Every time I walk through the mall I always see Brow Art. I know right now there is a big hype about getting your eyebrows threaded. I have heard all the pros and cons about it. The most common are: Pros: Threading gives you clean lines, cleans up all the fine hairs you can't get with waxing and tweezing, lasts longer (which I doubt since when you pull the hair from the root - no matter what method it should be about the same length) Cons: Hurts more than waxing and is a real pain. Well, I finally went to Brow Art and since I always seen a lot of people there I figured it had to be at least decent. So being brave I gave it a chance. I have to admit I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! When she began I was waiting for the pain and waiting to flinch.. but there was no movements of flinching and no pain at all! I was so shocked to see how quickly the process is and with no pain. I honestly think tweezing my brows is more painful. When I got waxed before my eyebrows wouldn't be as clean and of course you would be able to tell that I had just got it done because of the redness I had and it hurts. Well with threading NO REDNESS! Hip hip hooray! I will be going back most definately! They also offer threading on other parts of the face for decent prices. Eyebrows cost $15 which I think is pretty average and for the location. They do offer a membership that costs $50 and you have your choice to choose from. 1 being 6 sessions for 6 months - so once a month you get your eyebrows done over six months. 2. You can go in unlimited amount of times for over a 3 month period. No matter what. So lets just say they will be seeing me every single time my eyebrows are growing out.! The lady that done it was super sweet. She shaped up my eyebrows and also trimmed them! My fiancee definately loves the new brows and suggests that I go back to them only, to get them done! I am so glad that I had mustered up the courage to try it out! read more

This place is definitely hit or miss. I have had some wonderful work done on several occasions, mainly at the Northgate location, but I have only gone to the Lynnwood location 2 times. The first time was okay, but I went today and got butchered. Fortunately, it is just eyebrows and they will grow back, but I think I will stick with the Northgate location! read more

I come here whenever I need my brows done. I have their membership card and it is a great buy. I do have my favorites so if I go and they aren't there I usually just wait a couple days. As long as you tell them what you want they do it well. read more

WORST EVER!!!! STAY AWAY!!! I went to the location inside the mall to shape up my brows. I have never tried this, and I thought I would treat myself due to my daughter graduating. When I walked up, I was pointed to a chair. No hello, no how is your day... nothing. Just a finger. I sat down in the chair and started looking at the pictures. I wasn't sure what to do, as it was my 1st time. The woman came up and told me to put my head back. She then started yanking out my brows. I figured I would just let her do what she does. I mean she does this multiple times a day, right? She never said a word the entire process. She finished and handed me a mirror. It was almost impossible for me to see with all the tears in my eyes. I did, however, notice that half my eyebrows were gone (and they were fairly thin already). What could I say? "Could you please put them back?" I paid and left. My daughter came up to me and had a strange look on her face. She brought me immediately back and told the woman that my brows were 2 different shapes. 1 angled at the nose, the other slanted. The woman actually rolled her eyes and said, "I do this all day long. Your mom's eyebrows grow like that." My daughter insisted she at least make them even. She filled one in with powder and said, "There, she just needs to fill them in." My daughter again insisted she make them the same shape. She turned around to another woman and said something in another language and sighed very heavy and told me to get back in the chair. She pulled out a few hairs and showed me a mirror. It looked terrible!!!! 1 is now half the side of the other, and are still misshapen!!! I just wanted to leave at that point, and I did. I will never go back, and I strongly urge others to do the same!!! read more

Shabnam enlightened me to the art of threading and I will never go back to waxing! My eyebrows have never looked better naturally without having to fill them in. I have never been disappointed after leaving the threading salon as i have with other waxing places. The pain is much less intense than waxing and the results last longer. My initial experience was very positive, however my last 3 sessions I must have had techs that were learning because my eyebrows were completely uneven to the point of being comical. I looked like the Cheri Oteri character on SNL, Colette Reardon. It was really bad. 3 strikes and you're out in my book. I'd rather save my money and pluck than have to try and fix a botched job each time. I spent longer fixing my brows than if I had just plucked them to begin with, not to mention the time and gas to get there, waiting in line, etc. It's too bad because I really liked the whole threading deal as opposed to waxing. My husband and I come here all the time to get our brows done and have never had an issue until today. Shablam usually takes care of us, but when I went in today she wasn't there. As I was patiently waiting while the lady who I've never seen before finished up with a client, I got ready to sit in the chair when all of a sudden this girl comes out of nowhere and sits down. The threader looked at me, shrugged and started servicing the girl who rudely sat down in front of me. Completely unacceptable. Unfortunately I just renewed my membership, but once it's finished, I will be taking my business elsewhere and will tell everyone I have referred as well. This type of behavior and lack of customer service rubs me the wrong way and there is plenty of places out there for me to choose from. read more

I moved to the area from San Diego where I had wonderful experiences with threading. I found Brow Art while on a trip to the Alderwood Mall and was thriller. I was threaded by a woman named Jill on my first two trips (she was wonderful) and bought a membership card for 6 eyebrow threads for $50. I have since been there a total of 5 times and have been let down the last 3 times (Jill was not working) not only by slightly sloppy work but I truly believe the woman are trying to make it hurt as much as possible and have 0 people skills. i.e. the last time the woman shoved my head to the side rather than asking me to tilt my head. On the previous trip the woman didn't say a word to me; not even when she wanted me to look at her work in the mirror. I opened my eyes to see a mirror shoved in my face. Not to mention that they don't wipe the hair from your face so no matter how hard I have tried I always end up with tiny hairs in my eyes. Needless to say I will be using the last trip on my card (so I'm not wasting it) but will not be buying another one or returning for business. The only redeeming quality that kept them from a 1 star rating was Jill; she is over polite, talks with you while working, and has the most pain free technique I have experienced yet. read more

Most of the ladies here do a great job and listen to what you want. However I am very disappointed with their membership. I purchased a membership back in August. Since then I have been using it for both brow and lip. However the last time I went they told me that it was only for eyebrows and would charge me for my lip. Before this I had noticed how disorganized they were with their memberships but did not want to make much of it. But after this I was told that they didn't have the type of membership I had purchased on record and that is why they had to charge me. Safe to say that I will no longer purchase a membership due to their inability to keep their members information organized. read more

Hesitant to reveal this secret because I want to keep her to myself, but before my latest visit to brow arc with mamisha, I dreaded getting my lip threaded (beauty is pain and all that). I made her aware of my anxiety and she was the first person ever to not make me cry or wince in pain from the lip thread! She did a great job on my brows too. After moving to WA from New York where I was a regular at a salon that only charged $4 and did exactly what I wanted, I was worried about finding a decent eyebrow place out here. I thought this would be my new spot and I had high hopes, but unfortunately the girl who did my brows did them WAY too thin after I specifically told her I just wanted to clean them up. When I looked in the mirror I told her they were too thin, to which she replied that its the shape that works for my face. Okay, that's understandable, but NOT what I asked for. I was considering buying a membership here but i'm really disappointed by the fact that she took just went ahead and did what she wanted without consulting me first. Granted my eyebrows don't look bad, which is why i'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2, but I don't like the shape on myself, and I take my eyebrows very seriously.
