So my sister and I decided to dye our hair to celebrate her 21st birthday. We originally made appointments at a different salon but when we went they told us 1) they didn't have the colors we wanted and 2) since they only had 2 people working they could only work on us one at a time. My sister and I left feeling disappointed so I got on Yelp and thanks to all the reviews we called Carmen. For being a Saturday I was shocked when she told us to come in an hour! We arrived and as soon as we sat down they asked us if we would like some water or anything. They were very polite and helpful! I wanted highlights but I also wanted to dye my base color a different shade of brown. Anais was so helpful in letting me know what she was doing and tried to follow the picture I had taken to show her what I wanted. It was a long process but she never complained or tried to take short cuts but actually treated my hair better than I treat it. I had never cried over my hair like i did when i left here, today about two months later i finally feel confident in my hair again! I already had my hair girl in corona but moving to moval i decided on trying a place here, so i did... and it was the worst decision i have made in my life! They charged $250 for bearly and blonde in my hair and used a really high developer and ruined my hair, my hair hadnt curled at all untill two weeks ago! I had hesitated to post a review because the girls are actually very nice, but its ridiculous that i paid $250 for a very bad job and the offered to fix it but only did the bottom and honestly didnt make a difference. I just want to give you guys another 1000+ stars! Honestly amazing service & my hair came out amazing. I showed Cynthia a picture on what I wanted & she told me the truth that we wouldn't be able to do it in 1 try but that we could try to go as close as possible. I asked her is she could show me a picture & she did and I agreed to it and we started the process. It took almost 5 hours and honestly they had some patience . I had been contemplating on cutting a great length of my hair for a while so I went on yelp for guidance because I didn't know where to go to or who for that matter. I kept reading about Carmen and the good experiences people had with her (the pictures helped a lot ) so I decided I would go to her. I called about an hour before they closed to see if Carmen was there but I didn't think they would take me even if she was just because I would've gotten there around 6:30 and they close at 7. As a client of Royal Glamour for over two years now I can honestly say that this is one of the best salons. I have gotten my hair done mostly with Carmen & Cynthia once. My hair feels so soft and healthy even after it being colored & bleached. I seen many negative reviews with "over pricing" but you honestly get what you pay for. You can spend less and get it done but your hair won't feel the same as if you got it done with Carmen. She'll even throw in a free treatment if she thinks your hair will need it. Carmen will even do a consultation with you prior to your appointment to see if you'll need treatments & let you know an estimated price. I just moved into the area and starting school at UCR in a month. I needed a haircut and some highlights so I came here because of the high rating plus they had no wait and no appointment needed! I actually wanted to go to Qi Salon but I called 3 times and they were pretty busy and booked and insist I make an appointment so I gave up and came here! They were SO nice to me UNTIL my highlights did not come out as I wanted so when I ask them to fix it... ATTITUDE ! WOW... I would rather have green hair. This review is 100% detailed TRUTH. I just moved from LA to Moreno Valley (over an hour drive) so when searching for a good salon, I just yelped a salon in my area that had good reviews. I called "Royal Glamour" and spoke with Carmen who said she was completely booked, so she scheduled me with Alejandra. I wish I never walked in there. I had an ombre that had turned slightly green and wanted it re done. I wanted a white/silver ombre with my natural hair at the top. (My natural hair is a very light brown/dirty blonde) I told Alejandra what I wanted but made a point that if going that light in one shot would fry my hair, DO NOT DO IT. She said okay and seemed like she knew what she was doing so I trusted her. Instead of teasing my hair (which (99.9% of salons do, when doing an ombre) she just started putting my hair in foil with bleach by the piece. I thought that was weird but I didn't say anything because I figured that she's a professional right? WRONG. The result was that my hair was COMPLETELY FRIED and there was several HUGE CHUNKY BLEACHED LINES IN MY HAIR. I pointed this out to Alejandra and she said "I don't see any lines." I showed Carmen and she just told Alejandra to put some of my "natural color" over the bleach to blend it better. SO, after spending over 3 hours in there, and after Alejandra "fixing" it, there was STILL huge chunky lines in my hair. I showed Carmen and she said that all I was seeing was the transition in my hair from one color to the next and that all ombre's look like that. Like if I didn't know what a GOOD ombre looks like. At that point I was fed up and wanted to leave. I asked to pay and they wanted to charge me $135. I respectfully stated that I didn't feel comfortable paying that price for something that was not what I wanted. Carmen said "Well, thats what the price is." I tried telling her that I didn't want to take advantage of anyone or get anything for free, but I was REALLY unhappy with my hair. She just told me that they could fix it, but why would I let them anywhere near my hair again!? She insisted that the price was $135 and I just said "Well, I can pay you something, or I can pay you nothing." She said "Well thats on your conscience." I again told her I did not want to take advantage and would at least like to pay for the products used. She then snapped and said "You know what, thats fine, we don't need it." So I left without paying. I went straight to Sally's beauty supply