I showed one of the ladies there a type of design I would like to get done for my hand, and she was putting on the henna thick and it's not something I have seen with other people who did my henna. I've been coming to Brow Arc for years and, up until recently, I've always trusted them with my brows. The quality of their work is consistently good -- I've never left with bad eyebrows. That said, the customer service has really gone downhill, and it's made me reconsider returning. I purchased a prepaid membership (either 6 or 8 services -- I can't recall exactly), but at no point during the purchase was I told that I would need to present an ID to redeem those services. I only found that out during my next visit, which was frustrating and could've been easily avoided with better communication. There's also one specific lady who often does my brows -- I wish I remembered her name -- who consistently adds shading without asking or informing me. And during one visit, she applied lip oil directly to my lips without consent, which was concerning. I have no idea how sanitary that product is or who else it's been used on. To make matters worse, despite them being able to see I had a membership, I was still charged for a service I had already prepaid for. After spending over $50 on a package, I expected better transparency and accountability. Bottom line: the brow work itself is great, but the lack of communication, questionable hygiene practices, and sneaky charges make it hard to recommend without a warning. If you do come here, double-check everything you're being charged for and don't be afraid to speak up. read more

The lady kept pressuring products to us while my sister was getting her eyebrows done. It was the eyebrow gel, then lip oil, then pay for a membership and you'll save money. With eyebrow gel, she said it comes with a free eyebrow brush. The eyebrow brush is SO TINY. And she keeps talking and talking to pressure you to get the membership to save money. But what she doesn't tell you is that the membership is specific to the person who signed up for it and they will ask for your ID when you get your eyebrows done. The lady says the membership can be used at any Brow Arc, but the only other Brow Arc is in Irvine! Who is going to go all the way to Irvine?! My sister got the membership thinking that any member of my family can use it because it's linked to the phone number. I was sitting there when my sister purchased the membership and she said for me to get my eyebrows done. So the lady let my sister enter the phone number to sign in. But once my eyebrows were done, the lady tried to persuade me to get a membership and I said: Wait, I can't use my sister's membership? And she said: No, it only works for her. And I said: "Well you never said that!" I don't like how pushy she was and I don't like how she conducted business. read more

