Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Norton has been very disappointing, and I reached the point…read morewhere I had to find another dentist. During appointments, Dr. Norton often comes into the room, spends very little time actually examining me, and leaves without adequately answering my questions or addressing my concerns. When questions are answered, I often feel as though I am bothering her or that my concerns are not being taken seriously. The appointments seem increasingly focused on getting patients in and out rather than providing thorough, attentive care. My biggest concern was a tooth that caused me persistent pain for approximately a year and a half. I mentioned the same tooth and the same pain at three consecutive six-month checkups. Each time, I was given a different explanation or recommendation. At the first visit, I was told that I needed to use a softer toothbrush. Six months later, I was told that the top of the tooth should be filed down. At the third visit, I was finally told that the tooth needed a root canal. Since Dr. Norton does not perform root canals, I was referred elsewhere. Because my insurance only covers two checkups per year, this also meant paying out of pocket for an additional visit. Eventually, after a year and a half, the tooth was properly treated--and thankfully, the pain that I had been dealing with for all that time finally stopped. Routine checkups are supposed to be about identifying and addressing problems before they become more serious. In my experience, these visits have increasingly felt more like brief appointments focused on processing patients than thorough examinations and preventive care. Looking through the older reviews, it is clear that this practice was once highly regarded. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have not reflected those reviews. I am disappointed that I now have to find another dentist, but I feel it is necessary to find a provider who will take the time to listen to my concerns and properly evaluate them.

Then they acted like we should have known that anthem no longer covered this. I read an article that greatly shroud whether panoramic x rays should be done in addition to serial x rays. The article I read says panoramic images are prone to distortion and artifacts. It also stated that the amount of pathology discovered with panoramic vs serial xrays was negligible. The front office people were definitely not nice. Be sure when you book that you are clear what you want and ask them to let you know if they will be upcharging.

I am newly married, and my husband recommended Libbey Family Dentistry. First visit was xrays- great experience and no pain or anxiety. Second visit was a cleaning and removal of a broken crown. My anxiety was off the charts as I entered the door...the girl who cleaned my teeth was so sweet and gentle, that I barely felt anything except her kind words...but the thought of the crown removal drove me into a panic attack and I could not allow Dr. Libbey to proceed...she sooo very kindly said it was OK and I could return next time and try again. Third visit was my second attempt at the crown and she allowed me to take my prescription of xanax before we began. It was awesome-no pain...no anxiety. She was always so kind and concerned about me each visit. Today was my final visit for the crown- I no longer needed medication, because I was anxiety free for the FIRST time visiting a dentist EVER! I had such confidence in the fact that she would not hurt me, and she didn't! I even had some old fillings replaced with no pain or stress. This is a miracle for me. Dr Trickers knowledge and experience was beyond exceptional! I needed a tooth pulled and decided on an implant being a tooth I needed to eat with. Dr. Tricker explained everything in detail. The next day after my consult I had the surgery with sedation. The nerves were high on my part but I was put to ease by Melissa and Dr Tricker. I was there over an hour but it felt like 15 minutes! No pain or swelling or bruising afterwards. One week post op for a followup and then monthly for three months to make sure the implant is healing and healthy before I see my regular dentist for the crown.
