Not really a destination, but more of an after school quick play time place. My 9-year-old was bored after 10 minutes, but my 7-year-old and toddler definitely enjoyed it more so. No one else was there and I wasn't even sure exactly where to park (nearly got stuck in the gravel trying to back out). There are a couple of basketball hoops, which may entertain older kids a bit longer. There is a bench to sit on and a trash can. No restroom facilities, so go before you come! Happy yelping!

It is definitely an advantage to have the playground shaded by large trees. Just be aware that the trees do shed their large roller seeds that young toddlers can easily slip on. Still, I'd rather take shade over blatant sun exposure and a playground that turns into a furnace. The playground could use a bit of an upgrade and a new mulching job, but my boys love playing here. Included are a few slides and swings within a curbed area. Surrounding the playground are soccer fields and walking trails (my boys also use it to ride their bicycles). One loops all the way to the east past residences. If you're fortunate you may hear some of the wild turkeys gobble in the woods; too bad their territory is shrinking. Happy yelping!

The Honor Tower Observatory deck is unfortunately closed temporarily due to elevator maintenance;it was supposed to open back up at 1 afternoon. From what I know they just opened it up for the public since late last winter. It is made to honor the first responders and initially they were the only ones who can have access to the inside of the tower. Next time am around in SC I will be stopping by. There is no fee for entrance. There is a 30 minute time limit per visit.
