Two amazing men waited on us. My husband was looking a pleated tuxedo shirt with French cuffs. Ken and Danny went overboard to help us find one. Their store did not have one. This store is 10 minutes from my place. I do all my BB alterations and online returns here. Sometimes I do purchases at the store if my size is available or place an order with their assistance. I shop for my friends who live at Fort Bragg and have them schedule their alterations all the way here (it's worth the drive if you want to get it done well the first time). The customer service and tailors are awesome. Alterations have been done in 24-48 hrs! It's such a convenience. I'm very surprised that the store's rating is so low because I'm always treated well. I have brought friends here; they get measured and purchase nothing, and the customer service never changes. I've wore jeans, shorts or running clothing, and I have always been treated the same. I've seen all kinds of customers here (age, gender, outfits, school level, etc.), and they get treated the same. I've read all the reviews about their customer service in Yelp, but I have not experienced any of that. Most of the reviews are of people being disappointed for not being treated like royalty. I don't expect to be served champagne here or at any other store. The customer service will help you if you need and ASK for assistance. Otherwise, why do you want a chaperon to follow you throughout the store? Ask your parents to shop for you in that case. I recommend anyone to shop here with confidence and ask for assistance when you need it (at the very start or throughout your experience). They are people just like you. read more

Although she was multi tasking with other clients..Susan contacted another location for a gift for my grandson. I was amazed how calm and professional she was assisting multiply situations. along with her colleague Robert I completed my visit Feeling confident and impressed. Ordered a made to measure suit here. Not only does it not fit with the boots I wore to both fittings but they changed features on it I specifically requested. When I complained they told me there was nothing they could do. Not only does the $1200 suit not match the specifications I requested, I now have to pay another tailor to fix it and had to buy different boots. I got to speak with the store manager today by phone thanks to some follow up on their end about my complaint. I appreciate their effort discuss my experience with me and apologize. Rather than a simple form email, I got a personal call. With reflection, I think it's fair to say the staff had no idea that I was disappointed. They were surprised to hear that I had complained about my visit. I didn't flip out in the store or yell at anyone; I try not to make that my style. However, it's unfortunate that no one was able to identify that I was uncomfortable. Many of my perceived slights were lots of little things that, when added together, appeared like a trend. Two things undeniably disappointing and inexcusable about my experience are 1) not being properly greeted and 2) not being shown any significant merchandise in 30 minutes in the store. When you consider that's probably rule #1 & #2 of retail, then I guess that's still a considerable failure. From our conversation I gather there is frequently confusion about Outlet vs. Regular store merchandise. Apparently some or many customers assume everything is the same in both stores and that my experience might have been a result of overcompensating for the confusion of other customers. I can only take them at their word on that. Maybe I'm just a shop-a-holic, but I clearly know the difference between overrun and last season's goods at an outlet and the fresh out of the catalog stuff you'll find in a mall like Crabtree. Either way, I feel the staff should review how they handle those interactions to avoid this problem in the future. No matter how frustrating it might be for the staff, I wouldn't share with customers that you wish you didn't have to take the outlet returns or exchanges. Credit to the Brooks Brothers corporate staff and management for responding to my disappointing experience and seeking to make it right. I wasn't looking for a discount or coupon, but just a chance to voice my opinion so this doesn't happy to anyone else. As of Sunday afternoon, I never would have stepped foot in that store again. Update 5/30/17: I just received a call from the store manager who apologized for my negative experience and personally extended an invitation to try their store again. I greatly appreciate their devotion to their customers and their willingness to reach out. Due to the quick response in trying to rectify the situation, I am willing to stop by in the future. Original Review: Will not be returning to their physical store at this location. I usually purchase from BB online since I am not a mall shopper but decided to drop in this evening (5/26/17 around 7:30pm) to look for a dress for Memorial Day weekend. Came in, not a single soul spoke to us or acknowledged our presence. Picked out a dress, tried it on, still no one said a word. Made eye contact with the lady at the checkout desk but still not a peep. I put the dress back on the rack and left. Phyllis has been a great help in the past (she wasn't working) but this evening was a complete turn off for me. Don't know if it was because I'm a person of color or because I wasn't dressed to the nines and they assumed I couldn't afford anything. Either way, I'll stick to online shopping. read more

