Finally made it here, been meaning to try for a while. Typical bar and restaurant set up in an old building. A good-sized dining room with the obligatory red checkered table cloths. We sat right down on a not-to-busy Thursday night. The menu is extensive, with burgers, specialty sandwiches, Italian plates, pizza and more. We had an Ellie's Special pizza and breadsticks as appetizer. The appetizers came out in minutes, hit and tasty. The pizza arrived promptly, and it was pretty good. Good crust, and piled high with toppings! The sauce was ok, not as tangy as I prefer, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the meal! I didn't get the server's name, but she was fast and friendly and cute as a button. We'll be back to work through more of the menu! read more

Great family owned place. Real Italian food with a nice bar. The owners are there and come out and talk to you. Great place.

This was our first time here and will probably be our last. It was busy but there was quite a few servers running around. Restaurant is older and needs a good deep clean and updating. Service was not friendly and several other tables were getting frustrated with the lack of service. I've been a server and I understand what it's like to be swamped, but the service was bad. Our food wasn't great either. Portions were huge and too much. My son said it's basically every red flag from Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. read more

Stuffed pizza was superb, as good as I've had in Chicago. It easily surpassed the litmus test of a good deep dish/stuffed pizza: you are full after one slice but it was so good you force yourself to have another. The cheese curds were also top notch. Prices across the board were extremely reasonable. Will be back. read more

Great new business. Owner behind the bar really working hard but has a smile anyway. Reasonable bar prices and good pours, although the bar needs to increase their liquors and beers on offer. Pizza decent, but not awe inspiring: sweet sauce, good crust. I give it a B. Better and much more reasonably priced than Ogden Club. Cheese curds excellent. The mostaccioli was ok, but kind of bland - the house sauce needs some kick. Same for the garlic bread - no one has ever complained their garlic bread had too much garlic. Cheese tortellini very good. The chicken parmesan was fantastic. A huge plate cooked perfectly. 4 people ate with drinks and appetizer for under $100 including tax & tip. Nice place, fantastic service. Off-street parking. I'll be back. read more

One star, pizza is blah, dough is undone, the cheapest toppings. Sauce has no flavor, evidently whoever cooks this has no idea what good pizza is made with. We tried 3 different pizzas, veggie, pepperoni and chicken buffalo. The chicken one had bacon like Bacos, no buffalo sauce to speak of. Doughy mess. Veggie pizza had canned mushrooms, a few pieces of red pepper. Pepperoni one at least gave some flavor from the pepperoni. Been making pizza for 40+ years, thank we will stick to mine. read more
