Very nice local store for hardware and feed supply. Family owned and operated. Fair people to do business with.

This is actually a really good Lowe's. I'm from Rhode Island and we are all about Home Depot there-…read morebut unfortunately in CT- the closest one is really far away- so I decided to give Lowe's a try and was pleasantly surprised. I started off in their garden center where I needed a couple of things for my roses- such as trellis and what not. They had decent prices for white vinyl trellis' online, which you can't find anywhere at that price. However, when I came into the store- I realized it wasn't white vinyl- it was wood painted white- which explained- the really low price. Their website is not that user friendly to be honest. Just saying- it may be easier to come in & take a look. The store itself is quite large and several people asked if I needed help- which was very nice to see. They had a huge variety of items in here and appeared to have a lot in stock. Of course I needed about 15 random things & the only thing I was unable to purchase because it wasn't in stock- would be the reflective #s for my mailbox! I needed 2230 and there was no number 3 in any size in stock unfortunately. Otherwise- they had everything else that i needed- including plants, garden trellis, flowers, ant killer, bird feed, hummingbird feed, spray paint, driveway markers and windex! Overall I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of items in stock & I really enjoyed their indoor patio area- where they show you patio's set up, grills, bbqs, outdoor kitchens, etc. I would definitely come back - especially for their flowers! They were beautiful and all appeared to be in really good shape!

Terrible communication this place sucks just buy what's available the store don't order online cause they suck

The owner Stephen Dugas exceeded my expectations, offering good solid advice and provided a delivery to my home at no charge. He was experienced and prepared for the delivery up twenty-two steps on stone stairs, plus another set of stairs thru the porch, thru the home to carefully place it at the exact location on the second floor directly in front of the fireplace for the installer. Weighing almost 400 pounds I could not have done it on my own. Buy local and trust Stephen he will take good care of you! I will be a repeat customer for another one in the basement, in the future. I contacted Steve and he reluctantly removed the motor and took it back to the store where he said he replaced the bearings. It made no difference. His last attempt to fix the problem was to tap the motor with a hammer. He has never returned since. To this day, now 3 years later, I still have a squealing stove. I have never heard from Steve again. Steve was absolutely no help at all. I spent a lot of money and got extremely poor service. Steve made his money and I was on my own. They are not a company you want to deal with. To be treated as if you are a burden to him is disgusting. He never followed up and more importantly never fixed the problem. He just couldn't be bothered.
