My World Market experiences aren't what they used to be. Maybe just because things are getting more and more expensive? I don't know, but browsing and finding affordable treasures has been harder for me here! And they don't have the hard cider variety that they used to. But overall it's still a store I enjoy visiting with pretty things to look at and great holiday goodies. I'm a member so I enter my phone number for a store discount, but they also offer all kinds of coupons and things through their app. When there is a line combined with coupon user combined with technology, you could be waiting awhile! read more

I love exploring world market for new exciting international products. The staff is friendly and I never leave empty handed. I've been a member since 2012 and I hate that everytime I visit I don't get a % off until my next purchase. I didn't receive anything off on my birthday which was the same day I made my purchase. I only visit once or twice a year. For every $100 spent you receive a $5 coupon. The offer is only good for 2 months. Most places keep pts on your account for 6mths to a year. I would be more active throughout the year if I received offers for the items I purchase. Plus, they don't honor the birthday reward. I am glad I found universal yums. World Market is such a fun place to browse. I love coming in here because the employees are lovely and there is always something fun and new to discover. I particularly love visiting this location during the holidays. They have a wide variety of ornaments, advent calendars, and other festive goodies. It can get very busy, but the employees are friendly and work efficiently to get you in and out. The store itself is very tidy and the bathrooms are usually clean and well-stocked. I love the home goods and furniture here, although it can be expensive. The international snacks are so fun to shop and I always find something new to try. I love grabbing some different snacks, nice teas, or fancy sea salt and olive oil to give as gifts throughout the year. read more

Literally one of my favorite stores in the whole wide world. Normally the staff will walk by me and not even speak but yesterday I had an associate ask me how I was doing and it actually felt genuine. I visit this location often despite the lack of customer service on the floor. first time going here after hearing form others that they carry some items you don't see in other grocery stores. Well, it's not really a grocery store but they do carry some specialty canned, bottled, and packaged foods. Wife loves gummy bears and we found a section ripe with all different types and flavors. They had a lot of products with original country writing on the packaging. It was pretty cool. Of course they carry furniture, household goods, and other home accessories. The food wasn't to badly priced, the rest of the store was a bit expensive in my opinion. Walking in it reminds me a lot of the old Pier 1 Imports stores with all that they sale. Really cool store, has some nice stuff, just a bit pricey. read more

I went for Jerk seasoning and left with: Ginger Snap, coffee mugs (2), coffee, chopsticks and a random pack of gum... My shopping experience this day went a bit like... start by the art then make way to the body/spa area, squeeze a few pillows and sit in the best suede bedroom/office chairs. After that explore the world of food and wine - onto the kitchen area and maybe back up the middle where I usually forget to look once I'm in line. All-in all this store is my happy place. read more

So I'm plagued with emails and discount offers from WM. I decided to take advantage of a 25% off coupon they sent. The coupon itself was very clear and didn't have any disclaimers but in microscopic print underneath the bar code it said "Does not apply to food". My cart was full of treats for Christmas stockings as of course I missed the microscopic disclaimer. I wasted a good hour of my time in World Market and I left my full cart and won't be shopping there again. read more

I love World Market. I've loved shopping at this location for the last 12 years after moving here from Houston. The store in Houston was so great, I was thrilled to find this location in Fort Worth and have been coming here to buy...well, a little bit of everything. Gifts, accessories, housewares, food, wine, I've never walked out of WM without buying something. I especially love their accessories. Found a gorgeous hair pin today. I love it. Which is why it pains me to say that the staff here have caused me to not want to come into the store. Over the last 12 years, I've spent money there, been as nice to everyone as I can be, I even make sure I'm dressed nicely when I come in there. Which is why I'm upset and confused over the multiple incidents of profiling I've experienced here. I find this weird and oddly ironic that in a store that sells a bunch of international themed goods that the staff would be so mean toward a customer who is east Asian. I've done everything I could possibly do to be a polite customer. I treat everyone with respect. I don't file complaints. I don't go into the store looking or acting like a slob. I pay for the items I want and leave. I don't know what I do that's wrong. On more than one occasion, I've had an employee follow me through the store. I once had an employee approach me, she didn't ask if I needed help, just stared at my basket and just started commenting on what I had in it. Well, I finally had the last straw yesterday. I came in with my husband and was browsing the food section. An employee had come over near where I was browsing, pretending to clean and organize the shelves but she wasn't really doing anything other than moving items around. I moved to several different areas of the food section and this woman followed me to each spot. In addition, none of the employees were wearing masks. I won't be coming back to this store for a while, which makes me really sad since the next closest location is 45 min. away. read more

