I have been a patient here for years, since my children were born, and the care used to be outstanding. Unfortunately, since Dr. Hill took over and many of the longtime doctors left, the quality of care has noticeably declined. My experiences with the staff and providers have often felt dismissive and uncaring. Rather than feeling listened to and supported, I have frequently felt brushed off and judged. At times, I have overheard conversations and witnessed interactions that made me uncomfortable and gave me the impression that patients' personal situations were being discussed in an unprofessional manner. I have also been frustrated by unexpected charges and bills that were not clearly explained beforehand. Better communication regarding costs and billing would go a long way toward building trust with patients. I have been dealing with an ongoing health issue that has caused significant anxiety, and when I sought help, Dr. Hill made me feel as though I was wrong for coming in and expressing my concerns. Instead of feeling supported, I left feeling discouraged and unheard. What was once a welcoming and compassionate practice no longer feels that way. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for, especially when dealing with ongoing health concerns. I am very disappointed with the direction this office has taken and can no longer recommend this practice based on my recent experiences. read more

I use Broomfield Family Practice for my yearly well health checks. The staff is knowledgeable and excellent at their jobs. I am a Senior women and my Medicare insurance covered my yearly physical, blood work and X-rays that were prescribed by my physician for years. Darcy Connelly was my PA and took time with me and answered all my questions. My Medicare insurance no longer allows me to go to this practice. So I am out search for the same high level of care I received at Broomfield Family Practice. I recommend this practice for Senior women. read more

However, I decided to go back to Darcy, along with my entire family, because of the wonderful care she provides. She not only takes good care of treating her patients but she is: 1. If I could give negative stars, I would. I went to this office for primary care. Dr. Levine put me on low dose estradiol & ordered mammograms every 6 months. Once I started the HRT, it was crickets. No request for new blood tests, no follow up on mammograms. I've since moved on to a provider that gives COMPLETE CARE with follow up labs & accurate hormones. This place is a JOKE! This is the absolute worst patient care I've ever received. Do NOT recommend & I'm actually filing a complaint with the state. read more

New patient consideration: if you are looking for a place that prioritizes process over patients then this place might be a good fit for you. If ensuring the doctor and practice is the customer and the patient is the vendor, then this might be a good fit for you. If you want feedback on experience to be overshadowed by "you signed policies that speak to this" vs an attentive ear and a posture of we value feedback to see where we can enhance the patient experience" then this might be a good fit for you. If you want a front office experience that prioritizes their policies and comfort over patient care....you got it...this might be a good fit for you. Black and white thinking and lack of flexibility is the mindset for patients and supersedes relationships and patient care. Policies are written to hold patients accountable but there is nothing in place to ensure accountability goes both ways. The patient care experience is directly tied to your doctor. Accountability to the practice is non existent. The vibe of this practice sync up really well with the entitled culture we live in. Our family has been using Broomfield Family Practice since 1986. We have always received excellent care and services from them. I primarily see Darcy Connelly. She is thorough, informed, smart, and always ready to think outside the box when it comes to my medical needs. We moved to the south part of the metro area two years and I still return to see Darcy Connelly. Our daughter grew up with Dr. Amy as her primary care pediatrician. She is/was a great doctor for children. My husband used Rich Hazen for many years until he retired. He always regarded PA Hazen as a great medical provider. read more

I came here when I first moved to Colorado and saw Julia Essig. She was AMAZING!!! If my rating was soley based on her it would be a 5 star review. I saw Darcy Connelly as a "replacement" once Dr Essig retired and they were night and day. I wasn't a fan of her bedside manner. As a result, I am an established patient elsewhere. read more

