One of the gals mentioned they knew the owner of the place that we should check out the store and see if the owner was in town. While waiting for the owner we took a look around and found some cute, fun and funny things! They had a Christmas tree decorated with camping themed merchandise which of course caught our attention. They had a little bit of everything for almost everyone and any age. Well, maybe not for infants at least i don't recall seeing anything for infants. The found the prices on some of the merchandise to be reasonable. Some of the clothing were on the pricey side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't purchase the really cute, and funny kitchen towels, I did purchase a couple of stickers (I enjoy stickers!). This business will find me here again if ever in the area.

They've always done a good job of creating small vignettes to show off different themes. This being Ventura, they definitely carry a lot of beach-themed items. One area that caught my eye this time was a section with camping / get outdoors / celebrating the National Parks merchandise. Some very cute and unique stuff to be had in that section. I found something for my aunt to make as a gift. She's making a goal to get around to all of the National Parks, and is steadily chipping away at it. What I got will help memorialize that in a whimsical way. The ladies who work the store are friendly and helpful, which makes the shopping experience even more delightful. Take your sense of humor in when you visit - you never know what you'll find to make you smile and even laugh out loud.

I love Gymboree…read more Sad my boys are too old for me to shop there. Ahhh, thank goodness for nephews and friends' babies though. You are always welcome by a staff upon arrival. They have been always very friendly and helpful. They ask if you need help without being pushy or annoying. You can always find a coupon on magazines, if you don't, it's all good. They are always running sales. Their apparel washes well and they have lots of accessories. Did I mention their merchandise is super cute?? They have a tv that plays yo-gabba-gabba while you shop, so if your little one isn't into browsing for a new outfit he/she can watch a fun and safe show. The only downside it's the size of the store. We stopped by the Nurture Cottage when we were walking on Coast Village Road one morning last month and my husband wrangled the toddler while I browsed the store, ready to hand over our money. The place was super cute, a sweet little building with a barn door and enticing display windows. I asked the cashier, who I think was the owner, where I might find 24-month clothes for boys and she directed me to the right areas. I ended up getting Angel Dear bear print pajamas and a set of Sol Angeles sweatshirt and joggers. Check-out was easy and fast and the woman helping me was friendly. Both the pajamas and the sweats are in heavy rotation on the baby, and I liked the Sol Angeles set so much that I bought an identical one for myself (I wear it for days at a time). We look very cute in our matching outfits--he looks extremely cute and I look like a grown woman in sweats, but it averages out. I'll probably be back to Nurture Cottage next time I'm in Montecito, and I expect to find more nice clothes to dress my little model of a boy.

The team went above and beyond to show us everything they had (they have a second location in the back with more dollhouse stuff). Prices were very reasonable and it didn't feel like we were being gouged just because it was downtown Montecito. And then when we found out that the proceeds actually go towards a nonprofit foundation, we wanted to simply buy everything. God bless these wonderful ladies for everything they do!

Home goods and gifts this store really has it all. I also appreciate the layout and that items are kind of categorized by theme or item. For example, where I first walked in they had two tables filled with beachy items. Pillows, wall decor, stickers, mugs, candles you name it. Really convenient when you have a theme or idea in mind and they have an entire table dedicated to those items. In the back were the cutest and softest baby clothes. Some of my friends have had little ones and I will definitely be back to shop for them. For myself I'm coming back for some super cozy sweaters - it's just too hot right now and at almost $50 a pop, it wasn't a need. The prices range. Some items seem reasonable and others are slightly overpriced in my opinion BUT the convenience of getting so many cute things all in one spot makes worth paying a little more okay in my eyes as it's a one stop shop.
