I had Brooks Plumbing and Heating come to my home after another company caused a major plumbing issue, and I cannot say enough good things about Adam. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during an extremely stressful situation. Adam arrived on Friday within hours of the previous plumber leaving my home in worse condition than before. He immediately understood the scope of the job and how messy it could become. He explained that he could do the work right then, but it would be better to clear the area and have him return the next day so the job could be done properly. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to rush through another appointment. We prepped the area that evening, and he came back the following day as promised. He worked carefully and systematically to avoid making a mess, resolved the clog, and recommended a product to help break down the sludge in our old pipes. I purchased it and followed his instructions to run plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, when I did that, water began dripping from my kitchen ceiling. It turned out the first plumber had damaged the drain pipe with their snake, creating an even bigger problem. I broke open part of the ceiling and contacted my insurance company, who reached out to Adam again. He called me within minutes to assess the situation and scheduled a return visit for Monday morning. Even though he does not work on Sundays, he still communicated with me that day as I opened more of the ceiling to locate the leak. Adam arrived first thing Monday morning with another plumber, Steve. They cut out the damaged section of pipe and repaired the leak quickly and professionally. I am incredibly grateful for how responsive, thorough, and considerate Adam was throughout this entire ordeal. He truly made a very stressful situation more manageable. Adam and Steven came out in early April 2026 to fix a large pipe that had burst in my basement next to the furnace. The pipe leaked every time I washed the dishes. It was the main pipe that led to the street. Two other "professional" plumbers came out who I shall not name. The first one from Edison came out and stated that he did not have the proper equipment to fix the pipe. I could tell immediately that he did not want to do the job anyway. The second plumber from Hackensack sent someone to look at what needed to be done. He seemed promising, but that eventually led nowhere. I was promised a call back by him the following week. I never received a call back and when I did call the company and leave messages, those messages were never returned. I'm not begging anyone to do anything for me when there are many other qualified plumbers. I was truly disgusted with both of these "supposed to be professional" plumbing companies. Adam was contacted and responded immediately. He came to my house with Steven on a Saturday to look over everything and then came back on Monday to complete the job. It took a few hours to complete such a heavy job and the cleanup provided was spectacular. Both Adam and Steven were very professional and personable. We even had quite a few good laughs. If I ever have any plumbing problems again, Brooks Plumbing and Heating (Bloomfield, NJ) will be the first team called. I just referred them to a friend of mine a few minutes ago. Don't let them in your house!! They got sent by my warranty company to fix a leaking water main. You could tell he was Very confused when looking at a simple pinhole leak. When trying to remove insulation they actually cut/damaged my pipe and then instead of taking accountability they told the warranty company that someone had vandalized my plumbing inside my basement!!!! Very rude and there is no way this person was a licensed plumber. Clueless. After they left I called a local plumber that fixed in 30 minutes. read more

Adam is very professional in his field of expertise, Plumbing and HVAC. Adam and Bobby completed two jobs for me, replace and install my water heater, and repair service line. Both jobs were done perfectly. We scheduled for another date to repair the leak from the service line, where it entered the house. Fittings and workmanship were done perfectly. Brooks Plumbing or 'Adam' is calm, cool and collected. He's got a lot of friends. It's important to say that because when he doesn't know something, he's on the phone calling everyone he knows to figure it out. He's constantly researching things and improving his skill set. How do I know this? Adam's been our savior at my business for 3 years (A 50,000 sq foot television facility) where if it's not fixed now, we're in trouble with production costs and liabilities. I like to say he's more than a plumber because he was the general contractor at my house. He has a team of guys that he carefully selects and they do a wonderful job. He has every toy there is, including a giant dump truck and monster back hoe, so he's literally moved tons and tons of earth and cracked through solid mountain stone to build us a dry well for a spring that was bubbling under my house. He's like your personal Army Corps of Engineers. This is maximum plumber. As for the pricing comments in the reviews, it's fair to say that he's a ;whatever it takes to get it right' plumber, so he's not keen on giving estimates because he's not entirely sure what it will take at first glance. Some jobs that look simple turn out to be really complicated. Also, some people just aren't aware of the market prices for plumbers, good ones anyway, in the Newark Metropolitan Area. My business managers have reviewed his average pricing compared with other metropolitan plumbers and he comes in at about 78% in the range of pricing for certain typical jobs. But whatever he works on never breaks again, he guarantees his work, he manages the inspection process for you... he's worth it. read more

I had a serious leak in my ceiling due to a cracked toilet in the floor above. I called Adam and he came in within15 minutes, closed the valve, replaced the toilet and after a couple of days wait for the water damage to dry up, he and Victor replaced the damaged rock sheet in my ceiling, caulked and fixed the ceiling. Adam called every day to check how it was going until he fixed the damage. He even followed up after the work was done and patiently explained what he was doing. Can't say enough about Adam! The request we had for him was to move all our water, sewage, gas & vent lines up to the first floor from the basement for our laundry room. We didn't realize we also needed his help to remove our old kitchen faucet & install the new one (and the dishwasher!) Eventually Lowes messed up & we needed him to also install our new washer & dryer with special long hoses. Adam never said no to any of our requests. He took time to help us out & show us everything we needed to know about our plumbing. He also was really helpful in giving us tips as we are first time homeowners.
