I learned that there is a "drive by" service for hair coloring (regular colors I believe) where Alisia throws the color on, and you process and rinse off at home. Pretty creative thinking ! I went in for a hair trim and conditioning treatment, Alisia even showed me how I can replicate the service at home. I had my mom with me and she was very sweet with her, and carried a nice conversation. In addition, she gave me some helpful tips in hair care. Her seat is never empty it seems as she is very efficient in handling multiple clients with multiple services. Everything is clean and the other stylists seem friendly and not pretentious, another big plus. It's just welcoming and down to earth. Most importantly, I love the haircuts I get for extremely reasonable prices ($35! for my short/medium hair). Yesterday I got my eyebrows tinted and waxed and Alisia did a fantastic job. I plan to have her do some color at some point, because I know she is a color genius. This is now the second time I have experienced significant eyelid ptosis following injections from Brenda. Both times, I have had to wait for the effects to wear off, which can take months. The heaviness in my eyelids has affected my vision and has been accompanied by severe headaches, bruising, and significant eyelid heaviness. This most recent time, I received 50 units of an alternative botulinum toxin for $500. I had previously experienced ptosis with Brenda and had specifically expressed that I was hesitant about receiving too much toxin at one time. Despite this, she proceeded with the 50 units. I would have much preferred having a smaller amount administered withgreater precision. This most recent time, I received 50 units of an alternative botulinum toxin for $500. I also received injections into my platysma bands in my neck. The treatment appears visibly uneven, with more product seemingly affecting one side than the other. When I initially asked about this, I was told that 10 units had been used on each sideAfter noticing the ptosis, I contacted Brenda and went back to the office so she could see the effects firsthand. She took photographs, apologized, and provided me with two eye-drop samples. She also called in a prescription for eye drops intended to help open my eyes. I appreciate that she took the time to evaluate me and provide thosemeasures, but unfortunately, I am now left having to wait for the toxin's effects to wear off. The timing is particularly upsetting because I have an important family event next week that I had been looking forward to and wanted to feel confident for. Instead, I am now dealing with an appearance that does not feel like myself and hoping my eyesimprove in time. When I returned and discussed my concerns about the ptosis, I also asked whether she would be willing to make a small adjustment to my neck to improve the noticeable asymmetry. She declined to add even a small amount to balance the area and indicatedthat I would need to pay again. Given that I had already experienced the same complication twice with this injector, I was very disappointed by that response. I started going to her in 2006ish from a recommendation as she had just moved to Reno and I lived here for University. I've done so many things to my hair over the years and she has always been game and done a remarkable job on taking my vision and making it happen! Even when I needed a bit of fine tuning to get the result. Let's just say after Moving back to the area I'm thrilled to go back and have a bit of fun with a new look! The location is central to Reno in the old southwest area on the corner of Plumas and Plumb. Always enough parking. My sister-in-law also sees a nail technician that does a really fantastic job.
