I'm probably ten pounds heavier now, but I don't care. Great hospitality, warm and inviting and not overly pretentious. Tried all the appetizers, yes, ALL. My favorite was the ahi tuna with wontons, I also destroyed some nachos and used extra chips to scrape up the crab dip the rest of my party left behind. Cheese curds, meh... The sage salad was a new dish for me but like an old friend who knows all my favorite stuff. Ate the whole damn thing! I was thoroughly impressed with the baseball size burrata on top; it traveled well in my tummy snowmobiling back to base. Haha. I can also comment on the avocado jalapeño soup that I polished off for someone. Delicious! Not too heavy, not too spicy. I heard others say this was the best hot chocolate they ever had. We had fried cookie dough for dessert, but by that point even the fact that I'm technically eating for two I could only handle a few bites. From start to finish this was a great experience. The Lodge staff took care of my son and I like we were part of the family. From archery to hiking they fulfilled our list of activities. The chef catered to all of my needs providing an incredible culinary experience despite my specific food needs. Brooks Lake Lodge (BLL) is a Winter Wonderland outside Jackson Hole/Yellowstone WY. After lots of research this was our pick for our winter honeymoon destination (5 nights 4 days - March 2020) and it was the BEST decision ever. Absolutely LOVED our time here. 5+**** First and foremost the staff here is AMAZING! It was like visiting family. Everyone is down to earth and super super friendly. From housekeeping, Natasha our server (Ice Fishing Queen), our guide Max, the departing GM Adam, the new GM Matthew and everyone else, we can't say enough about how well they all took care of us. They went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible. Snow taxi to Lodge: First our driver greeted us at parking lot just off the main road, loaded our bags and we were off to the historic BLL. It's about a 5-mile ride from the main road and you literally feel the stress and worries leaving you mile by mile as you enjoy the serene beauty that is all around you. Lodge: Once we arrived at the lodge tucked away between the snowy capped mountains of Pinnacle Buttes, Brooks Mountain and Richard's Peak, we were welcomed by Matthew the new GM. Received a tour of the lodge while they delivered our bags to our cabin. The views from the lodge (and cabins) are stunning! I can't put into words the granger of it all. The fireplaces in the lodge are just magnificent. We loved sitting by them enjoying morning coffee, afternoon tea with fresh baked cookies and before & after dinner. The lodge is the main gathering spot, best place to receive WiFi (if you even want to connect to the outside world) and a place where guests visit with one another and exchange stories about their days adventures. Cabin: We stayed in the Prospector. Historic rustic, warm, cozy but very roomy one bedroom, one bath cabin with oh so comfy king bed, living room with couch, 2 chairs and a log burning stove. There was wood delivered daily so we never ran out and we used A LOT! Loved our early mornings watching the sunrise with a fire going, drinking coffee looking out at the Pinnacle Buttes was the best way to start our day. Housekeeping was very attentive to our requests and the cabin was always clean. Experience: There is so much to do. You would be amazed at how much FUN you can have when its cold and snowy outside. We spent our days relaxing in the cabin and lodge, snowmobiling (2 days), mornings of ice fishing, snow tubing down a hill (a BLAST), enjoyed the outside hot tub looking out at the spectacular winter wonderland and had an awesome massage at the onsite spa. Snowmobiling: This was the absolute highlight of our trip. Everything was amazing but snowmobiling in the backcountry is just plain EPIC. Such an amazing experience, one we will never forget. My husband has some snowmobiling experience and I had none. But I can tell you with the help of our guide Max, explaining everything and helping me ease into it I was able to keep up with them. Max was so good to us. He took us way out in the back trails, the views were incredible, husband got to do some off trail riding through tons of powder (a snowmobilers dream) saw herds of Elk and some moose. On our second day of snowmobiling Chef Whitney packed our lunch so we could be out all day and we ate in the backcountry looking out at the Grand Tetons. Not a soul around just peace and quiet with a picturesque back drop. Side Note: The snowmobile gear they provide is top notch and super warm. Food: The food was 5-star all the way. Breakfast was different every morning with variety of options, ie. fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt, granola (yummy good) breads, pastries, eggs to order, waffles, bacon, potatoes, etc. Lunches were BIG and HEARTY. Choices from appetizers (note: the appetizers are a meal in itself) soups & salads, entrees and desserts to die for. Dinner we dined on Elk tenderloin, Duck, Chilean Sea Bass, Idaho Trout, Buffalo Sirloin, Salmon and more. We were never hungry. Suggestion: BLL is at 9,200' elevation. We live in San Diego which is only at 62' elevation. If you have never been at high elevation, prepare for altitude sickness. Not everyone has issues but if you do it WILL ruin your trip. We prepared ourselves by hydrating (drinking lots of extra water, some with Nuun tablets) one week prior to our arrival. We also stayed at The Wort Hotel in Jackson which is at 6,237' elevation the night before to give our bodies a little time to acclimate. As an extra precaution we both received a prescription for medication that was only needed to take for 4 days. (2 days prior and 2 days while there). We had no issue with the elevation. Overall: We had an awesome Honeymoon! It was worth every penny. We didn't want to leave but we left feeling like we now have a bunch of new friends. Thank you Brooks Lake Lodge! After a trip to Jackson, Grand Teton and Yellowstone, Brooks Lake Lodge was the perfect spot to relax and be pampered for the final leg of our trip. The staff was amazing. Our 4 year old was treated like royalty from the second she stepped foot in the lodge. The food was 5 stars! Breakfast buffets never left you hungry, lunch was super and the dinner food quality and presentation was off the charts. We got out of our comfort zone and tried fly fishing, horseback riding and archery. Again, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. Even went hiking to the hidden waterfall where we had some lodge made granola that was second to none! An unforgettable journey for us and thankful we chose Brooks! read more

