He later spent four hours installing a Pentair Water Softener for us and fully explained the system and how to maintain it. We used Brothers to help with a plumbing repair at our home and were very unhappy with the responsiveness and speed of the plumbing repair. This work has now gone on for weeks when it should have only taken a day or two. Also, the receptionist was very rude and unhelpful whenever we called. Though they were the only plumber available to come out after hours to fix a water pipe break due to a freeze, they did not communicate with me after on their recommendations to fix the issue permanently. This happened Monday early evening, I called Tuesday, no call back. I called Wednesday asking for a bid for the additional work and an invoice to be sent for the work already done and a call back. It is 4:30 on Wednesday. Still no call. Wow. This is a small town, and I have a big mouth. read more

I live in Port Townsend and thru the help of Olycap retained Bros Plumbing to fix my kitchen faucet that leaked badly! They came out several times but couldn't fix the leak. They guessed I had a water pressure problem and pumped my hot water heater to lower pressure! It preceded at this point to make matters worse. Now its become my problem again and they refuse to fix it. Look else where for your plumbing problems if you want guaranteed work done!! read more

I hired brothers plumbing on 3-4 occasions. Each time the itemized bill was higher than the quote. They nickle and dime you in a way I had not experienced before. The final incident was when I had a tough toilet clog. The repairman came out and used a snake and scratched the toilet bowl. Then they had the audacity to say that it was all ready that way. Than the owner told me not to call them again. Don't worry I won't. Just a word of caution to all those of you looking for an honest plumber. Try someone else. read more

Absolutely no follow through on their jobs. I literally had to coordinate all request for service by calling on a Monday and waiting the entire week for a call back just to get a excuse as to why they never showed up or called back. My request to fix a leaking pipe in my drive way has taken them 3 months to fix and now I have a hole in my drive way they are refusing to fill! Concrete debris and dirt remain next to the hole and they said they are finished with the job! This is of coarse is after I spoke with a worker that said someone would be back to sand and cap the hole and remove the debris "next week". read more

That was now 13 days ago called 3 days ago and talked to someone to see if I could get my bid. She said she would have the guy call me and that she was sorry it took so long. I bought a new to me house in August. I knew the systems in place were old and would need to be replaced eventually. My well pump went out last weekend and I called Brothers and Ray came out. He troubleshooted the issue and unfortunately it was the well pump. They came out first thing Monday morning. They fixed the issue and Eureka! Water!...then on Thanksgiving I noticed the pump house was flooding. I called the next day and they came out again. My old float went out. They came out and fixed it right away. Used Brothers Plumbing in October 2016, to purchase and install an AO Smith, 80 gallon, Hybrid Electric Water Heater. Installed, the water heater was around $2,300. Two years and four months later, the water heater wasn't operating properly so I called Brothers Plumbing to check out the problem. After two service calls, AO Smith decides to replace the water heater under it's 10 year warranty. Brothers charges for the service calls to check it out and to install the replaced water heater, totaled $343.79, AND and charges an additional 3% if you use your credit card. If I had it to to do over again, I'd certaintly choose another plumbing company, can't recommend doing business with the Brothers. read more

As strange as this may sound, I had the pleasure of requiring the services of Brother's Plumbing on November 1, 2015. On the late afternoon of October 31, I made the unpleasant discovery that my sewer line was backing up by way of my floor drain in my basement. This being a weekend, I was sure I would have to wait until Monday to call in a plumber. My daughter looked online for me and suggested Brother's Plumbing, stating that their ad said they take calls 24/7. Within 45 minutes after I made the call to them on November 1, a young man from their company, named Justin, showed up on my doorstep. He had the line cleaned out very quickly and was very meticulous with cleaning up the mess. I expected this to cost me an arm and a leg, but I felt that the charge was very fair - especially considering this was an emergency and on a weekend. Justin was very pleasant, courteous and conscientious. He offered me advice that anyone that lives in an older home should be aware of but I apparently was not - such as tree roots. Some additional advice I think should be helpful to the public is to know where your cleanout is. Living in my older home, my cleanout ended up to be in a very strange location, behind the toilet in my downstairs basement. Having this information can make it easier for your plumber to get the job done! I would highly recommend Brother's Plumbing. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. Brothers Plumbing was kind enough to let us pay monthly for their plumbing services. The first payment my husband tried to pay with a card, and to my understanding, their machine did not work. So he tried to mail them a check using the address he got on the internet and the check came back, addressee unknown. He called and asked them to deduct a $100 payment from our checking account. They took $763 out of our checking account, which left us $600 overdrawn. When my husband came home and told me he was devastated. He said they could not return it, that there was some sort of "process" they had to go through, while I was saying "they stole our money! They have to return it now!" I have had cancer twice with radiation damage to my lungs. I have had trouble with my right leg swelling since December. My doctor finally found a combination of diuretics that decreased the swelling, however I was out of one and had no money since our checking account was OVERDRAWN! That medicine ran out the Sunday before this happened. Our money did not get returned to our account until Friday morning! I am suggesting that people make mistakes, but a huge bungle like this needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY and not when they get around to it, or when the "process" finally returns it. Write a check, hand them cash, do a cash transfer, do something to not leave YOUR CUSTOMER hanging in limbo because of your mistake!!!!! Be kinder next time and more responsible and have some compassion for other people. Among people in this neighborhood Brothers doesn't have a very good reputation. They seem to not honor their commitments. However, they have done an adequate job for me. This was a complete re-do of my pump house. The inflow valves from three water catchment tanks were plastic and getting very sticky. While there I had him replumb the rest of the old plastic in the pump house. Only one problem. He changed the routing of water and put the UV filter before the particle filters. I questioned him about this but he told me that was the right way to do it. That evening I dug out the instructions for the UV filter and discovered he had hooked it up backwards. Called the office and he came back the next day and corrected it. I somehow got the idea he was doing me a favor. He charged me for the extra materials but not labor. So, instead of a nice neat job it's a mess of criss cross plumbing so he could bail himself out of the mess he created. read more

