My previous extensions (not with this business). always lasted almost 3 weeks! I do not know if it is a different adhesive or they were placed incorrectly, but I have never had my extensions shed this much in the past. I brush them gently in the morning and use care with them in the shower. This is a pricey service and while I know they need to be filled on a regular basis, thinning out in less than a week is unacceptable.

I had an appointment with Mavis who is the owner of the salon with her daughter. My appointment was at 1pm but I showed up around 1245pm just to give myself enough time. I was surprised that she was able to take me back sooner than my appointment. She has a nice selection of OPI gel colors. The whole salon is beautiful and very clean. I can tell Mavis is very careful and particular-she had on gloves and a mask. She was super sweet and did an excellent job. The studio is quiet which I like! Some studios are so loud and busy but this was actually a relaxing experience for me. I used a Groupon without any issues. I will definitely be back. As far as the complaints go about only making an appointment online, that's just the way it goes. A lot of people do it and to me it's easier for me with my lifestyle. Her shop is beautiful and very well maintained. I had an appointment at 6PM on a Friday, and she had a client before me, but was spot on with my appointment time. Gotta love that! The color I chose was new to Mavis, so she hadn't used it at all. The actual finished product turned out very pretty overall. Some streaks and lumpy areas, but not noticeable. The polish ended up coming off 4 days later...today. So the thing is....Mavis is a hard working woman and I admire her for keeping such a neat shop, putting up with people all day long, being so nice and outgoing, and honoring appointment times. She is a one woman show, and doing a great job. I was a little unhappy about my polish...but...it was a new polish...maybe she wasn't so familiar with it...and I just liked her. So I will definitely give her another chance. Everyone deserves one.