My review is for lunch. We took an all day snowmobile tour and stopped here for lunch. We loved the lodge and the lunch was better than we all expected. My son ordered an Elk Sloppy Joe and seemed pleased. My daughter ordered a burger and said it was fine. My bride ordered the nacho's for her meal and said she enjoyed the flavor. I went with the chicken sandwich - it was a little dry, but I enjoyed the fries. The place and setting was awesome.....would be really cool to stay overnight and experience the place fully. read more

Great food and atmosphere to stop at after snow mobile riding! Highly recommend the experience.

First off this place is amazing! Right from the start Miles picked us up in the snow coach. We had a 2 year old with us and he was awesome with her. When we arrived we were welcomed by an amazing hostess Donna who showed us around and explained how the meals worked. The afternoon tea and cheese hit the spot. We were a group of 7 that had two cabins. They were super cool with wood burning fire places. As for the meals, chef Whitney and sous chef Jason killed it with breakfast lunch and dinner. There was more than enough food at every meal. The spa was top notch, sitting in the 20 person tub and getting massages made this getaway one to remember. My brother in law and I had the pleasure of snowmobiling one day. It was snowing and we had received probably 15-20 inches. This is where Adam came into play. He was our guide who was also the GM of the lodge. He took us to places that I would of never found. We both said it was one of the best days on snow we have ever had! Adam thank you for that. Lastly, we got stuck for 2 extra days because of the storm. Adam and the staff were more than accommodating. There is nothing better than being snowed in at a lodge with your family. Brooks Lake Lodge, the setting, the staff...everything is amazing. You know you have arrived in a magical place when you arrive. Anything you want to do basically possible, and the staff will make it happen. We went for three nights for our 30th anniversary, and had a fantastic time. I then returned two weeks later with my daughter who was visiting for a day of snowmobiling. It felt like returning home. Everyone made sure our daughter had a great time and really got to see the beauty of Wyoming! Everyone was great but a special shoutout to the new GM Matthew, Natasha, Jared and Miles. read more

My family and I returned to Brooks Lake Lodge for the second time for my mother's birthday. Brooks lake was as amazing as I remember. A truly beautiful spot. My wife and I selected this lodge as part of our Western vacation and to celebrate her 60 th birthday. While expensive the service and atmosphere is suburb. We took in a photography activity along with a horseback ride and 7 mile hide to the North wilderness boundary. The staff is all friendly and helpful. They had 3 very obedient friendly dogs that roamed the lodge and grounds outside. Each meal was very enjoyable and the dinners were tasty and flavorful. Found that two of the staff are from our home state of Michigan. During the sunny, end of summer afternoon hike my wife said that the wilderness surroundings were the closest she felt to being as if in heaven... read more
