I only rented one machine for just a few hours, and hate to think the incredibly poor service was because of how small my order was but yet here we are. I was quoted a price for a snow cone machine with cart and attendant, and then received an email from Vinny with my quote and a credit card authorization form attached. All details appeared correct based on my phone call, so I signed and sent back. Later that week he let me know there would be an additional $100 fee because July 3rd was considered a holiday. After a bit of back and forth via email with me expressing my disappointment (this was never mentioned on the phone or in the quote, and the date was known since the beginning) I went ahead with the order because I knew how happy it would make my staff. The attendant arrived that day (she was lovely), set up everything, and the staff enjoyed it. But there wasn't a cart - just a snow cone machine on a folding table. When I asked Vinny about this, he said the cart cost more. When I let him know I was under the impression that my quote included the cart because that's what we spoke about, and exactly what was written on the sheet I signed, he stopped responding. So that's brings me to today! Paid over $500 for a box of ice on a table.

During drop off, the caterer also provided printed instructions that they just either didn't read, or outright ignored. They served pork sliders to our vegetarian guests even though the instructions and menu stated they were pork. During dinner service, they just ignored the provided instructions and menu and just decided to mix meat and shrimp into some vegetarian dishes - so we had to throw out tainted food, which was a waste of our money. Some tables barely got any food, other tables didn't eat until almost the end of the night. On top of that, one of the waiters called my wife directly to tell her that he would be late instead of contacting the wedding coordinator (we provided the coordinator info specifically to them so that he wouldn't be bothering the bride on the day of). We took a lot of time to get the menu right and provide detailed instructions to the staff, and they completely botched it. Not only that, but they had to throw out food because we took very specific care to ensure dishes didn't have allergens in them. It's fortunate that none of our guests had allergic reactions or anaphylaxis - this is the food service industry, and wholly unacceptable. Hiring these people put a huge damper on our otherwise wonderful celebration.