to try to find an intense repair conditioner to try to save my hair. Before going into "Royal Glamour" my hair (although slightly green at the ends) was HEALTHY and LONG. My hair is literally falling out now. I don't understand how anyone could blatantly refuse to acknowledge that a mistake was made. The lines in my hair are OBVIOUS and it even looks like cheetah print in some places where the bleach wasn't spread evenly. It looks HORRIBLE. Amazing place! I love how Carmen takes her time to do my hair and to always listen to what I want. I appreciate the fact that she doesn't rush you always has time in between customers and makes you feel like a priority. My highlight where orange and the color was not so pretty but my hair is lighter and better. She's has an amazing hair mask that is the best product I have tried on my hair. Very disappointed with this salon. I saw all the reviews and thought I would try this place out. All I needed was a trim. When I got to the place I asked if they did eyebrows as well. The woman said she did, she was an older Hispanic woman. So she first washes and conditions my hair then says she will wax my eyebrows before starting the trim. As she was waxing I noticed that she continued to keep waxing and plucking from the middle of my eyebrows above the bridge of my nose. All I wanted was a cleanup so it bothered me that she was so focused on removing hair from that area. I asked if I could look at what she was doing and noticed that she had removed quite a bit of hair from the left eyebrow. I told her not to take anymore from the center and that all I wanted was her to cleanup the hair that has grown not to try and reshape my brows. She said ok but once again continued to do otherwise. I stopped her told her not to do anymore with my brows because I did not like what she was doing. I said can we just do the trim on my hair. She was then very rude with me and said that I seem to be a very picky person and what if I don't like the trim. I said all I'm asking for is a very simple trim, are you implying you want me to leave because I don't like the way you were trying to wax my eyebrows. She said yea, maybe I am. So with my hair drenching wet I got up from the chair and left. The service was absolutely horrendous and her attitude was inexcusable. After calling many salons to take my daughter and I on the same day for a mother-daughter hair and dye treatment, I was disappointed that no one could take us both. One said that she had an opening March the 3rd...I understand that salons get busy but those places will never get my business. I called Royal Glamour and was told to come in so they could look at my daughters hair. We got there and was told they could do both our hairs the same day, mind you it was passed 1:00. The ladies there were so nice. I want to give a loud shout out to Carmen and Joana. All the ladies here were very polite and accommodating. You could tell by the way they treat their customers that they care not only for their business but especially their customers. If there were 10 stars, this place would get it. Whoever said they were overpriced could not be more wrong. I called many salons, and for the service that I got, it came out much cheaper than I expected, even with the tip I gave, I still came out ahead. If I could give no stars, I would. I was recommended here by a friend. I made an appointment with Carmen to tone my hair and add a little more blonde. I showed Carmen a picture of something I wanted my hair to resemble, she decided my hair would look better lighter. When she was applying the dye, she had big chunks of hair, which seemed like she was rushing through my hair to get with another appointment. Once she was done I sat under the dryer for what felt like an hour. She then rinsed my hair and toned it. I went back to her hair and she began to blow dry my hair and SO MUCH fell out. My hair was breaking so bad. Safe to say it was completely over processed. She styled it by waving it with a flat iron. When she was finished I was on the verge of tears. She was telling me how much she charged for everything as she was ringing me up and my total came to about $170. My stomach dropped. This was way to expensive for what I received. I hated my hair which I had to cut short because it was so damaged. I would stay far far away from this place. Overpriced and they do what they want to your hair!! Do not recommend. read more

I'n torn in writing this review because the girls are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Problem is that the work product is awful. I was a walk in for highlights touch up on partial. I already had highlights, I was going in because my hair had grown out. I just moved to the area so i was looking for a place to have my hair done that is local. Needless to say I went in there, left disappointed, went again ask for a correction and i was still disappointed. Ended up coloring my hair a solid color myself due to the horrible job that had been done for $90. The stylist made my weave in highlights into chunks on the side which is not what i asked for. She also did not even do the same amounts of "chunks" on one side as the other side of my hair. To top it off there was a chunk of hair where it was literally a patch of hair different color on the crown of my head. Just pulling my hair was so embarrassing. read more

The drive to South Bay is quite far so went to Yelp and searched for a hairstylist in Moreno Valley. I read a lot of mixed reviews from many hair salons in the area. Finally, I decided to take a chance and made an appointment with Carmen, owner of Royal Glamour. While making an appointment with her on the phone, I explained that I needed a haircut and explained my preferences. Brought samples with me and on the day of my cut, I walked in quite nervous. Carmen and her staff were friendly and attentive. Carmen listened and made some suggestions. She made me feel good and I left her salon happy. Got a few nice comments at work which normally, some never take noticed. I finally found my new hairstylist and it's just in my neighborhood.
