In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. So when I proclaim that Brothers Three serves up the best pizza in the Marinette metropolitan area, it is more a function of negligible competition than Brothers Three blowing back my hair with their culinary offerings. With that out of the way, I had a decent experience during my last visit to Brothers Three. The restaurant was packed with customers when my party of ten arrived early on a Saturday. Despite the crowds, the host promptly seated us and provided our group with menus. With plenty of dark interior woodwork and low wattage light fixtures, the recently remodeled interior still gives off a 1970's sort of vibe. The only thing missing is a Space Invaders video game console. Overall, our server preformed admirably. While she struggled to answer our questions about the beer options available that evening, she checked in with our group frequently, cleared dirty dishes, kept our group well hydrated (a critical task, as it was 99-cent domestic tapper night). I also appreciated the prompt delivery of our bill, which allowed our group to make it to our next destination on time. Another nice touch was the general manager making rounds to all the tables that evening, chatting with all the patrons, whether they are newbies or long-time patrons. The food was generally underwhelming. While I enjoyed the crust of the cheese bread ($7.95), the bland cheese topping needed more browning in order to develop more flavor. The pizza was a run-of-the-mill, hand-tossed pizza. While marginally better than the low-end big chains (Pizza Hut / Domino's / Papa John's), there was nothing too memorable about the crust and the sauce, good or bad. When it comes to toppings, Brothers Three adheres to the quantity over quality philosophy. The pepperoni pizza had a thick layer of slightly burned pepperoni. My bacon cheeseburger pizza ($19.75 for a 15" pizza) was studded with bacon nuggets (good) and slathered with an excessive dose of low-end yellow mustard (bad, V-E-R-Y bad). The under-seasoned hamburger had peculiar texture. As strange as it sounds, I enjoyed the pickles on the pizza, but they really needed to be diced. The intense flavor of the thick, dill disks completely overwhelmed any of the other components (even the awful mustard). We had a pile of leftovers and with the help of a hot skillet, the excess pizza made for a pleasing feast the following day. Brothers Three remains a popular dining spot in Marinette - the place is always packed every time we visit. Despite the shortcomings, it's a cost-effective way to feed the kids on those nights when you don't have the time or energy to cook a homemade meal. I'm guessing this place is popular because there's no where else to go. The sauce is so sweet and sugar is not a spice. The crust is too thick, burnt on the outside, too chewy on the inside. The toppings are so greasy, then add cheese to really make a shiny, sloppy mess on top of overcooked, blackened-charred cheese. Awful, just awful. read more

The food is four star. The fifth is for perhaps the finest slogan I am personally aware of. The Brothers Three...for hungry people. I would have loved to have been sitting at the table the night they came up with that. So they have something called the Famous Flour Nacho, and when it came out it was extremely underwhelming. Then we took the plain chips and dipped it in the cheese sauce on the side. Five minutes later, we ordered some more. That's some good sauce. We also ordered the pizza 'For Hungry People'. Contrary to other reviews I have read, it was not greasy, and it was definitely meaty and cheesy, which to my knowledge are two important components to a pizza. The other two components (crust, sauce) were good, too. If you are in God's Country, be a hungry people and have the pizza created especially for you. read more

We dined at 9:30PM last night right after I picked my husband up from work. We didn't know if we were too late for food service but we were okay! My husband ordered baked cod and I had spaghetti with meat sauce. They were both very good. Our waitress knew what she was doing and the young man tending bar was together, also. Karen our waitress put a fresh pot of coffee on which was super nice since they were closing soon. We will return. Good food and nice people. I think this is special because we were almost the last customers before they closed and we never felt like they wanted us to hurry up and leave so that they could get home after a very long day. Well, I am dispointed with them right now, we use to order just about every weekend, med half and half but it was burned really bad,and tasted nasty i called and she said we would get another no change a gift card for the same kind, waited a few weeks and no card in the mail. called again i explained the problem and again i was told to bad i am sorry she she she would pass it along to someone and took my name and number, and waited a few more weeks and nothing again no call no mail for pizza i get it bad weekes but i heard nothing from a manger , I know I am just me but I guess in today world i really thought it did matter that one that one day a reall bad pizza made a differents. and so did my 20 per weekend. but i guess it did not. Stopped in for the lunch special. We were told by a couple locals that it can't be beat. Arrived 5 minutes after opening, hoping to get in and out with a quick lunch. I had the pizza/salad/drink combo. All said and done, I was out for less than $5! Can't beat that! Service was slow... Painfully slow...we were there for over an hour. We had taco pizza, calzone and cheese bread delivered to our hotel room. Everything came in the time they promised to deliver. We asked for napkins, plates, side of marinara sauce, silverware and got none of it. We were charged for the marinara sauce yet didn't get it. We had the taco pizza and it was okay came warm not hot. The calzone was very good and hot per our kids. Then bread was also warm not hot. Overall the food was just okay. If we were back in the area I think I'd skip delivery and try dinning in maybe it would've been a better experience that way. read more

