I helped a family member move from Andover to North Andover. Brother Movers did the job on short notice. All furniture was carefully wrapped; nothing was nicked or damaged. The managed to get bookcases, a small sofa bed, and a large upholstered chair down a very narrow staircase, with literally a couple of inches of clearance. I did not use BM because their quote was not only outrageously high but also not even firm, just a huge range of what it might be even though it was a very simple job. The quote was $300-$600 and I got it done for $79 to give you an idea how crazy their prices are. Beware of being over charged. They obviously are just fishing on Yelp and haul in the few suckers they get. read more

I can't believe Jose and his company got so many 5 star reviews. We contacted him on June 21 for a move from Mass to out of state on July 6. He was prompt in calling me back (my wife had spoken to him earlier in the day but I had a couple of more questions for him). We discussed the details over the phone and we agreed on a date of Saturday July 6 at tentatively 9 am. It would be an all day move. I asked if he wanted a deposit, he said no and said he would call me the night before the move to reconfirm. I was a little uneasy with nothing set in stone so I immediately texted him the details reconfirming what we had just talked about and he responded that we were all set. Since I was selling my house and needed to be out, I sent a text to reconfirm again on Monday July 1. He again reconfirmed and said he would call me later that night, which never happened but he had confirmed via text again. The day before the move, my wife called him, he said we were all set for 9am the next day and that he would call us again that same evening when he got back to his office. At 10:15 THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MOVE HE CALLED AND SAID HE HAD NO PAPERWORK ON OUR MOVE AND HE HAD 3 OTHER JOBS SCHEDULED THAT DAY BUT THAT HE COULD PROBABLY GET TO US BY 7PM IF HE FINISHED THE OTHER 3 JOBS. HE WANTED TO START THE 10 HOUR MOVE THAT NIGHT IF AND WHEN HE FINISHED 3 OTHER MOVING JOBS DURING THE DAY. He never apologized. He said, "Well, we never did paperwork and you never really finalized anything in our conversations so I didn't write it up." I couldn't believe it. He then texted my wife at 10:45pm and said one of the other 3 jobs cancelled so he could probably get to us earlier. He just made excuses instead of owning up to what an unprofessional job he did. Moving is stressful enough....no one needs to be screwed over like this. He is going to claim I never confirmed with him. I'm attaching screenshots of the text messages showing him confirming everything.....twice. luckily I found a company last minute on Saturday morning that could do the whole thing Sunday for us. Gave a deposit, email confirmations immediately, etc. They were incredible. Save yourself a disaster and use someone besides Brothers. read more

I don't do reviews often, but I felt I owed it to Jose, Angel, and the crew since they did such a great job with our warehouse move. I work for a mid-sized medical device company, and we had to move our entire finished goods warehouse in 3 weeks. Everything had to be inventoried, tagged, and wrapped before it could move. In addition, our inventory is fragile and temperature sensitive. Not only did the Brother Movers employees follow our strict guidelines right away the first time, but we actually had to slow them down; they got so far ahead of schedule we had to take time off in order to still have product through the end of the shipping run at the old warehouse. Everyone was courteous, patient, flexible, and helpful throughout the move. To put it simply, we could not have done this move successfully without Brother Movers. I know that if they met our needs for moving our warehouse, along with all of the quirks and complications that come with it, they'll do a great job with any residential or commercial move that you may need. We'll definitely be hiring them again in the spring when we have another move we'll need to do, and I plan on hiring them personally when our family has our next move as well. read more

We called them last minute, in a somewhat desperate situation. They squeezed us in to their already tight day. They kept us informed on the specific timing during the day and then showed up exactly when expected. They worked so quickly yet really took great care with our furniture, wrapping up what was necessary, no nicks or scratches. A very professional job. We were paying by the hour but they did NOT take advantage of that, everything was completed so quickly and we ended up paying just half of what we expected. Great bunch of guys!! I had a small local move and got loading/unloading help only. I was lucky enough to have Jose (one of the owners) work with me directly along with one of his guys. They were fantastic. Quick as could be, right on time for arrival, and dead on for the estimate. Could not be more pleased, highly suggest these guys, and I will be going with them for any future moves, no question in my mind. I needed help moving things out of a storage unit in a pinch and called Brother Movers who showed up with less than two hours' notice. They were professional and FAST. I couldn't believe how quickly they unloaded an entire moving truck and carried everything down a steep flight of stairs. NO SHOW. My moving was planned to start at 9am, they call me to postpone to noon, so at noon time I call them and they told me they are delayed and are going to show up at 4pm. At 4pm I call again and them they told me they are going to show at 6pm. I was 8pm when they decided to show up and I decide to cancel their service. This man which I deal with called Jose has very lack of respect and honor with the customers. I was very prejudiced by their NO SHOW. read more
