I am now a former customer after some years of taking them high-end clothing. Never again! The quality of their service has become inconsistent, and when garments are ruined the owners take no responsibility. In July, I took in a tailored, three-piece suit for which I paid more than $1,400. They ruined the coat, which cost $800 alone. It was returned to me with stains that were not there when I brought it in as part of the full suit. I brought back the coat and accepted a complimentary recleaning. This time, I examined it on premises and found small holes that were not there before. Instead of admitting something had gone wrong, the owner Ben Hilker, took more than a week to have the coat "analyzed" and then claimed the damage was the result of insects harming the wool content. I reject that because Brothers' own policy is to examine garments at intake and note any flaws. None were noted because there were no flaws when the coat came in. It's only after it was twice cleaned by Brothers that damage appeared. I firmly believe that the so-called "analysis" is simply a ploy to avoid reimbursing me for a very expensive garment. read more

UNRELIABLE. LOST MY ITEMS. What a disaster. I went to Brothers for the first time this past weekend to drop off my son's band uniform. I have already had to go back multiple times because it was not ready when they originally said it would be. It is now Thursday and the junior manager Leo says they have lost 2 of my 3 items. Poor customer service skills... the basics were completely absent on my visit. I was not greeted by any of the three employees who clearly saw me. I said, "Hello" to one of them. A fella, not a gentleman, proceeded ahead of me and was waited on promptly, so I grabbed my coat, left and will never return. Extremely disappointing customer service. Brothers lost my boyfriend's expensive suit jacket and did not initially come forward about the error. Instead, they made excuses and would not claim responsibility for the lost item. Only after extensive negotiation did they claim responsibility and agree to reimburse him. Needless to say, this situation diminished our trust in them as a business after being loyal customers for years. As a first time customer, she also gave me a "welcome packet", that had coupons, a services brochure, & form for delivery service. I was promised the pants would be ready for pick up the next afternoon & they were! Thankful for drive-through service! My pants were $7.42 total. Reasonable price, in my opinion. my wife dropped her wedding dress off in February. they told us it would take a few months to clean and box. we went to pick it up in June and it was cleaned but not boxed. when we asked why it wasn't boxed the staff got extremely defensive and dismissive. saying they couldn't box it and we would have to pay the whole fee again even though they messed up. don't come here. just wasted $250 and didn't even get what we paid for. terrible customer service. After a month of me going in there once a week to see what the deal was because they never called me, they gave me some bullspit analysis saying that the coat did in fact shrink, but it was the manufacturer's fault and not theirs. This 5-star rating is for Aggie - thank you! For our wedding, I purchased an evening gown to wear instead of a traditional/conventional wedding gown. We dropped it off at Brothers Cleaners for a quick steaming and dealt with Aggie who was wonderful and such a pleasure to interact with. They were able to steam my dress and it was ready to pick up the very next day. No issues there. There was a minor issue with what we were quoted vs. what they tried to charge at pick up. As soon as you attach "wedding" to any service, the price somehow increases exponentially which was the case in this instance. Well Aggie not only understood that it was, in fact, an evening gown (purchased online from an evening gown retail store) but MOST IMPORTANTLY she also understood the importance of honoring the price we were quoted and were prepared to pay. She adjusted the price and we appreciated her level of customer service! read more

This place is absolutely horrible. I went one time and will never go back! They don't state their pricing and then completely over charge you when you get the bill. When asked why they don't list their pricing the manager Aggie (who has now changed her name tag to Michelle) is completely rude and refuses to do anything about it. I took it upon myself to call someone higher up and discuss how she treated us and if they would do something about it. Said they would credit my account $25 (which is minimal to what this place charges) and then come to find out they never credited the account! Aggie the manager didn't believe me that they stated that, luckily I had a text proving it but wasted 30 minutes of my time because she had to call around and see what she could do about it since she didn't believe me. I have used the North Hills store for nearly 10 years. I have found Aggie runs a very tight shop and is very customer friendly. I have found the staff very competent in the care of my clothes and other belongings. I also appreciate the monthly billing service which makes my drive thru pick-ups much quicker and efficient. Brothers is not the cheapest but I have found you get what you pay for in the cleaning business: No broken buttons, stain surprises, or lost items. The few times over 10 years something was misplaced it was either found or I was fully compensated for the error. 5 Stars Here. read more

They offer weekly pickup and delivery at home or office. I use the biweekly home service and love the convenience. I think they are about as high end as you can get in Raleigh. The quality of actual dry cleaning is pretty solid. I've rarely seen an issue with damage etc. in over 3 years of weekly usage. Excellent driver communication as to the occasional pickup or delivery reschedule. They offer monthly billing. I really don't think i've had to contact them for anything in over 3 years and that's pretty solid in the Dry Cleaning world! read more

