Was helped by a guy who clearly did not want to work, and who made me feel that helping me out was really a big favor on his part. (At one point I even saw him roll his eyes to another sales person, after I asked if exterior paint would be a better idea for my furniture project). The second time he was by was himself now (Caucasian guy with glasses) and just rude. I need smaller pieces of wood to put under my AC window unit and Brooklyn Hardware Supply had exactly that. Home Depot in the city will not cut lumber, and Lowe's in Brooklyn won't cut lumber as small as I needed it. This place had perfectly cut planks, $2 each. The staff was friendly, eating breakfast as I was making my transaction but helpful nonetheless. Plus it's in walking distance! I'm not sure I'd recommend traveling for this shop.
