Loved the Trail's End and couldn't resist going back for a mug to remember it
Madelyn C.

We stayed here on our way to camping in the (incredible) Wind Rivers Range. The rooms are adorable, clean, cozy cabins with very thoughtful provided toiletries and additions (USB chargers near bed, razor/shave cream, fan, etc). The bed was BEYOND soft and comfortable. We called and reserved our room over the phone night-of, after a long delirious drive trying to find forest service camping near Jackson which had proved way too busy and packed with humans. The owner Scott was hilarious on the phone, quick to crack jokes. TO DO: 1. Go crack some beers on their riverside deck, it was so peaceful listening to the Wind River and sitting under the stars with the fairy lights. 2. Pet sweet boy BLUE in the lobby (many times), while staring at the cool arrowheads and decor 3. Grab a Cowboy Benedict for breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe, just down the street mmmm 4. Get into the Wind Rivers Range I want to come back and see more of the town. Would easily stay at Trail's End again. Don't sell it!!!

One of the cleanest hotels/motels on this earth. No-nonsense room- spotless, comfortable, strong WiFi. Scott was kind enough to stay up to welcome us for a late (11PM) check-in. The perfect stop in Dubois en route to Jackson, WY and Grand Tetons. Pleasant motel terrace area sits right on the river. Check out the giant Jackalope at the Exxon across the street.

Beautiful view!

Had to change plans as a result of military duty and owners retained deposit after initially stating they would return the deposit.

We went to sleep listening to the river just outside our window, and enjoyed beautiful views.

Jackson Hole Express Shuttle

Jackson Hole Express Shuttle

DO NOT USE THIS SHUTTLE SERVICE!!! Take a taxi instead!…read more They were late and after three calls and waiting 1/2 hour, it was clear that I was getting the run around. First I was told they will be 1/2 hr late because of traffic (on a Sunday in Jackson Hole?!). Second call was they will be still 1/2 hr late due to, this time, construction (again, on a Sunday in Jackon Hole?!). Third call was "the shuttle is in route to the airport. But with only one road from the airport and town, there was no Jackson Hole Shuttle nor construction to be seen from the taxi I ended up taking after waiting 1/2 hr and a very long travel day. The guy from Jackson Hole was basically lying and rather rude saying the fare was non-refundable. Other members on our tour that had used this shuttle said that they had to wait over an hour past their scheduled pickup times. On my return booking, I skipped this terribly unreliable shuttle since I had a connection through Denver that I didn't want to miss. And with upgraded seats that I paid an extra $400 for, I wasn't about to take a chance that the shuttle would show up at 5:15AM on a Saturday to take me and the Mrs. to the airport. This charge is being disputed with my credit card even though it was a non-refundable charge. Now I know why they list it as that. That way they can be as late as they want, or as I was told by an airport worker a, not show up at all. Also the hotel front desk person said that they have become unreliable. If I could give 0 stars I would! Again, DO NOT USE THIS SHUTTLE SERVICE!!! Take a taxi instead!

I don't like writing negative reviews, unless well earned. But looking at others' reviews, I see…read morethat my experience was not unique. I had pre-booked and prepaid for a one way pickup reservation for the airport to town for a specific time, 2:00PM departure. I arrived at the pickup location 5-10 minutes before departure time and discovered that the driver had given my seat to a walk-up rider. I mentioned my reservation and told him I had my paid receipt on hand. The driver said the van was full, but that another van would show up soon, for a departure that would leave around 2:30. A friend who works at the airport offered to give me a ride into town so I told the driver I was cancelling my reservation and wanted my fare returned to my credit card. The driver gave me the phone number to call, so I left them a message but have not had any response from the company in the four intervening weeks. Their price is reasonable (hence one star) , so I may use in the future, but I won't bother making a reservation. The reservations are meaningless and only favor the company, not the customer.

After being in a highly chlorinated hot tub I wanted to rinse off and hydrate my skin with some lotion. None to be found in the men's locker room. I asked one of the massage therapist who happened to be walking by and she said "we don't put lotion in the locker rooms". My response- "you don't provide lotion in a spa locker room"? Her response "nope". She was very rude, snappy and short in her responses. The inside temp of the spa was 88 degrees. We felt like we were suffocating in very hot air. Unfortunately we ended up leaving before our appointments. We did not get a welcoming friendly vibe. Lack of interests in the customer needs. No thank you! I will take my time and money to another spa. In response to Amber- you are correct. We did receive a tour of your spa which was much appreciated and also expected. Your spa men's locker room also lacked correctly sized spa slides. All were size extra small. But after a very brief short tour there was no one left in sight to assist. "The butler" who didn't realize her title as butler when we asked. We were not sure who to address concerns and questions to." We couldn't find you Amber to address our concerns regarding the very warm temp of the waiting area, get a WiFi password, and recieve proper products for our visit. While you may claim you are an "intimate" boutique spa. Your service did not provide any level of intimate personal experience. Your employees should have the answers to basic questions/ needs of a spa. Lotion is a basic essential.

My masseuse was very good, but she had what I felt like was a lot of criticism about my posture, my breathing, and more. She paused too much during the actual massage with hot towels. Seemed like way too long I waited for actual hands on massage. She never offered water. She appeared with a clipboard at the end and I didn't even have my glasses to see what I was signing. She was gone like the wind once I paid. I love massages. I get them all the time. She knew what she was doing. She gave a great massage, but it came with some deficiency in bedside manner.

Paradise-like setting Friendliest staff…read moreUnique accommodations I've been staying in hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, tents and other traditional lodging for much of my traveling life. This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it.