Auuuuugh this location. To be fair I have had pretty great service at the Atlantic Blvd location but after my latest experience at North Hills I doubt i'll be back. Because of the fire at their Atlantic location all alteration orders are being taken at North Hills...Because of that I brought a skirt to be hemmed and my heavy winter coat to be repaired in a few spots. When dropping off I showed the lady at the front desk that my pockets needed to me repaired (the thread was coming loose) and that the thumb hole in my coat's sleeve needed to be reattached....Most coats don't have thumb holes (think workout jackets, as they're great for keeping the sleeves from riding up in cold weather) so I explained that the other sleeve would provide a good example of what it's supposed to look like since it was still sewn correctly. The lady said she understood, checked everything out, gave me a date and sent me on my way. When I arrived on the pick up date I was surpsised to find that instead of sewing my sleeve together to make the thumb hole again they instead sewed both the sleeves up totally (even on the side I had told them was fine and didn't need an alteration) so that there were no thumb holes at all. I asked what had happened and received this as an answer. "Oh.....Sorry" (Literally word for word). I did not receive a proper apology nor did the woman who helped me offer to see what could be done to fix it. On top of that she made me pay for the alteration on both sleeves, even though I didn't ask for it at all! I checked the directions on the receipt and it stated "Repair holes" which explains why whoever did the alteration was under the impression to sew the whole thing up, but that's not what I had asked for at all. When the girl working told me to have a great day and expected me to leave I asked if I could talk to the person who does the sewing and see how much it would cost me to fix the mistake. She got him and he was SUPER nice and offer to fix it with no extra charge in a couple of days....Unfortunately a couple of days has turned into over a week and every day when I call I am told they are working on it currently and it will be done the next day. Since I typically have good experiences at their Atlantic Avenue location I decided to reach out via Facebook and email explaining the entire situation before leaving my review. I did this last Friday. So far I have only received a "thumbs up" emojii as a response....Which is confusing and rather annoying.... At this point i'm ready to get my coat and just be done with Brothers. They made a mistake, didn't own up to it and have yet to even fix the problem. Nothing silk or satin. They charged me $20-$13 per piece! There are way too many other places who would do just as good of a job that won't charge you nearly as much. I went to Brothers Cleaners for the first time to have a few items dry cleaned. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, the prices seems to be a little overpriced compared to other cleaners in the area. I was a little appalled when my total came to $121 for 20 items. Not only was I displeased with the pricing, but they misplaced my graduation robe under someone else name. Even though I was informed by fellow neighbors that Brothers Cleaners have a reputation of misplacing items, I chose to give them a chance since I was new to the area. Sad to say the least that I have been disappointed in their service as well as their pricing and the quality of work. Had pretty decent service up till the fire - they would occasionally drive through my lawn, not use the coupon included in the bag, billing issues - but then they had a fire. I feel bad for them - no one was hurt which is most important - but they have yet to follow up with me after 3 weeks of emails and phone calls to settle claim of 8 lost shirts. I'm so upset that I made this account Just so I can voice my opinion. since it was obvious that they couldnt care less about how I felt. Dont waste your money going to this business. Not only are they over priced for the work they manage to do. They cant even do it without getting it wrong, how do you over stretch clothes? and the manger gives this whole business a bad name(as if the way you get tour things back wasnt enough of a reason for this place to just close its doors for good.) How can you be so entitled when you job is to make sure that people get their close back in a timely manner and in a wearable state? after seeing how unprofessional the manager was I wasnt suprised at all with everything else I recieved service wise. Although what upset me the most from the over stretch clothes and some that still had stains in them. Would have had to been the fact that they managed to lose something very valuable to me. a blanket that my grandmother had man for me when I was a baby that I now use for my daughter. i know its sentimental therefore you cant really put a monetary that isnt what the supply's cost. My wife brought her wedding dress to this location to have it cleaned, preserved, and boxed after our wedding in May . They informed her that the process would take 3-4 weeks max. After a month with no word from them, she called and they said the dress was ready to be viewed and boxed up. So she did that and gave them the okay to box it. She was told it would be another week or two before it was finished. She continued to call every week to check on her dress, each time they said it was at their Atlantic Ave location waiting to be viewed (which had already been done). The last time she called, in August, the Atlantic Ave location said it was ready for pick up at North Hills. She called north hills and they said it was at Atlantic ave. Basically, neither location knew where her wedding dress was- they lost it. Finally, it turned up and when we picked it up no one offered to compensate us for losing her dress nor the inconvenience of waiting for two months with no updates. They are very unorganized. If you have important items to clean, take them elsewhere. read more

I turned in my clothes on July 28th and attempted to pick them up on August 9th only to find that they have no record of my clothes. After helping Aggie go through every rack in the back, she thankfully found my clothes, but they were in a laundry bag tossed in a dusty corner and had never been laundered or pressed nor even processed in their system. All I can say is thank goodness for Aggie. But needlesstosay, I will never be using this business again. I do not under any circumstances recommended them to anyone. Aggie is the only one at that establishment that cares about customer service. The individual helping me originally couldn't have cared less about me, nor did it matter that some of the missing articles were for my Army Service Dress uniform, expensive custom tailored articles that are not easily replaced.
