Based on my estimates of the time the job would take, they were much cheaper than any of the 5 other companies we got quotes from. In the end though, the job did take longer than expected. They used three employees and a large truck. They provided blankets, plastic wrap, and tape to properly protect all items for transport. If they noticed any preexisting damage on the furniture, they notified us promptly so we were aware. Initially, they worked quite efficiently, but began to slow down during the second half of pick-up. What I thought would take about 4 hours ended up being a 6 hour job, including a 45 minute drive to the new place. They still came in cheaper than the next best quote we were considering, but not by much. When they finished the move, they left a mountain of tape, plastic, and cardboard, which they supplied, in our hallway. We thought they would clean it up before leaving, but we were left with that task, which was disappointing. They require a $50 + tax deposit to reserve a move. You pay the balance after all the work is done. They offer a discount if you pay in cash. Overall, they were professional and moving is grueling work so I have no major complaints, other than the debris they left behind. But be mindful that the time-based quote may add up, so be prepared to spend more than you might anticipate.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. If you are deciding whether or not to book them take this review as a sign that you should NEVER work with them and go with another company. I had gone with them for my move because I had used them last year. And even though the move last year was mediocre (late arrival, workers spending time to use my bathroom without asking, slow communication, etc) I still decided to go with them because they gave a really nice return customer discount which was far below all of the other quotes that I saw around. When I first started to communicate with them everything was going pretty well. Communication was quick and I had all my questions answered quickly and efficiently. However, after I paid my deposit and COI charges everything went downhill from there. I had worked it out with David before to have my COIs sent out ASAP due to the request of my buildings since I was told they usually send out the COIs 1-2 days before a move. They were able to send out the COIs early last year during my other move so I knew it was possible albeit they were also very laggy on that last year as well but still got done. David told me to message him a weekend two weeks before my move to make sure my COIs were sent out which I did with no answer. I gave them till the following Monday and still no message after asking again. After some badgering I finally received a message on Wednesday saying he would check in with me by tomorrow and let me know. And still no update or answer. This went on till the next Monday where I never received an answer to a simple "Is my COI sent out like you promised" question. During this whole time I am pretty sure they were fielding my calls as well because I was always sent straight to voicemail. Finally, after no actual response and no idea what was going to happen with a move that was seeming to probably never happen I asked them directly if this move was going to happen and never received a response. So that forced me to find another moving company around 4 days before my move. Which really amplified my anxiety on top of an already stressful situation such as moving. This whole situation just felt like such a scam - they got their money and completely ghosted and did not give any service or just basic communication. They handled this situation so unprofessionally. Heed this warning and NEVER work with Clean Cut Moving.