Refuse to Render Aid. A very painful sinus infection lasting three days I made the decision to visit the so called medical clinic. They told me to wait outside in the freezing cold for over a half an hour. What the average patient expects is not to get sicker in the freezing cold. I was faced with hostility and no compassion whatsoever. I only asked for some antibiotics and was refused. I was told to leave yelling at me and talking down to me. These so called doctors have very little experience with no compassion of people in pain. I will be seeking another provider today that does not send people out in the cold for over a half an hour. For all the people that gave Broomfield Family Practice bad review, all I can say is that many times patients may need to be seen more than once a year. No matter what medicine you are on something in your body could change and they are making sure the medication is doing what it needs to do. In my opinion that is "caring" for the patient! I have been seeing Darcy for many, many years and I love her! I sometimes wish she wasn't so good, so I could actually get an appointment with her, but that just shows how great she is. I don't normally like to see anyone but Darcy, but I will say Collin has also been wonderful. Front staff and all people in the lab have been nothing but friendly and helpful. I have NEVER been treated so rudely and disrespectfully in my life as I just was by the front office staff and the woman Kayluh up front. My experience with the doctors there has been good, but the front staff needs a certification in what it means to deliver good customer service experience, or even OK customer service, because my experience with them was just horrible and I will be making sure the office managers knows how rude the office staff treats the patients. You can see from the other reviews that they are condescending and rude to almost every reviewer on here. We are in a pandemic and everyone is on edge and stressed, but the way I was just talked to by the front desk is unacceptable. I am a first responder for the recent fires and they will not even let me talk to my PCP or pass an urgent message on. I will be changing PCPs immediately. read more

We love our doctor here (Levine). Can usually get in to be seen same day if you are ok seeing another Dr or a PA. They are also open Saturday mornings which is nice. However, we frequently have to wait past our appointment time to be seen and it can be hard to get a same day appointment with the doc you want. read more

Love these folks! Why? They haven't taken the "care" out of healthcare. They return my calls in a timely manner to answer questions. They are accommodating for appointment scheduling. They offer referrals I trust. They offer suggestions that make more sense, such as giving blood to learn your blood type for free instead of paying for a test. They are polite and helpful on the phone. They are reasonable--when I arrived without a mask they sold me one for $1.00 instead of making me feel like a criminal (the mask mandate had been lifted in Broomfield County at the time.) They are professional and caring--even when I do wait in the waiting room, it is for a reasonable period of time. They always acknowledge those waiting and give us a status update in a caring and friendly manner. read more

She truly cares and makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world. (& you are) I have moved several times but never changed doctors. I have been going here for 20 + years. My PA Rich has retired and I have a new one. They see me on Saturdays if I need medical help. They do my yearly physical. I wish that had more male physicians, but A male PA is all I need for a General Practitioner visit. They also do onsite bloodwork, which is nice. read more

