Out of all the local Brookshire's this one is the cleanest, well stocked one of all of them and it is a pleasure to shop there.

I love the renovations they have made to this place especially the Deli counter! I love the fact I can get fresh cut smoked turkey and Black Forest ham with some sliced smoked Gouda and Muenster. They are also putting out more different types of bread. Plus the staff is very friendly here also. read more

I just had the nicest experience here! I came here with my baby and it was my first time. Some prices were high but the entire store was spotless and had neat items like the largest grapefruit I've ever seen! The bar and sushi were cool bonuses. Jessica, the cashier, was very helpful and friendly. She helped me sign up for a card and told me the benefits. Then the grocer, unfortunately I didn't catch his name, helped me to my car and loaded it for me! Truly the best experience I've had grocery shopping with a baby. I filled up with gas afterwards at 2.56/gallon when everyone else was around 2.79- 2.89. I will happily come here again! read more

I come here all the time out of convenience as it is basically my neighborhood store. Unfortunately I am a person who always throws away receipts. My newborn was picky with baby formula which led me to purchasing 2 different types. He like the first one so I went to return the second one. I go to customer service so they can look up the purchase on my card which has never been a problem especially with just returning one can of formula. The employee states that I can not be refunded on formula without a receipt and didn't bother looking up the purchase on my credit card. He said it's something that's regulated by the state. Reviewing Brookshires website and the return policy. The only items listed that are not honored are money orders or gift cards. Now I'm stuck with a new can of formula that my baby may or may not like. Reviewing other companies policies ie Target they accept formula returns even if open if it was a recent purchase. I would not shop here for formula if you have a picky baby. read more

We really like Brookshire's as a friendly, clean place to shop. So much so that we drive from Benbrook to shop there. We prefer to use self checkout so that our groceries are packed the way we like. Unfortunately, this store has the worst self checkout system I've ever seen. They need to turn off the sensors that monitor the bagging area like every other chain I know of has done. As it is, there are constant prompts to place the item in the bagging area, remove the item from the bagging area, return the item to the bagging area, as well as spontaneous errors about item weight, even when the item doesn't require weighing. Many of these stop the process and require a store login to continue. I lost count of the times we had to wait for the system to resume today. We will not be shopping at this store until the system is functional. read more

Since HEB came to town, Brookshire's has been stepping up their game. Premium meat and dairy, and now you can even buy dry-aged beef. The quality of the produce is getting better, too. The store is about 5 times smaller than the HEB down the road, so they can't match the sheer variety HEB offers, but quality-wise, they're doing quite well. Bakery - HEB wins hands-down. Produce - HEB for sheer variety, quality is even. Meat - HEB for variety, Brookshire's for quality (dry aged beef) Deli - HEB for variety, quality is even Dairy - Brookshire's for quality - selection is even Price - While I haven't checked prices on specific things, HEB seems to be slightly more expensive overall. Crowding - Brookshire's wins hands-down. HEB is ALWAYS packed. I will almost always choose to go to Brookshire's to avoid the crowds unless there's something specific I need that they don't carry. Drove out from eastern Aledo just to pick up a few items which I could have purchased 5 other places on the way home. Walked up to the self checkout and a friggin loaf of bread causes me to have to wait for an attendant and wait and wait....it's late thursday eve and I'm waiting at a self checkout. If I wanted an 'attendant' to help me I would have 'attended' a different lane. Just wish it wasn't the second time in a row and I even just had my scripts transferred there.
