I've been coming here ever since they opened about a year ago. I always gone to the same person and continue to go to the same person named Auria. I have gone to multiple locations and met a few different waxers for my Brazilian, getting different results each time. But Auria's work has my Brazilian lasting for 4-6weeks. She is knowledgeable about the stores products and advised me to try a few different ones that HELPED with my ingrown hairs. I used to get 7-10 ingrown hairs and getting them out is so painful! But ever since she taught me about different products that may help and which it did.. I only have 1-2 ingrown hairs every time I come back. Meeting different waxers taught me different things on how to take care of my skin where I get waxed but I still gotten ingrown hairs, itchy, and patchy hairs.. I don't know what Auria does differently but her results are different from other waxers. I don't have to go so often, I don't get itchy within the 2-3 week mark, and I barely get ingrown hairs (I absolutely hate)!! Also with a Brazilian wax, it's also not a comfortable situation to show your kitty to anyone and within the first couple minutes meeting her.. I definitely felt comfortable. She is safe and clean during this covid time and I've been going back since they re-opened. I haven't had any issues during this pandemic. read more

I had a great experience at the Spokane location a couple years ago and thought I would give them another try. I went in for a Brazilian and eyebrow wax and tint combo special. She started with a Brazilian, she didn't think I needed a full Brazilian so we only did a bikini wax. Next step was the tint. She didn't ask me about different colors and just applied it. I assumed she would notice that my hair color is black, but she applied brown eye brows. I don't know if they only have one eye brow color, but it did not match my natural eye brow color or shape at all. I didn't notice until after I paid and got to my car. I had an appointment right after so I didn't have time to go back inside . When I got home I went to inspect my wax, I had leftover hairs all over. I shouldn't have to shave after going to a professional for a wax. There was no attention to detail. I was very disappointed in this session and the wax specialist. To be honest the wax specialist looked like she just woke up and her hair was in a very messy bun. Not like a good I tried messy bun, but like a I didn't have enough time to get ready messy bun. I wish there was a zero option. First off the actual waxers are amazing. The front desk workers are TERRIBLE! I have been a customer for years and within the past 3 months they have canceled 3 waxing appointments for no reason-I show up and they have been canceled. No apology or offer to fit me in. Today I took my daughter in, they couldn't have been ruder if they tried. They told me at the end I needed to set up her own account she can't use mine-why?!? When I said I wasn't comfortable with this they let me know in the most degrading and rude tone to take my business elsewhere, while my daughter was crying right next to me. I've been going to the Bothell Everett Highway EWC for over 5 years and it's a hit or miss. My recent handful of visits have pretty much been all misses. I've had an associate drop wax on an expensive shirt (I had to go to a conference right after) and all they did was tell me to freeze my shirt when I got home...I had to throw it out because the wax didn't come off. My most recent experience was with an associate whom I had already requested never to be scheduled with again because my prior experience with her was also terrible. I didn't remember her when I saw her so I couldn't say anything at the beginning, but as soon as she started the service, I knew immediately that it was the same person. My full face felt rushed (not efficient, rushed), she never asked what I wanted to do with my eyebrows, had the wax too hot and went over certain spots more than three times, which isn't good. When she tweezed the remaining eyebrow hairs, I verbally expressed my pain because she got a chunk of skin instead of hair and she didn't apologize but said "I'll be done quick." My skin had patches of red and was inflamed when I left, which has never happened before. I still paid for my full service and the front desk person said she'd let the manager know, although I'm not sure what can be done now. EWC standards have definitely gone downhill unfortunately. read more

I was so disappointed by my visit here! I saw an ad saying free first wax and was excited to try it out but it was unfortunately a terrible experience. To start, right when I walked in the door the first woman I spoke too wasn't very friendly. She wasn't necessarily rude just was not welcoming at all for my very first visit. I ignored that and thought maybe she was having a bad day and moved on from it. I sat down and waited to be called back. A woman walked out from the back with another client and didn't say a word to me just kind if stared at me, then jerked her head toward the hallway as if to tell me to follow her. I then stand up and have to practically chase her down the hall to follow her to the room. No greeting at all she just tells me to come into this room and get undressed. While she was still in the room! I know it's kind of redundant to leave the room while you change and then come back in and be up in your business but it's nice privacy to have. I digress, I get undressed and lay on the bed, she begins waxing me. The wax is WAY too hot. I've had multiple Brazilian waxes but it's never felt this hot, felt as if it was burning my skin. I let her know and she told me wax was supposed to be hot. She carries on with the wax and does not speak to me the entire time, is very rough with the process as well. The wax is finished in about 7 minutes. I get changed, again in front of her, and proceed to follow her to the front to pay. Same experience as earlier. Not rude but hot friendly. I pay, tip, and leave. I get home and examine the area bc it was very red and inflamed, multiple hairs were missed, they do have a policy that lets you come back within a few days to fix it but I just didn't want to deal with the process and pain again. Overall very disappointed, I guess you do get what you pay for though. Will continue to go to my original wax studio in Everett and just pay more, the experience was a night and day difference. read more

