We had to move the left items and they gave me grief for requesting a $100.00 credit/rebate. They also "lost" belongings. The other day I was going to give them another chance, and gained quotes for 2 moves....2 locations. I got a lot of confusing information from their rep Regis, mistakes on the quotes, and then a lot of attitude from him as well. When I asked to speak to Santiago I was told "that was a different time"... meaning that the owner no longer talks to customers...he is too big for that now. Never again. They are not the company they once were.

They also brought a second truck to carry all of our garage/outdoor belongings, which was nice to know that those things weren't co-mingling with our indoor belongings. We were not initially quoted for a 2nd truck but we were also not charged extra for it based on our agreed-upon hourly rate, so it was much appreciated! I was especially grateful they didn't spam my inbox or blow up my phone after I requested a quote online - they absolutely respected my communication preference of no phonecalls please. I was also relieved they didn't make me fill out a complete, room-by-room inventory of what I needed moved. They charged a very reasonable flat hourly fee based on how many movers I requested (I went with three, which worked well). I was a little nervous that they didn't take a deposit - were they really going to show up?? but not only did they show up (and on time), they worked so quickly you wouldn't have guessed they were getting paid hourly. 10/10, would recommend and will rebook next time I have to move (hopefully not soon).

I would've preferred a phone call as opposed to filling out the app so there wouldn't be as much miscommunication between the movers and the job they had to do. Also, while it wasn't an issue, I got an email about 18 hours before our move asking if they could reschedule it for 2 hours earlier. The movers made contact when they were en route to my location, and showed up on time. All three of the movers introduced themselves, and post my tour of what they needed to move, they went to work. Our move was sizeable 3bd apt in a house to a 2bd smaller townhouse. They disassembled, reassembled, and arranged furniture in the most effective configuration. They were real people who truly cared about the job they did. They also understood how stressful moving is. My move took 6 hours and they were moving the entire time. Good communication, but a rough experience overall…read more We recently used Move and Care for a cross-country move from California to Chicago. While our representative was responsive and ultimately apologetic about the issues we experienced, the move itself had enough problems that we feel other customers should know what they might be signing up for. Our delivery window changed multiple times without much notice, requiring our belongings to be transferred to a holding truck -- an extra handling step that increases the risk of damage and that we hadn't anticipated. When unloading day finally came, at least two of the three crew members were openly rude and complained throughout the job. My wife was directing placement of boxes and was treated with visible impatience and disrespect -- not something we expected from a professional moving crew. Most of our belongings were not placed where she asked, leaving us to reorganize on our own. We also had damaged property that was not addressed to our satisfaction. To their credit: Our representative did apologize for the experience, and the company acknowledged that improvements need to be made. Whether those changes happen is something future customers will have to judge for themselves. We appreciated that the communication was generally prompt. But communication alone doesn't make up for a move that fell short at nearly every step. We'd encourage anyone considering Move and Care to go in with eyes open.
