DO NOT USE, BEWARE OF SCAM!!!! This would have been my 3rd time using Shawn for moving. I was suspicious given the recent reviews that he would be a no-show, but even after chatting with him about my concerns, he reassured and told me to "trust" him. Not only did I give him the $50 deposit to reserve the date and time, he asked me twice for money to help him out for "paying his employees" and other issues. This is where I should have none I was being taken advantage of when giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Morning of my scheduled move I was wary because I recieved no word from him the night before. As such, he was a no-show with no response after repeated calls and texts. I was completely inconvenienced with having to scramble and organize other means of moving, and out $150 that was stolen from me for undelivered services. Still haven't received any word. Another sign of being fishy is he kept contacting me through different phone numbers with some excuse as to why he had a new one. I will be pursuing legal action via small claims. read more

CAUTION: Today's date is July 17. Many of you are planning your September 1 moves. You're buying boxes and packaging materials, finding movers. You come across Shawn's company. You think: "oh wow! 4 stars!" You get a quote from him and it's a reasonable price. He asks for a deposit. Do not fall for it. Last year, I booked him for a move, I talked to him on the phone multiple times, I paid $100 in deposits, and I even bought a storage unit to facilitate the move. The day before the move, I message to confirm. No response. I message 3 more times. Nothing. Call a few times. Nothing. I hold out hope he will still show the next morning, but of course he doesn't. I'm now scrambling for movers and companies know I'm scrambling so I end up paying double the price I expected. Plus I'm out about $250 from the deposits and storage unit. Moving sucks. By 8AM, I'm scouring Craigslist for any kind of help! My husband and I ended up having to move most of our stuff into the driveway and wait for new movers we found on Craigslist. I normally don't write reviews but I would really like to thank Shawn for all the work. I contacted few companies and people to assemble my IKEA furniture and Shawn was the fastest person with the response. I had to re-schedule the IKEA assembly with him like 3 times because of the snowstorm and flight delay. With these crazy schedule changes, Shawn tried his best to arrange his schedule so I can finally have my IKEA furniture ready ASAP. His team (2 great other men) and he arrived on time and did a very fast & amazing work for my desk, drawer, full-size bed, dining table, and chairs. They were very careful about the apartment condition and tried their best not to scratch anything on the wall / floor. This was very appreciated. They're cheap, and all you're getting from them is cheap labor. They came for furniture disposal and my place was a total mess after they were done with it. They did not have tools with them when they knew they were breaking down a couch with screws. They spent 30 minutes going out to Home Depot and coming back. Then they proceeded to scratch the ceiling of my stairs while shouting out "BE CAREFUL OF ALL SURROUNDINGS" like it's an act. Every time they moved down the stairs I would hear a bang, like the furniture hitting my walls. They also just jumped on to the closet they're breaking down right on my hardwood floors, smashing it completely and with wood every where. They did not bother cleaning up and it was a total mess. Cheap prices get you cheap labor, I would not recommend this if you value your home. Response to owner's comments: Keep in mind the many contradictions this guy makes in his replies. 1) Over the phone, he told me he would be done with a job soon. He did NOT say he would leave the job early for me like he said in his review. If someone is willing to leave a current job early, undone, for a new client, is he really doing the job to his best abilities? Obviously not. His first lie. 2) "We can just break it down?" Here he forgot that he said, "We can just break it down after we take it outside?" Second lie. 3) "No need to waste time with every little screw if it is trash" Keep this in mind, as he contradicts his own comment later on. 4) He arrives on site, claims the bed frame is heavy? Not if you take it apart and take it down piece by piece like you're supposed to do. Did he expect that he could take a bed frame out of a South End brownstone with no tool? Clearly not prepared for the job. Third lie. 5) He forgot the tools, period. How do you show up to any furniture disposal job WITHOUT tools? Clearly unprepared. Yes, he gave me a flat rate (which he just made up, by the way, prices changed all the time over the phone). He still wasted MY time by heading out to home depot. 6) So go back to my third point, where he says "ANY REQUESTS OR DEMANDS, WE WOULD'VE OBLIGED", I asked him to take apart the closet because it will not go down the stairs. He did not listen, tried and do it and scratched the ceiling of my stairs (will add pictures later as I get to the property). Then he proceeds to break it apart on my wooden floors, not "obliging" to my "request" that he take it down using his tools. Nope, he said he doesn't want to waste time as they're all "going to the junkyard anyway." Fourth lie. 7) "The mess we had to try and work around was absolutely ridiculous." He obviously didn't pay attention when I said those are my tenants belongings since they're in the process of moving out. Has he never seen people move clothes using trash bags? He assumed they're all trash, and disrespected not only my property but my tenant's belongings. Any missing or damaged items that belongs to my tenant will most likely due to Shawn and his inappropriate job handling. I already let my tenant know to take him to small claims court if any items are damaged. 8) I will be following this review up with several pictures when I get to my property. Pictures including the mess he made, and the damage he did to the ceiling of my stairs. 9) At one point my neighbor came up to me and handed documents he had notarized for me, and was concerned due to the noise of Shawn's job. TNT movers helped me load a truck (1 bedroom apartment) this past Saturday. Overall, I think they did a great job at a very fair and affordable price. I also booked them about a week or week and a half before my move and that did not seem to be an issue -- Shawn was also one of the few movers I tried to call who actually answered, so I didn't have to wait days to hear back. Shawn was responsive to my texts / calls throughout, which I greatly appreciated. I did not get to meet Shawn because he was injured on a job earlier that morning, but he kept in touch with me consistently, letting me know who was coming in his stead. The guys were late getting to me, but that was due to the unexpected events from the earlier job and the fact that it is hard to get out to Waltham on public transportation. That was not an issue for me though because I had plenty of time and Shawn was keeping me updated about what was going on. Once the guys arrived (Patrick and Kyle) they got straight to work and did a super efficient job loading the truck. It was a very hot day outside but that did not slow them down. They got the work done in about 1.5 hours and didn't take breaks except to drink water (which I insisted on because it was so hot). They helped us arrange things in the truck so they would be more secure, but also listened to how we wanted things put and taken down. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend TNT to anyone in the area! read more