I was waxed by carina and had the best wax I've ever had. It helps that I have been using their products and waxing regularly but carina was quick and thorough. She adjusted the wax temperature for me and made sure I was comfortable. 10/10 recommend read more

One of the WORSE wax I've ever gotten!!! It's been a month and I have the worse ingrown hair all over!! I don't know her name but the girl was not friendly, didn't make me feel comfortable at all, she did it in literally like 3 minutes. Didn't ask if I wanted any shape, didn't take the time to remove short hair with tweezers! Do not recommend!! There are small businesses where they actually care. This is super generic! Let me start by saying Ada-Faye does amazing work. It's difficult to find someone who can pull off being efficient at Brazilians. I've been too so many places trying to find someone who can provide a good service for Brazilians. Ada-Faye is definitely who you need to go see. On top of her skills she is always very personable, she has a great personality, and cares about your skin. In addition the products at European Wax are great, I've tried the ingrown hair serum and exfoliating gel and body polish, I've noticed a difference in my skin. This is definitely a facility that is really specializing in wax services the wax also feels like a lot less pulling from the skin which makes getting sensitive areas down a lot more manageable. read more

I was introduced to European Wax Center about a year ago when the Bellevue location opened. They specialize in waxing and have a proprietary blend of wax that they get from Spain. Hence, the name. The wax itself is shockingly blue yet very gentle on the skin. As it's a franchise, all the EWC locations share the same interior build-out: reception area out front with retail, glass door then a long hallway of treatment rooms. It makes it a little less personable but the good news is, once you get a prepaid package, you can go to any location in the continental US. I have only had Auria (pronounced Araya) at this location but she is friendly, professional, and gets the job done. I would say that she's not the most experienced waxer I've had but, from what I can tell from their soft opening in November to now, she is dedicated to mastering her craft. Note that you will have to disrobe in the same room as your waxer. And, they kinda push the retail hard. All that said, give them a try. First wax is free! read more

I'm thrilled that EWC is now in Washington. I had moved before they opened their WA location. Originally from Texas, I knew what I was missing during my PNW stay. I had an AMAZING service with Michelle. The difference between a technician that does their job and one who LOVES her job is evident. Michelle is friendly, funny, knowledgeable, fast and detail oriented. And let's be honest, we all want a waxiest that's a little OCD on finding all those little hairs. They claimed there was a 10 minute grace period for being late. I arrived exactly 10 minutes late due to my Uber arriving late and missing turns. They told me my appointment was canceled because it's actually a 9 minute grace period and I was one minute past that. After spending $65 on Uber to get here and back. Waste of my time and money. Really want to give this location another shot! I've been a long time patron of EWC from my time in FL and living across the US. I was going to the Bellevue location before Bothell opened and I want to love the Bothell location as much as I do the Bellevue one-- especially since it's 2 minutes from my house! My first time going to this location, I CLEARLY had a new waxer. It was painful and took 2x as long as it typically does. I scheduled my second time coming last week. They called me the day of to tell me they were closing early due to the snow-- wasn't much but not a problem so I rescheduled for this week. I was called 30 minutes prior to my appointment time and was told they we're running late and wanted to see if I could come 15 minutes past my initial appointment time. Again, not a huge deal so I said that was fine. Once I got there I had to wait another 20 minutes to be seen and the gal was VERY fast with me and did an ok job. Definitely not the best and not a ton of attention to detail. I will say the front desk ladies are great! They knew it was taking a while and offered for someone in training to wax me which I declined. Again, I'll give this another shot but I hope they can get it together to mirror the other locations a bit more!! read more

She was more than wonderful, did an EXCELLENT job with my bikini line wax and I will say it was the absolute least painful wax I've ever had! She made me feel at ease and walked me through everything she was doing which I really appreciate, and for a lot of people that communication is so important and valued. She was educated on the entire process and gave me recommendations for home care with corn starch instead of baby powder, who knew! Neither she nor the receptionist were pushy in the least about any sales or products or anything of the sort. She recommended I come in 4 weeks time for another wax due to the hair growth time, but said I was welcome to schedule whenever I felt comfortable. The Bothell studio is clean and modern and the receptionist was super friendly and inviting! I come to european wax center for the wax they use it doesn't bother my skin like other waxing but I will NEVER go to this location again. I specifically said do not shape my eyebrows and Ali totally changed the shape of my brow and shortened it and trimmed it. Took me years to get the shape I like back and bam she ruined it all. Then I got a Brazilian and she missed SO MUCH hair I didn't see until I got home. She wasn't even going to do the backside until I opened my legs. Almost like she was grossed out. Sorry but it's your job. She pushed the wax into my skin instead of across the skin and burned me and hurt me pretty bad. Can tell she he little to no experience. Got waxed before Hawaii and when I called and left a message NO RESPONSE and I didn't have time to go in before my trip. Extremely disappointed in service, care, and attitudes. If someone called me back and tried to make it right there would be no need for this review but EWC is usually great but seems they are using this pandemic as an excuse to not vet for talent or even qualified people. read more