The lady kept on asking to see if we wanted to do something like shading and I finally stated in a full sentence "no, she just wants a clean up on her eyebrows." I stepped away to the restroom and upon coming back, my girl stated it really hurt and even shouted in agony as the lady threaded her. I noticed that my girl was cleaning her eyebrows so the lady didn't even help clean up the stray hairs that she just threaded. I noticed her eyebrows getting puffy and then the lady tried to sell "scent" packages that was "only" $5 which in my opinion should probably be only $1. Anyway I kept refusing and she kept prodding. Weirdest part about this was that the lady asked for my girl's ID... as though we put in someone's number to just get a free code. I prepaid that thank you very much. I felt like she was accusing us of being liars. Anyway, I had had about enough. Finally when my girl was done, we left and even said thank you. As I was leaving I asked how many are left on her number and she in a disgruntled tone said "3." If you don't believe me how much that lady hurt my girl, look at the photo. She showed me pictures of her previous customer. Told me if i noticed anything within 24 hours that I wanted fixed to let her know. Such great work and calm atmosphere. If I could give a 0 or negative star rating I would, my original eyebrow lady was Des and I thought she still worked there but the older lady said she doesn't anymore and stated she could do my brows really good and for some reason I agreed. I felt her keep threading my left brow more. I couldn't stop crying after I left I wish I gave her no tip. My left brow is shorter and super uneven. I'm sorry I don't remember her name. she was very friendly and made sure I liked them, even went over a spot I pointed out still had hair. my right eyebrow is a little uneven and there is still stray hair on both brows, honestly this is on me as she did ask me if there was still hair I'd like her to take off and I didn't say anything. BUT she scratched me pretty badly on both brows! I always come here for Refka and i always call beforehand to make sure she's there. However, it's been 6 times now that I call beforehand and they tell me she's there, i go, and shes not there. The is a woman who works there during the weekend that is awesome don't know her name but this one was there on a Tuesday evening. Great place for threading! I don't haven't had any issues with that... However, the last time I went I decided on a brow tint and honestly it was rough. It was completely the wrong shape of my brows and WAYYY too dark. It was like I used a marker to put on my brows. I wish I had a picture but it was honestly a little embarrassing. I asked to remove some of it and it barely changed. I didn't feel like being too troubling but I was dissatisfied with the job. I had to go home and scrub off a lot of the tint and reshape it myself. I'll give a thought out explanation as to why I gave this location 3 stars. There are many pros and cons to this place. I'll start off with the pros, well for one, it's open on sundays. Its upstairs near forever21 so you can park at forever21 and then go up the escalator and when your done you can go home. Now that's it for the pros. I went, I think maybe last weekend? I can't remember. But I asked for lip and eyebrow. And I had to tell this woman twice about hairs she was missing then when I got home I noticed she missed even more! And she ASKED me if I wanted aloe and I swear to god... she half assed that. I usually don't tip on the first service, just so I can tip THE NEXT TIME to see how well their service looks AFTER I get home. And I swear, there is only one girl who works here who is good at her job and isn't snobby or rude. And I usually look for her or ask for her but sometimes you don't have time to come in when they are there. They are fine. Not fantastic, not horrible. I'm fully aware of the COVID protocols and the struggles of business owners and employees. I fully follow the systems set it place, however, rude staff is not part of protocol. A friend and myself went in, I was told wait by the door and check in on my phone. TOTALLY OKAY. I checked in, I was up next. Finally my turn, my friend followed me in. Rude lady: "BOTH OF YOU?!" my friend replied "no just her, but" she was told to " No, go out! " My friend was going to inquire about their powder products. That didn't happen. Then I sat in the seat, the woman said nothing to me. I leaned back because I've done it before she huffs and says " you have makeup on" I said "yeah that's fine. If you could just clean my brows up to where they are filled in to maintain the shape. " took it upon herself to completely change the shape of my brow, not to mention the shapes are completely different from one another. she left sparse random hairs. 4 months of growing my brows out and she butchered them and didn't even think twice about it. she then told me, she wiped my makeup off and I needed to get them filled with powder. I told her no thank you I have make up with me to clean up. She proceeded to try to convince me to let her fill them. I'm assuming she wanted to cover up her horrible job. It took about 2 minutes to do my brows and the lack of effort and customer service was reflected in the outcome. LESSON LEARNED! read more

Horrible customer service! I put my name down at 6:40 pm (they close at 7) theirs 3 people ahead of me ... I come back 10 minutes after I put my name down which is 6:50 PM. I go in, sit down and I am told that they are taking no more people I explain to the lady that was working on a customer that I put my name down 20 minutes prior of them closing, and she said sorry we close at seven there's nothing I can do come back tomorrow! Yesterday, I stopped by to get a quick brow cleanup. I hadn't gone in a while since I had moved out of the area. The people there used to be excellent. Prior to starting, the lady never used a brush or even a disposable spoolie (for Covid purposes) to get an idea of a shape to see what to trim; not to mention that her method was extremely painful! I've been getting my brows threaded for the past ten years and never felt this much pain before. By the time the ordeal was over, my brows looked okay. I paid and then left. When I got into my car and looked at my brows in the sunlight, I realized the horrible job that was done. They aren't even arched well, nor are they tapered at the ends like I had requested. I would not recommend going there, nor will I return. The people working there are different, and this lady was not very well trained. I will actually be going to another brow place where I currently live and have them cleaned up. I should have gone there in the first place, but since I happened to be in Riverside and used to love getting my brows done there, I thought I would stop by. Never again! read more

Brow Arc is located inside of the Tyler mall, on the second floor on the forever 21 side. I love the attention to detail Bharti provides. The first time I came in I had really messed up brows because of a horrible job someone else did. I commented to Bharti that I was trying to grow my eyebrows out, she took a look at both brows and knew exactly where to thread and what areas needed to be left alone so they would grow out symmetrical. She has such a light hand when threading, which I love and so does my sensitive skin. When I go see her I just sit back and relax because I know she always does a great job.