When I can convince my hubby to a trip to the mall for me, my plan is to always accidentally walk by a store like Brooks Brothers with the hope that he will somehow wander in and spruce up his wardrobe. Luckily for me, my plan this weekend worked. I feel like this location is smaller than other locations I have been to, but that might just be me. If they do not have something in stock, the staff had always been very helpful with ordering the items for us and making sure it get shipped quickly. Staff here is incredibly nice and hands on. I do feel bad however when I'm looking for a certain size while my hubby is in the changing room and they want to take over. I appreciate the support and service, truly, but I'm not so snoody that I can't handle switching out one pair of pants for another. Obviously if there is just 1 customer trying on items, by all means help him (or her) out. But if I want to get up and walk around the store to keep myself busy while my significant other debates between beige and tan pants, please give me a bit of independence. read more

I wasn't serviced at all and was ignored for the first ten minutes, then someone asked me if I need help. Wow I did not know the attention they give their customers and realized they were all busy with someone. I really thought they would continue to ignore me because I was wearing ragged short and tanked top. They really know their stuff about the suits and they really give the correct advices (tested them). Also, they went out of their way to find the shoes that would fit for me. The only thing I wish is that there prices wasn't so high on the custom suits. read more

Terrible service. I've been going to Brooks Brothers for years. I don't mind spending for the high-priced merchandise but I expect quality and I expect good service. I recently spent more than $4,000 at this store but got lousy service from Michael L. Very friendly when it came to taking my order but couldn't get off his ass to call me when the merchandise arrived. Promised he'd call me when it was ready but didn't. After it was overdue I finally called and sure enough it had been there for days. When I asked Michael why he never called me he launched into personal excuses and then a ton of attitude. This same thing actually happened twice as my order had several parts. I asked to have the store manager call me but - you guessed it - I've never received a call. The bottom line is that they trade on their reputation and they're quick to take your money but don't think for a minute that you'll get good service. Just a lot of attitude. Wow. I really don't have words to describe our experience. My husband and I came in a couple weeks ago to get a shirt for an upcoming military ball. He had his measurements taken but the staff did not listen to our requests. When we got the shirt in the mail it was much too small for his neck and he couldn't swallow when wearing it but our event was the next day so we bought an extender for the neck and he wore it anyways. When we came in to exchange it, (We live an hour and a half away btw) we met Mark. He was extremely rude to us and it felt as though we were being interrogated when he asked us questions concerning the exchange. We felt attacked and despite him ordering the correct size for us in the end, we don't think we will be returning. Apparently the customer is not always right to the snobby staff at this location. The issue with the measurements were taken care of but with a very condescending attitude that a place of business should never allow. You'll have a better and probably more reasonably priced experience at Men's Wearhouse or a local tailor. read more

I am a college student and I go in this store about every-everyother month. Most employees actually know me now or even by name. Most of the time they stop whatever they are doing to walk over and say hello and chat! I only buy stuff in here 4-5 times per year so only 40% of the times I visit. They even send me a hand written Thank You card and invitations to my specific corporate discount days. I know that they are heavily commissioned based, which is why they probably get these bad reviews but they treat me good and I love to stop on in when I get a chance. Their selection is good for an average BB store and they have done me huge favors, like ship me stuff for free- after I had already recieved 50% off on the accessory, and they have held my new NCSU shirts and called be as soon as they arrived..thats great service! read more

I can only speak for the men's side of Brooks Brothers. This is the place I've purchased 90% of all my shirts, pants, and ties for work over the past 20 years as a real estate agent, and before that a consultant. I spend at least $1000 each year at this store. They went through a period of time about 10 years ago where their clothing got a little cheap (and didn't last as long), but now the quality it back 100%. The clothing stays looking good for YEARS, even after many cleanings, and is very resistant to wear. The staff is normally helpful. I give it only two stars because what happened, after being a very good customer for all these years, when I went back to return a sweater that ended up being too small. The salesperson (from whom I had bought two pairs of pants and two shirts a few weeks ago for over $400) asked me if I had worn it, and I said "yes, once", to which he replied "we take returns on clothing that has been worn". I just said "you can keep it", and I left. What I didn't get a chance to explain, and didn't really want to, was that I had bought three sweaters last season at $150 each, all size "L". This year, I bought this new sweater, size "L", and didn't try it on, just brought it home. I wore it one day, and it seemed a little tight, and a little short, but I'm not the best at knowing right away if something fits, and my wife said it looked fine. But I realized after wearing it for a day that it just wan't right. So I tried to return it. So I didn't think that was a very good way to treat a customer. read more

