I hired these guys because I saw their commercial and I have a lot of respect for young people that are motivated enough to start their own business. I did the same years ago so I wanted to give them my business. I hate to leave a review that's anything but good but I need to be honest and say I was not happy with the service.. They delivered a four piece sectional couch up to my second floor apartment. My friends did more of the work carrying my old couch down and the new one up & the movers mosty watched them and gave suggestions. There were supposed to be three movers but they only brought 2. When I spoke to them about this moving job the deal was they were going to take my love seat and couch out of my apartment and dispose of them. That was part of the price I was quoted. However, they left my couches outside of my apartment, put them downstairs in the walkway where I live and left them there didn't dispose of them at all. They quoted me a price before the move and when I went to pay them they told me it was going to be almost $50 more. But we straighten that out because we talked about the original quote and it did get lowered. About eight friends of mine and myself cleared out my entire living room for them to bring in this sectional. I wished I hadn't done that because that was something that was also included in the price they told me they would lower the price if I did that myself but again it didn't happen. Lastly I felt like they brought in the sectional basically just threw everything into my living room and left. My friends and I had to arrange everything, had to lift furniture that was supposed to be part of their job and I felt like they were just rushing and doing less work than they should have just to get out of here. I do know they did a moving job in the morning before my job and I understand being tired and wanting to leave. However when you start a new business you want to be a good employee and give the people that hire you good service. As much as it pains me to say this because I was in the service industry for 30 years before I started my own business I don't feel like I was given the service that I expected, that I was quoted, that I paid for and that I've received from other movers in the past. Also with me having been in the service industry for so long I even tipped them $30 extra which honestly now I wish I hadn't done that because again I hate to say it but it wasn't deserved I actually should have taken that money and tipped the friends that helped me because my friends did about 75% of the work and these two movers I'd say maybe did the other 25. I understand it's a new business and they're young and yes as businesses go along you learn things and you make changes and I hope that's what they do. Reviews are the things that are going to make you aware of the things you need to improve on. Although I didn't have much personal interaction with them they did seem to be nice guys but they have a ways to go from what I saw and I'm only saying what happened in my move . The one thing I will say is that compared to the other movers, their price was lower than the other people I called because I was only having a sofa and loveseat taken out in a sectional brought in. I was not doing a whole move. But it was not a professional experience in my opinion and the things that I was promised and the things that I paid for like removal of my couches and the apartment being cleaned out for them to just move the couch in was not taken off the bill. So I gave two stars because it wasn't a good experience for me and certainly not the one I expected. From time to time I do order pieces of furniture from different websites and I don't know if I will be using these guys again. But I wish them luck in their new business and I believe that if they improve a few things they could become some of the best movers in Boston.

They are an absolute 5 star company. The phone service by Chris was top notch, easy to book, and…read morethe way that Stephen came and quickly dealt with the things I needed gone was super impressive! It is obvious that these people are pros, but they are also kind and warm. I'm happy I went with them to get my junk!

Excellent company. Chris contacted me immediately when I…read moresent a request for info online and he explained thoroughly and clearly what services Residential Cleanouts offers. He took the time to understand what my goals were and offered several options. He took the time to really listen and I felt like he was tailoring a plan to fit my unique needs. They (Chris and Steve) kept in close contact via email throughout the planning process, responding to all my inquiries and questions. I was impressed that company policy is to send out a scout ahead of time to get an accurate and detailed first hand look at the project so as to be adequately prepared on the day of service. On the day of service, they arrived on time in very professional vehicles (trailer, pickup truck, van). The 3 young men (intelligent college students) plus the foreman of the project, were courteous, professional, & conscientious. They were respectful of the property and removed items with care, even though the items were slated for destruction/donation. They were quick, they didn't fool around or stand around smoking, they were polite and did not curse, they didn't take a break until they were almost done (I offered them lunch). They finished ahead of schedule and cleaned up any debris or trash that fell during the moving process. The entire project from start to finish went off without a hitch. The only caution I would offer is to be aware that paying with a credit card (instead of cash or check) includes a service fee, which is clearly stated on the pre-estimate contract prior to agreeing to book the service. I highly recommend Residential Cleanouts. They exceeded my expectations. I will hire them again without hesitation.
