If you know how many small, medium and large boxes (and wardrobes) your move will take, you are smarter than I am. But I prefer a quote, not an estimate. Bob Ferrick gave us a competitive quote and stuck to it! Then the actual work itself. The crews showed when they said they would, did what they said they would, and did so showing care for our belongings. We had no damage at all. Bob Ferrick is a stand-up guy who is good to his word. Maybe a competitor's "estimate' is 2% lower than Ferick's firm quote. I'll take the firm quote from an honest business every time.

Not only did I give him the $50 deposit to reserve the date and time, he asked me twice for money to help him out for "paying his employees" and other issues. This is where I should have none I was being taken advantage of when giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Morning of my scheduled move I was wary because I recieved no word from him the night before. As such, he was a no-show with no response after repeated calls and texts. I was completely inconvenienced with having to scramble and organize other means of moving, and out $150 that was stolen from me for undelivered services. Still haven't received any word. Another sign of being fishy is he kept contacting me through different phone numbers with some excuse as to why he had a new one. I will be pursuing legal action via small claims.

You think: "oh wow! 4 stars!" You get a quote from him and it's a reasonable price. He asks for a deposit. Do not fall for it. Last year, I booked him for a move, I talked to him on the phone multiple times, I paid $100 in deposits, and I even bought a storage unit to facilitate the move. The day before the move, I message to confirm. No response. I message 3 more times. Nothing. Call a few times. Nothing. I hold out hope he will still show the next morning, but of course he doesn't. I'm now scrambling for movers and companies know I'm scrambling so I end up paying double the price I expected. Plus I'm out about $250 from the deposits and storage unit. Moving sucks. It sucks real bad. Do not fall into the trap of trusting Shawn and making your day worse. Listen to the bad reviews, they are honest.
