Instead of helping, the woman on the phone told me they wouldn't be able to assist because I'm a renter and because my building has maintenance/property management. She even incorrectly told me "that's what your lease says," which was not true. My property manager had already told me I could handle the repair and deduct the cost from rent. What frustrates me most is what happened next: I called Dr. Drip Plumbing & Heating, and the VERY FIRST thing they did was calmly explain how to shut off the water to stop the leak immediately. Roto-Rooter never once mentioned this -- despite knowing I had no idea what I was doing and that water was actively leaking. That basic advice could have saved me a lot of stress in the moment. It really felt like Roto-Rooter only cared whether they were getting paid, not whether a stressed customer actually needed help. Meanwhile, Dr. Drip Plumbing & Heating immediately treated me like a human being and helped me solve the immediate problem before anything else. We recently bought a new townhome and scheduled a set of plumbing touch-ups before moving in -- and we're doing all of this while preparing to move with a 5-month-old baby. Instead of getting help, they wasted days of my time and left us worse off than when we started. They sent three different people, and each time I had to repeat the same scope all over again. First person: I drove ~30 minutes to meet and explain everything. I was told it's a "one-day job," they'd send a technician, provide a quote, and get it done. Second person: shows up and again takes hours just to hear the same list, then says sump pump replacement isn't his area and someone else will need to come -- even though I mentioned the sump pump from day one. Why send someone who can't handle what was clearly stated upfront? Then the third technician came and took three days, and somehow managed to make previously functional bathrooms unusable. He recommended replacing the pipe to the toilet tank, we approved it, and then he told me the new valve is leaking and that now a "soldering expert" is needed. After that, communication basically stopped. I even got a response implying he's "trying" to arrange someone but management isn't listening. That's not my problem -- I hired your company to fix plumbing, not to watch you internally argue while my home becomes unlivable. On top of that, I asked him to replace the bathtub faucet because it was old. He installed one that doesn't even have a working shower diverter / pull feature to switch water to the shower. It's shocking. We are moving this coming weekend and we may be moving into a home without working toilets and without a functioning shower because of their work and lack of follow-through. I will be uploading pictures/screenshots of my text conversations with them shortly. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and money -- I strongly do not recommend.

They called 20 minutes before they arrived Promptly within the planned time. They diagnosed a PVC pipe that came unsealed from the trash disposal, this loose connection was causing the leak. He repaired it and then called Sal to assess a revised fee. They charged me $225 which considering their professionalism was fair and reasonable. I would most definitely use them again and I would recommend their services to anyone in need of plumbing in this area. As someone who has used professional services in multiple states for construction I found this company to be a straight shooter. If you're looking for a bargain you're barking up the wrong tree here.