This store is a textbook example of what I call "Attitudidous" ... You are quickly sized up when you enter the shop and if you do not fit the "profile" of a Brooks Brothers customer then you can forget be recognized much less receiving acceptable customer service. I experienced this first hand: First, I stopped by after work professionally attired and experienced personal hands on service beyond reproach. A couple of weeks later, I dropped by after a gym workout in sweatpants, a baseball cap, gym sneakers, and sweatshirt. I was totally ignored until I practically forced myself upon the sales clerk (the same fellow who had assisted me previously). When I paid for my items I purposely used my Brooks Brothers plate and suddenly the attitude adjustment was 180 degrees. I find this rather amusing if it were not so sad and unfortunately stereotypical of the BB experience for those who "don't measure up" when they are "sized up" at the door. I now place most of my B/B purchases on-line and just avoid the attitude. The ironic thing about this to me is I lived in DC for many years and often shopped at the Connecticut Ave and Rhode Island Ave store. Regardless of how I was dressed I never experienced this sort of silly snooty attitude with any of the DC sales associates. BB Corporate needs to reign in these wanna be blue blood sales associates ... It is an embarrassment to the company not to mention the associates but then if they had a clue they wouldn't behave as such to begin with. I stick with the website. read more

Summary: A great company, a great product, a terrible store. I love Brooks Brothers and their products. I normally shop online but wanted to go to a store, so I stopped by this one. I wasn't dressed the best, untucked shirt, jeans, casual shoes, etc...No one approached me at first but once I asked an associate for help he showed me about the store. Some lady then kind of took over and started showing me around. Talking to her was the most painful experience of my life. One of those people who doesn't say but a couple of words every 5 minutes. I inquired about a "polo shirt" and she stared off into deep thought for 30 seconds as I talked...She finally said, oh you are talking about a "knit shirt." Basically made me feel like an idiot. I don't know what planet she is from but even Brooks Brothers calls a polo, a polo. I then asked about a button down sport shirt and her response was "They are all button down" referring to the 2 buttons on a polo/"knit" shirt. I mean, come on! She had me try on a "body sample" shirt to see if I was slim or original fit. It was a strange shirt with weird sleeves. I found a shirt I really like and asked about trying it on to see how it looked and see how an actual shirt really fit. She said she didn't want to have to fold it and was going to try and find a shirt that was already unfolded...Not even of the same pattern or shirt! Unbelievable! Now, I am a professional student, I don't have gobs of money and if I am going to pay 90 bucks for a shirt, I am sure going to try it on first. So as I was finally walking back to the dressing room with my shirt I see her walk over and start whispering with other staff members, and I would be shocked if it wasn't about me. Update: I went back to this store again because I was in Raleigh. I was dressed nicer than before (Allen Edmonds, Ralph Lauren, Hamilton, etc..) I walked in and was 'assisted' right away. I asked about some pants sizing/names, answered. I asked about the sales going on, answered, sarcastically...but I think that was just the nature of the employee after dealing with them more. I did what I had previously recommended. Picked out a 100 dollar shirt (on sale for 50)...Didn't try it on...Browsed through some other stuff...Laughed with the fellow suited gentlemen about the lower class philistine scum that I had to be near in the mall walking here, how awful? (kidding).Then checked out. Much smoother than before. Again, Brooks Brothers is Brooks Brothers...The employees are all dressed in formal business wear...So when the stylish young man dressed like he had just come from Hot Topic and Pacsun walked in to ask for an application, the employees obviously snickered with each other when he left. I'm surprised they don't have a doorman who won't let you in unless you can provide a recent payslip and have a tie on. My personal recommendation is only go over here if you are suit shopping or really want to see an item in person...The shipping/return isn't free from their website, but it's worth the convenience and the absence of a painful experience with employees. Plus, once you get your size dialed in like I now have, you don't really have to send much back. Brooks is still my go to manufacturer, just not my go to retail store! read more

I would love to write a good review, but I cannot. I love Brooks Brothers, just not this location. On my first and most likely last visit, I was followed around the tie section by a sales person. I was very closely watched and slightly harassed. She stood too close to my wife and myself and would not leave us alone. Asking us 3-4 times if we needed help. As I politely said no, she just stood there and watched. Another example, I would put my hands on a tie, then move around to the other side of the table and as soon as I moved, the sales person would go to where I was and count/check the ties I was just touching. Outrageous. I didn't think anything of it the first time, but the 2nd, then 3rd, and then 4th time confirmed I wasn't being overly sensitive. I still purchased the ties, as they have a very nice tie selection. During checkout she would not look me in the eyes or fully acknowledge me. It is very awkward when doing business and the sales person is this way and it sends a bad message.