One of the most uncaring, unprofessional doctors offices, I have ever seen! Never called back for my Covid test results. Never called back after I called twice for a message to the doctor, on my illness visit. You will not be treated with care, compassion or professionalism, at this horrible doctors office. I should have left when the person in the hazmat suite, placed me in an office, used for storage. I fired them and have informed my insurance that they did NOT complete my office visit. I'm in agreement with other Yelpers who've rated Broomfield Family Practice highly... I would have given the practice 5 stars but didn't as I was hoping to see more functional medicine integrated into the practice. On the other hand, Functional Medicine is very cutting edge and more difficult to find in a busy practice that also accepts private insurance, so that's that (for now!). My experience with the front office staff was awesome... Literally very pleasant. They're on their game, happy that you're there and very accommodating... This may irritate some folks and I'll say it as gently and with all respect... We get what we give. Aside from even that natural law, I witnessed the front office staff sharing courtesy with patients coming in and out as I waited. And, regarding waiting? I didn't wait more than 10 total minutes. That's BIG. Even if I had, the lobby was spacious, uncluttered and had comfortable seating areas available. Oh, and free wifi. My actual visit / interaction with both the nurse and PA? Stellar. Meaning... I had a conversation with people who were interested in my health. They weren't rushed, maintained good eye contact, had open body language and expressed empathy. Yes, that's the therapist in me, for sure, but hey... It's critical. So, for me, I've just found my new healthcare provider. Everything was really nice. I almost forgot I was at the MD's office. If there was 0 stars, I would give this practice a zero. On my first visit I privately asked the medical assistant if I could not be weighed due to a ED past. I was told I would 'forced' to be weighed, to the extent the PA would 'walk me out' to get this done. When I refused, the medical assistant caused a scene in front of other providers. After processing with other ED providers, I called to provide feedback about my experience. When I mentioned Trauma Informed Care , the PA said, "This is family practice, not a trauma center." I was ABSOLTELY floored. They do not 'see' or 'hear' patients, nor do they follow best practices. Every provider I had before this was very respectful and we sat down and had a conversation about my history. At Planned Parenthood, they actually THANKED me for my transparency. I'm rather shocked to see the score Broomfield Family Practice has on Yelp. I've been a patient since 2019 and have always been treated well. The front office staff are pleasant. The nurses are kind and considerate of your health. As a mom with an infant, I was so pleased to see they were wearing masks in the hallways when transferring patients. I was most recently seen by Cathlin Jones, P.A. due to a symptom that needed investigating. She was patient with me in my chattiness and asked seemingly all the right questions. When she didn't know for sure a question I had (as it wasn't her specialty), she reached out to a colleague on my behalf. She is the type of provider who advocates for her patients. I have been coming here for at least seven years. I stuck with them even after my wife jumped ship over the horrendous front desk service. No more! I won't name names but my trusted Nurse Practitioner told me a few months ago that I needed to start tapering off of a med that I had been on for almost two decades if I wanted to avoid some nasty side effects that had started cropping up. She said if I didn't it could be a lifelong thing. I found a counselor on my own after the fact and come to find out, Broomfield Family Practice has two counselors on staff that were NOT mentioned to me by my Nurse Practitioner at the time of my office visit. My counselor also mentioned that there should have been a follow up by Broomfield Family Practice after going off of the meds to check on me and there wasn't. Darcy has treated and cared for my daughter for many years. She is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. HOWEVER, the care from Dr Hill is atrocious! She's obviously in the wrong profession. Maybe I expect too much in that I feel a doctor ought to be caring, kind, and have a goal of helping an individual reach an improved condition rather than suggesting their pain is nothing to be concerned about - take your things and go!! Darcy Connelly, PA has made the effort to help me more than any other doctor on this staff. She has a large patient load, but is still keeps herself informed on your case. For example, I kept complaining of tiredness to my doctor here, and all she did was keep upping my thyroid medicine. Darcy looked and my bloodwork and said "you need to go to the pharmacy immediately. Your vitamin D level is dangerously low." I mean, holy smokes. This had been going on for years. She has uncovered multiple other problems, they did not take the time to correlate. They have a patient portal, people. They tell you about it and there is your information. Use it. If you need personally chatted up, then find yourself a best friend or call your mom, for pete's sake. read more

I have never in my life had to deal with such incompetent doctors and such a an utterly useless and disrespectful staff. Before I went to this office, I had two separate doctors for two different issues, and both of them were able to get me my medicine when I needed it, on time, even when I was out of town. The doctors at Broomfield Family Practice are incapable of doing the simplest prescription refill. I have been barred from my medicine several times on the basis that I needed to "be seen in person," but I was able to turn around to other doctors who could fill these prescriptions with no problem. My pharmacy has tried calling them again, and again, and again, and again, and again, with no response whatsoever. I have a mild disability so my partner helped me call the office the other day, and the front desk lady was confused and rude about why I might need support in calling the office. She tried to wave us away with a promise that my prescription would be filled "soon," but it was made clear that getting my prescription ASAP was both necessary and well within her abilities if she actually gave a damn. And even after that phone call where I tried to get them to transfer my medicine to the new pharmacy, they have still failed to do so. read more

I've been using BFP for a few years now as my GP. I've had a few issues. First - I have regular daily prescriptions that they will not renew unless I come into the office every 6months for a med check. It feels like I'm being blackmailed in order to get my prescriptions. There's are long term prescriptions that I should not have to do this with. Second - I went in with abdomen pain 2 years back, they took a look at me and sent me home. A few days later after being in excruciating pain for days I was taken to the ER and had my gallbladder removed just before it burst. I started going to BFP after getting a referral from a friend. I'm not sure if something has changed in the management there, but it seems like there more interested in getting regular insurance payouts then providing quality care. read more

Unhappy with the give and take at this office. Dr Rhoden's been my pcp since 2019. I leave every appointment feeling like I somehow inconvenienced the staff and doctors by showing up. I spent 45 minutes waiting in the room (not the waiting room where I'd already spent 15 minutes) in November 2022 for a 5 minute med check w Dr Rhoden. I was 10 minutes late today (6 mos later) for my next med check and was told I would need to reschedule because the policy is 7 minutes. I was late today, and that's on me, but when I asked for just a little bit of the professional courtesy that I gave doctor rhoden in November (3 minutes worth), I was told that I just needed to reschedule.
