    Earrings

This was my 2nd time coming here and designing my own jewelry and I loved it so much! Even though I got a little overwhelmed over the many choices of charms and accessories I had a blast with the experience. This time around I decided to make a pair of earrings that complimented my love for silver but also mix in a pop of color and of course my fur babies. So I ended up finding 2 cat faces 1 silver and 1 gold in color, then added something bluish with a little sparkle! It turned out better than expected. I believe the price was well worth it in my opinion. If it's your first time you'll see that every charm has its price labeled in the little boxes, all you need to do is write and label the price /little description on your card that comes with your tray. The girl that assisted me with my earrings was very nice and helpful at showing me the options I can choose to finish off my piece. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area!!

    Two different charm bracelets

We spent about $147 without tip for two bracelets and 12 charms total. This was a splurge but something we anticipated prior to starting the process. Each charm is $5+ and the bracelets are $10+ unless you get one of their gold plated ones which one of us did get. It is a little confusing when you walk in because there are no explicit instructions. There were only 1-2 people working at a time but the store can get busy especially if people stop in to look but aren't actually shopping for anything. Once you start shopping for charms there are clear sections of common themed charms but there isn't signage for that, you learn by doing the activity itself. We had to flag someone down for them to explain the process but the girls working there were so kind. I had read prior reviews about poor customer service toward POC, however, my husband and I both are POC and we felt very comfortable. Both girls went the extra mile to look for pieces that we wanted and couldn't find. We loved our pieces but when we got to the car realized they were too big on our wrists. When we came back to ask for them to be cut, there was no hesitation. It was done right away and they were extremely patient with us as we kept needing to adjust the sizing. There is a big selection and the ambience is great. I don't anticipate to wear this daily as the girls working were extremely clear that they can tarnish. There was a section of charms that would not tarnish (like the bracelet option) but the selection is SLIM and nowhere near as cute as the other options. Overall, a great experience. We hope to be back in the future.

I haven't made a charm bracelet since I was a kid! It was so nice to go inside this cute store and make matching charm necklaces/bracelets with my friends. I ended up going with a pearl/jewel/chain necklace ($18) and each charm is about $4-6 depending on the size. There are so many charms and chains to choose from... you could easily spend hours here! At the end, you choose your chain and the store associate will add the charms are and give you a text when all the jewelry is made (it took made 20 min for the 3 of ours to be completed).

I love Brooklyn Charm!!! The girls that work here are always so sweet & welcoming! It's my go to place to take my friends that visit! The wide variety of charm choices are always so cute and different ones are always stocked when I come! My bestie and I got matching charms and we are in love with them!!!

My niece wanted to try this "make your own jewelry place. They have an amazing selection of charms that you can put on a bracelet or necklace. They were featuring Halloween themed pieces when we were there. The chains are of a very high quality and look great! The service was excellent they assembled a bracelet for my daughter and one for my niece in 20 minutes! The prices are great too!

What an amazing experience! Overwhelmed by the selection I could've stayed in there for hours! Made a necklace for my sister in law and it's so wonderful how much care and thought you could put into such a trinket! I can't wait to go back to Make my own!

The store is cute but steer clear of their mystery bags. See photo. $15 for 10 items. I only got 9 items. A single clip on earring without its pair apparently counted as an item. And a piece of actual ribbon, a broken bracelet and another bracelet with the beads broken off. To add to it we were 1 of two customers in the store and the girl stood there ignoring us as we waited to be rung up. It was a bizarre experience. We felt unwanted. The 3 stars is because you can tell the owner put a lot of care into the store but the employees just don't care. It's unfortunate. We want to show support to our local downtown businesses but that's hard when you feel unwanted as a customer. I felt like I made a $15 donation to be honest.

Definitely a MUST if you love custom jewelry and getting creative with your pieces. Went to Cali for memorial weekend and stayed in LA so this was about a 45 min drive but worth it. We got there with enough time to get coffee up the block and we were still part of the first group when they opened. It can get crowded so that's the best time to go. There are so many charms to choose from and I was so proud of my necklace. I also found a cute wishbone charm that I decided to make a separate necklace and everything came out to 103 which is a great deal to me. In Miami this would've been a lot more money. The service is also great because the girls are do helpful and experts on the chains and what looks good. I would definitely go back!

    My sons chain with charms.

Great selection. I would just say it's a little pricey for the quality. Expect to pay $$$ Service was good once at the register , could have used a little help when we first got there, but they were busy.