Driving through town and called in a take out order. Located in a nondescript brown building Marinaded chicken salad was large and loaded with large pieces of chicken. The BLT sandwich for n whole wheat was MEH.... Fries ok. Shedded lettuce on the sandwich and mayo tasted funky. They did not give us the diet Coke ordered. I'm from Marinette, and like almost any local person, I love Brother's Three. Even though I'm not a fan of their pizza, I still give them a 5-Star rating for a few reasons. First of all, I am a rarity - everyone else in my family absolutely loves the pizza. But, even though I don't enjoy the pizza, I do like most of their food- they have quite a variety on the menu. Their quesadillas are one of my all-time favorite foods. It's not a quesadilla in a traditional sense, though. It's a single flat tortilla with loads and loads of cheese melted on top with onions, black olives, tomatoes, and green peppers. (Of course, you can get chicken as well). Also, I highly recommend their flour nachos! As a summary, try the pizza - it is quite different, but it is a local favorite. And if you don't like the pizza, they do have many other great options. :) read more

The Brothers Three in Marinette, WI is well known in the area for their good pizza, but what about other kinds of food they have at their establishment? I went to the Brothers Three on 05/25/2012 on a date with my girlfriend. It was on a Friday night and we were quickly seated. I was in the mood for a fish fry, not pizza. While looking over the menu I did not see any sort of fish on the menu at all. Scanning the dining room I did not see any sort of menu board or advertisement for fish or a fish fry. I asked the waitress if The Brothers Three offered a fish fry and she informed me they did in fact have one. I got a perch fish fry for roughly around $10.00 What I got was a huge disappointment. I got three, tiny pieces of pre-formed, pre-breaded fish that were more more closely resemble to fish sticks then an actually fish fry. You can go to our local Walmart and pick up a box of fish sticks for $12.00 that offers better portions and actually tastes better then the awful fish they sold me at The Brothers Three. On top of that all of their silverware was spotty and the butter knife I had actually had stuff still on it, they do not take the time and care to properly wash their eating utensils. The Brothers Three makes "OK" pizza, but don't bother ordering anything else, or even eating in for that matter, you will be sorely disappointed. read more

Great pizza! The regular pizzas are wonderful (sauce is good and many toppings to choose from), but the specialty pizzas are something you must try! Although it sounds odd, the "reuben pizza" is great (especially if you like saurkraut), the "taco pizza" is a cool alternative to regular cheese and pepperoni, and the "bacon cheeseburger pizza" is one of my favorites. Was as good as you can buy in Chicago? No. But it was a good attempt at one! Hubby ordered the Brothers Three Deluxe pizza (sausage, mushrooms, pepperoni and tomatoes) - Wow. GREAT pizza. Sliced mozzarella layered on top with tomatoes baked on top of that. Great, thin crust. Overall: I'd skip the really good Italian Beef and just get a pizza - it was that good. Daughter (4 y.o.) had a mini-pizza. Great kids menu. Tap beers. Waitstaff? There was one waitress for a Sunday afternoon; she was running. She was nice, but did not have time to be personable. I am so saddened by the fall of quality of this pizza. In the 1980s and 1990s this pizza was AMAZING. I recently went back to Marinette and was so excited to have the pizza. Wtf?? It is completely different, and not for the better. The crust is some crap that is similar to a frozen grocery store pizza. The sausage and pepperoni still taste the same.