We are scheduled to move with TnT on the afternoon of 30th Aug and have been trying to reach TnT for the last 48 hours to confirm the time without any response. We tried to contact via phone, text, email and fb messenger. Given that most everyone had commended their great communication, I am confused what is the matter this time. And I am certain this means they are not going to show up for the job. We have paid them $150 in advance and to lose that money in addition to not having any movers scheduled for tomorrow has created a very stressful situation for us. I have to give Shawn and his crew credit, they did really great work for us. We had a ton of objects to move that I honestly believed would never make it outside and they made it happen. Nothing but professional behavior either, and I say this knowing how rare it can be in this industry. The thing that most impressed me was the care they took to make sure my items being moved, as well as the floors walls and such, were in the same condition they found them in. I honestly don't think I could have moved half of the items without denting at least one thing, yet they set up precautions and took great care to do just that. I'm also impressed that it took almost no time to set everything up. Shawn and Pat moved a table and a sectional couch for me yesterday. Their rates were much better than other moving companies (by a wide margin). I texted Shawn yesterday morning and the move was all done later that night. The couch fit tightly inside the door but they took care not to damage any walls or the couch/table. They were both at the location where I was picking up the Zipvan a few minutes early and didn't waste any time throughout the entire move. Make sure to give them some water and a tip as well. After another service (who shall not be named) arrived, banged on my treadmill a bit, told me (rudely) that the job was "too hard" and he wouldn't do it, then charged me $20 for gas, I started calling and came upon Shawn & Co. who offered to come the same day. They were quick (!), efficient (!), and polite (!!). On top of their very reasonable rate, I had to force them to the take the $20 for gas instead of the more reasonable $10 they were asking because they deserved it for driving out so far. SEAN IS A SCAM. Every negative review on Yelp holds true. I made moving arrangements with Sean for 08/31/2019 pick up and 09/01/2019 delivery in Cambridge. He asked for a $75 deposit and requested I pay him on Venmo. Two days later he texted me requesting an additional $40 to pay his cellular bill. He said he was in hospital with food poisoning over the weekend and lost a lot of jobs therefore needed the extra money. Because he seemed sincere I gave him the additional $40 on Venmo. Three days later he texted me asking for an additional $40 to pay his labor crew. At this point I did not feel comfortable giving him more money. He assured me it was no problem and we were still on for the scheduled move. I reread reviews on Yelp and although there are good reviews there are as many bad reviews. Shawn saved me from a nearly impossible situation. The mover who I had initially hired flaked on me at the last minute. I really needed my boxes shipped that day and it was a few hours before FedEx was going to close. I knew it was a long shot, but I contacted Shawn and asked if he was available like... now. First, I thought he was going to laugh at me so when he said he would figure out a way to help me, I couldn't believe it. Given my experience with various professionals these past few days as I prepare a major move, I still was skeptical and expected him to tell me later that he wouldn't be able to do it. He communicated with me the entire time and an hour later Shawn showed up at my door and moved my boxes! I have never had anyone keep my updated when something came up like traffic and where his moving partner was (who had the truck). Also, his fee was completely reasonable and he could have charged a lot more given that he literally rearranged his schedule to make this work. I am very surprised at the recent poor reviews of this company. We used Shawn and his guys for our move at the end of July. They were communicative and on time. WE were actually the ones delayed by almost 2 hours because we were driving a UHaul from MD to MA the day of, and Shawn and his team were understanding and flexible. They were there to meet us when we arrived and helped us troubleshoot parking our 26' foot truck when we arrived to a car in our no parking zone. They then proceeded to quickly move all of our stuff into our 4th floor walk-up on a 90 degree day. They had a great system, took great care, and moved everything in without issue. The guys were friendly, and were insistent (in a good way) that we didn't need to help (we tried anyway!) After unloading our entire apartment, they then drove 20 minutes downtown to my boyfriend's studio to unload all of his large building materials. Nothing at this point went as planned (including lack of parking and a malfunctioning elevator) and they rolled with it. They basically did two large moves for us in one afternoon/evening. This was an incredibly long and exhausting day and we couldn't have done it without Shawn and his team. I'm telling you, these guys work hard and they made our move so much less stressful. Shawn and his team did an outstanding job with our move in the Boston area, carrying the extensive contents of a two bedroom apt down 3 flights of very narrow stairs (no elevator!) and into our 26' u-haul. Even better, Shawn promptly and courteously responded to our last minute request and was there within an hour. This was in stark contrast to other movers who had canceled or no-showed us in the past because the job didn't appeal to them. He and his partner worked quickly and didn't scratch either items or the staircase walls (quite a feat)! They demonstrated that they knew just how to securely pack the u-haul to maximize the space and ensure items weren't damaged during travel.