Our neighbors who share the same sewer line to the city connection as us, hired Brother's Plumbing to fix a clog in the line between our clean out and theirs. Without making sure someone was in our home (we were out of state and our daughter was at work) to obseve the procedure, he flushed the line with high pressure water. After an 11 hour work day my daughter returned to the house to find our front bathroom flooded with sewage. She had to shovel this mess and clean up as best she could that night and missed work the next day to remove hallway carpet and continue to remove sewage. This put her health and safety at risk. We received a phone call from Brother's basically saying they were sorry for the sewage flood and "these things happen". They have not returned my phone calls regarding a face to face to resolve this calamity. Since, we have had to hire a professional cleanup company which has removed all the contaminated materials. We are left with a torn up bathroom and hallway and will now have to find a contractor to repair our demolished room and hallway. I would give a minus star if possible. Look elsewhere for a plumber if you want a responsible professional. read more

Called Brother's Plumbing in Sequim when my water heater started leaking because I had used them several times in the past and was happy with their service. Wes Ward came out the same day, checked it over and determined it had rusted out and needed to be replaced. We talked about the minerals in my community well water and he tested a water sample and determined we had high rates of iron and calcium which would contribute to the rusting. He checked the serial number to determine it's age (it was 20 years old), and told me about different models and their prices. He had asked me earlier on the phone what I currently had so had brought a similar one with him and was willing to replace it that same day but I had read up on water heaters in Consumer Reports and decided I wanted a more expensive one with a 10 year warranty and that one needed to be ordered. When it arrived he called to verify it was there and kept me informed as to his schedule and when he would arrive later that day. He then removed the old one and installed the new one. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and did everything in a very professional manner. My only complaint is that he gave me the cost of the water heater but not the cost of labor and parts so the bill was much higher than I had expected. That was really my fault because I was aware they are part of the total cost and know he would have told me if I had asked. read more

The plumber did not show up at appointed time, but he did call to explain about an emergency and reset the appointment. My three jobs were done in less time than I expected and I was charged the amount of the initial quote. The plumber was very professional and friendly. I have had no problems with his work. If he had shown up the first day, I would probably give Brother's Plumbing five stars. read more

Had a leak in the ceiling. They did fix the leak, but snuck around and put their stickers under other sinks, on the garbage disposal, and on the water tank. If I wanted to advertize for them, I would. Totally amature! Will never use them again, and do not recommend them. read more

Called at 9:00 am on 6/20/16, as I needed to clear a blocked kitchen sink. I was told they would come between 10 am and 1:00 pm. Received a call from Haley at 12:45 pm saying they would be late....maybe not until 4:30. She said I had been pre-empted by a restaurant. I wondered if they were more important than individual homes ? She pretty much said yes. I then told Haley that I was not happy with them taking all day to show up and the phone connection then went dead. I called back and asked her if I had hung up or had she? She said she did because I was being disrespectful.! Then proceeded to tell me that she didn't have to take that. Never did I criticize her. No apologies, either, for being late or anything like that. I shouldn't be sensitive to someone who is the first line representing, but hanging up on a customer is a bit much. Won't be doing business with Brothers in the future, nor will I recommend them. read more