I have been to Ventura a handful of times and finally had a chance to drop by Brooklyn Charm. They had a bunch of little charms to look through and different vibes that you can achieve with the charms they give + the chains they offer. They are super organized where you have a writing system to tell them which charms you chose and how much they are. They put the charms on your bracelet and if it's not crowded - it takes less than 10 minutes for them to put the charms on. They even will text you when your bracelet is ready, so you're able to walk around the other shops while you wait. Such a cute gift or fun activity to do if you're in the area!

Worth the 2 hour drive, drove from the LA area up to Ventura just to visit this store! Me and my friends went early on a sunday afternoon, and have already planned to come back again soon. We got there at roughly noon (based on a tiktok recc) and it was the PERFECT time, we got there before the rush and were able to get our necklaces in at a great time! There are so many charms, it took our group (8 people) anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, so be ready to take your time. The selection was amazing, each charm comes in gold or silver, and some in different finishes as well! They had such a wide range of charms, it was so fun finding them! Each charm varied from $3 to $10 based on size and detail, so the prices were great. They also have sterling silver ones were in the teens and up in terms of price. I bought 9 charms and my total was right under $40. We also bought our chains beforehand, which we all highly recommend! Once you pay for them, they take your tray to assemble the charm necklace. I really appreciated that they took a look at it and confirmed you loved it, yet were open to providing feedback if you wanted! By the time some of us handed them over it was busy, but the longest it took to wait was roughly 35 minutes (told 45 minutes) and some of them were ready within 20 minutes! The store is located in a super convenient location, theres cafes, restaurants, and more everywhere so time goes by quick. The associates there were BEYOND sweet, they were walking around talking to everyone as it got busier, and were able to get the line moving. You can also tell that they're very knowledgeable and experienced in this, so you can trust them with your piece. At one point I was specifically looking for an airplane for my last charm, and the girl I asked for help, took my right to it! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Parking wise, there's a free lot up a very small hill, and it's right behind the store so it was great.

This store had some good finds... however there is no one at the front of the store to greet you on how the bead selections work with writing down the prices of what you get... I will say that the service at checkout was really good. The individual prices are killer if you are looking to buy to make other pieces of jewelry instead of one necklace as typically seen on social media. We still had fun and made the most of it. I was happy to see the hanging Hank beads

First necklace I made. About $62 w tip

One of the gals mentioned they knew the owner of the place that we should check out the store and see if the owner was in town. While waiting for the owner we took a look around and found some cute, fun and funny things! They had a Christmas tree decorated with camping themed merchandise which of course caught our attention. They had a little bit of everything for almost everyone and any age. Well, maybe not for infants at least i don't recall seeing anything for infants. The found the prices on some of the merchandise to be reasonable. Some of the clothing were on the pricey side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't purchase the really cute, and funny kitchen towels, I did purchase a couple of stickers (I enjoy stickers!). This business will find me here again if ever in the area.

I found something for my aunt to make as a gift. She's making a goal to get around to all of the National Parks, and is steadily chipping away at it. What I got will help memorialize that in a whimsical way. The ladies who work the store are friendly and helpful, which makes the shopping experience even more delightful. Home goods and gifts this store really has it all. I also appreciate the layout and that items are kind of categorized by theme or item. For example, where I first walked in they had two tables filled with beachy items. Pillows, wall decor, stickers, mugs, candles you name it. Really convenient when you have a theme or idea in mind and they have an entire table dedicated to those items. In the back were the cutest and softest baby clothes. Some of my friends have had little ones and I will definitely be back to shop for them. For myself I'm coming back for some super cozy sweaters - it's just too hot right now and at almost $50 a pop, it wasn't a need. The prices range. Some items seem reasonable and others are slightly overpriced in my opinion BUT the convenience of getting so many cute things all in one spot makes worth paying a little more okay in my eyes as it's a one stop shop. Lastly the staff are nice here. Everyone says hello and they greet you with good vibes. They are helpful but don't hover. All in all this is a great store in downtown and I'll be back soon to snag some goodies.

I don't know how the owner manages to find room to add more stuff. Regardless, I really like a lot of things here, but speaking honestly, I found the prices to be a bit on the pricey side... not surprising for a gift store, but still, I found myself more justifying why I shouldn't buy it as opposed to convincing myself that I absolutely "needed" to have it.... or even buy as gifts for others. I thought about future Christmas gifts, but again, spending a lot of money for things so very tiny (some were)... so I kept saying no. I suppose I can always come back here.....I really do like what this store has to offer.