The only Cost Plus store worth going to. I think most people are familiar with World Markets. I remember going to this location first, and others started springing up everywhere. The one on Denton Highway is larger and less crowded; the one in Arlington is my personal favorite. They're making their way into neighborhoods, bringing a more "worldly" selection of goods than your other dried food + furniture stores (they got the whole market cornered- watch it Big Lots!). Sign up for their online specials! Get coupons. Justify instant Italian gnocchi, German coffee, Indian Tikka sauce. Chocolate bars with every additive imaginable- hazelnuts, chili peppers, bacon. The food's kept all the way in the back (standard arrangement in World Markets), so you'll have to walk through half a store of additional merchandise. My boyfriend's been eying a papasan chair and matching stool; I've been coveting a nice bookshelf. There's some items being marketed as artisan: jewelry, recycled mirrors and the like. Manufactured goods abound as well-- they have every kind of set up for any kind of party you could hope to throw. Cold Ramune's in the cooler by the register. Lots of part-timers working there who are super nice, however not knowledgeable, and not very helpful. And three times in a row, things that are marked on sale on shuffle labeling, aren't on sale anymore! You have to be careful to read the Small print; A lot of the offers have an expiration date but they neglect to take down the signs. So no matter how good products are and how fun I find the store, I've had back to back shopping experiences that make me dread going in anymore. It's pretty hard to argue with the greatness of this chain. Clean, full of imported furniture and decor, clothing, accessories, exotic beer and wine, and international snacks, World Markets offers more than is possible to take in in a single visit. Competitive prices makes it a dream shopping experience for specialty items. World Markets has something interesting to look at in every section. It's easy to find myself browsing, which for me is saying something. Shopping? I typically want it to be over as soon as possible. But, dude. I can get lost in here. By far, my favorite section is the racks of craft beers in the back. Every time I visit the store I pour over it, mostly looking up stouts on BeerAdvocate.com. Prior to writing this review, I visited this location for beer to enjoy during Superbowl LI. JD, the beer guy asked if we needed any help and my +1 and I spent 15 minutes picking his brain about the various offerings. His expertise and passion were effervescent and I learned quite a bit. World Markets has a "Texas Only" craft beer area which we explored heavily. My final selection was my current favorite Bourbon Barrel Stout "Dragon's Milk" by New Holland. My sour-loving +1 opted for Love Child #7 by Boulevard Brewing. These are high-end beers which I would not normally have sprung for, but World Markets had 30% off all beer and wine. If they'd had any Rahr & Sons Winter Warmer left on the shelf I would have stocked up! JD also recommended a Texas IPA for me to try as I have been unable to develop a taste for hoppier faire. The name slips my mind, but it was citrusy and fresh and still more bitter than my palette enjoys. If you have beer questions, JD is your man! Couldn't come up with another item (despite trying every possible avenue) and took my item back without receipt and item was unwrapped ...retail nightmare and not likely a good outcome for me...but... I used to shop here apparently eons ago, because now they have a "members" price for the wine. I bought 3 bottles and just saw the big price listed, ignoring the smaller "original" price because I just assumed these were their "sale" prices. Got to the register and got rung up for way too much money. Figured it out with the sales guy after going to re-check the prices, and was told that the "membership" doesn't cost anything, I just have to give my contact info. So for the price of my contact info, the $12.99 wine is now $6.99. It was all just an enormous pain in the ass--had to get refunded and the re-rung--why the hell would you pay the exorbitant "original" fee or more to the point, why wouldn't the cashier explain this? I realize all the grocery stores basically do this (and look, this is not a grocery store or even close) to some extent, but the price differences here if you don't are insane. It's basically a way to force you to give them your contact info, which doesn't really sit very well with me. I don't know why, but World Market always just makes me feel carefree when I go in and look around. I love wine, and they always have great deals on unique bottles. Add in international products that are hard to find without locating a specialty store, their WM product labels, cool kitchen stuff, and home goods for every taste, and its really hard for me to leave without finding something that I convince myself that I need. Anyway, I actually had a plan for this trip: floor lamp. I had gotten the most recent mailer about mix and match lamps and lamp shades, saw some things I liked, and most importantly, had a need for. Didn't hurt that the mailer had a $10 off coupon, too. Went by the store and found the combination that I was into, and at checkout, realized I had forgotten to print the $10 Birthday coupon that WM sent to me as a member of their World Market Explorer program. I asked our cashier, Michelle, if there was anyway that the system would be able to recognize or pull up my coupon and unfortunately there wasn't. HOWEVER! She recommended pulling the email up on my smart phone because she could actually scan the barcode from it. HOW COOL! I mean, technology is getting pretty awesome, but moreso, I rarely think of anything like that. Her help gave me new insight, but also saved me $10, both of which I am grateful for, so thank you to Michelle, again! Admittedly, we were a little difficult because we were hoping to split payment on the lamp and few other things wee bought, and she was overly able to help us out with that, too. Thankfully there was no one else in line behind us, and Michelle's patience was overly appreciated. We come by this store at the absolute least every other week, but short of going to Grapevine to buy up the last bit of the 2006 Cocobon 75 (Don't go buy it or I will hunt you down!), we will continue to frequent this location for its quality, values, and employees like Michelle! read more

Kim and Grayson at World Market in Fort Worth made shopping a wonderful experience for me today. I went to the store hoping to find a pair of discontinued chairs. They spent about half an hour calling all over the area to find them for me. The end result: I will have the chairs in my home tomorrow. Fun Shopping; Best Rewards Program The staff are welcoming and provide a pleasant atmosphere. The store continually updates it's merchandise, but there are things that I can reliably find there. Their coffee is really good, and I love getting rewarded for buying coffee. Their rewards program is, hands down, the very best of any I have signed up for. This World Market is the best in the area for service. I always have a good service experience here. Once I was missing a part to a cabinet and they had it rushed over from another store the next day. Another time, there was only one woman working who could help me load an extremely heavy dresser, and she did it with a smile. Two girls at the Arlington store once complained that they would throw their backs out and told me they didn't work stock. That would never happen at the Fort Worth store. read more
