for this ouch! Even after my discount $20+ was still not worth it. Bummer. The other time I had this dish it was all so good, the sauce and prosciutto etc. I am not saying we won't ever return, service is great. Looked over reviews, yes it's cramped inside and you are on top of others unless you get the booth, so I recommend the booth. We enjoyed our dine in experience time ago, only the chicken ravioli was gross, the soup was just ok but the rest was great. After today's experience I won't be repeating the tortellini. Maybe calamari and pizza next visit, but pasta portions n flavor lack too much to attempt other dishes. Just my thoughts. Again great staff!

It was fresh, light, and absolutely delicious. My entrée, the rigatoni with Italian sausage, mushrooms, and pink sauce, was outstanding. The sauce was rich and flavorful without being heavy, and every bite was fantastic. The service was equally impressive. The bartender was so kind and welcoming, and our waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. A special thank you to Chef Angelo, who came out to visit with guests. It was such a thoughtful touch and showed how much he cares about both his food and his customers. Exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We ordered Brussels sprouts for our appetizer. It was pretty standard. We love Brussels sprouts so it was good but it wasn't particularly crispy and was very basic with just salt and pepper I believe. We enjoyed it but felt it wasn't worth our money because we could make something similar at home. For our mains we got the carbonara pizza and the papardelle bolognese. The carbonara pizza was not exactly what we were expecting. We had envisioned a creamy carbonara sauce with Parmesan on the pizza but instead there was just fully cooked egg on top. We also felt that the topping to cheese ratio was off. We preferred less cheese and more toppings. The crust was thick and if you like thick crust you may like the pizza they have here. The papardelle has good flavor but the pasta was a little bit overcooked. Overall, we felt that this restaurant was average hence my rating. We felt that the value of the meal was not as good as some other places we've been to in the past. We likely won't return and I don't think I would recommend this place over others.

Our waitstaff was headed by Kap & he did an excellent job. Told us to check out the happy hour menu since it was almost over, so we could get appetizers in at a reduced price. Ordered the calamari (crunchy, yet tender), bruschetta caprese (piled high with mozzarella & basil & chopped tomato), Caesar salad (crisp greens with a garlicky Caesar dressing), meatballs (2 large in a marinara sauce - so tender). They also have sliced warm bread on the table with olive oil/balsamic or butter. The drinks were perfect - nice and chilled and crafted perfectly. Kap also made a great recommendation on a bottle of wine. The menu has changed though. Some of our favorites have disappeared... (seafood risotto), so tried other dishes. Carbonara is so rich & creamy. The pizza margharita was cooked perfectly with a nice crust, but was a little lackluster in taste (not enough cheese maybe?). I did order a side of pesto to add some flavor. The lobster ravioli is always great here, so 2 people ordered it. Added chicken to the vodka penne (grandson's plate was completely emptied). Also had a fettuccini Montanara. Everyone but the grandson had leftovers to take home, so servings more than adequate. Kap really made the dinner perfect. Attentive without being over-bearing & making great recommendations throughout. Will definitely be back.
