Yelp actually led me to this sandwich shop. I searched for sandwiches in my area, and this was one of the few places that popped up. I'm forever grateful for that recommendation because they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried a few items on the menu, but the one I always recommend is the Hot Italian. Everything about this sandwich is incredible. It's packed with flavor, and you can honestly tell it was made with care. I usually pair it with a bag of chips, and the total comes to around $18. It's absolutely worth every penny and always leaves me full and satisfied. The shop is consistently clean, and the customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I find myself going back over and over again, then telling myself I need to take a break--only to end up back there a few weeks later. That's how good it is. A couple of things to keep in mind before you visit: there's only limited street parking, so you may have to circle the block to find a spot. There's also not much room to wait inside, although they do have a bench or two where you can sit while your sandwich is being prepared. In my experience, the wait is usually around 15 minutes. He is always so good with making sure my cravings are satisfied, and after perusing Yelp, we decided to come here. We arrived at the deli on a weekend afternoon. It wasn't too busy. The deli is a nice size with a couple of benches to sit and wait for your food. You can look at the menu and order, plus grab a drink or chips. They have a nice variety of items to grab that go well with your sandwich. The service was friendly and quick. Workers were all kind, and we love that it's dog-friendly! Regarding the sandwiches, you can get a hot or cold sandwich. You can also build your own! Companion got the Hot Boy, and I went the Build Your Own route. The sandwiches are hefty, with lots of great meats and fillings, and for the price, very decent! I wish my bread were a bit more toasted and crunchier, but that's my preference. It hit the spot, and I'd be open to trying their other sandwiches. I don't often go to delis, but Brothers Deli was a nice place to try. I'm hella close to this place and was long overdue to go here! Food was bomb. Had it and my Yerba Madre because I needed food and tea during a power outage (dang so THAT's what got me there lol) and my sandwich was delicious. Big sandwich split in half but I managed to make myself eat the whole sandwich in one sitting. I loved it. I didn't have to wait too long for my order either, it tasted like it was totally made fresh. Expensive unfortunately to order there but I'm coming back when I can. I asked them what was the best sandwich on the menu. The young man said lots people like "Italian Sub" and the "Brother's Choice." I asked how big the sandwiches are, and he wasn't sure. He held up his hands to approximate the size. So I ordered the "Chopped Sando." I wanted a cold sandwich that was easy to eat. Pretty good sandwich for $13.95. "Chopped" gives the sandwich a blended filling on a soft roll. I asked for no peppers. So the chopped filling had a mild flavor. BTW, my sandwich was about 10-1/2" - 11" long. I estimated the size based on the length of a standard sheet of paper.....8-1/2" x 11." You can only order one size. They also sell drinks, chips, and candy. All orders are takeout. I really shouldn't single them out because I've noticed that a lot of the east bay delis have the same type of bread, but I will say that it just wasn't my taste. My wife got basically the same but on the pizza bianche bread (special sandwich of the day) - so good! Ambiance is clean and simple. No tables to sit and eat but there's a couple of benches while you wait. The only complaint that I might have is the parking situation but it's a neighborhood spot so it's all good. Traveling around the east bay and found Brothers Deli by pure chance. So glad we did, my husband and I loved our sandwiches. He had the Chicken Parmesan which was well made, very fresh, and delicious. However, I had the Chicken & Pesto Panini which we both agreed was the most delicious of the 2!
