Brow Mantra needs to do better. They make up their own hours. Even though the hours on the front door says they close at 5 pm, they close whenever they want. One week ago, I showed up at 4 pm and they were closed. Today, I show up at 3 pm and they were closing. They couldn't help out one last customer. Came in on Sunday on a whim... it has been sooo long since I've dealt with my face caterpillars.. I had been to this place previously and didn't really like the job the lady had done, but I needed to freshen up for an upcoming event. I was surprised to see a man in here and I almost walked back out... but I decided to be adventurous. Mo, the guy waiting inside, was Ahhhh-mazing. I ended up doing a full face threading... which usually is quite painful and feels like I'm getting my face rubbed with sandpaper... but Mo has the gentlest technique- the best I've ever experienced! I could see (and feel!) that he was taking his time as he threaded delicate areas. And he even applied a face mask after and massaged in the treatment... it was like a mini spa treatment... and he was patient- my 4yo was with me and he handled my little menace like a seasoned dad... Moe did an excellent job on my brows. I decided to give this place a try after getting my nails done next door and I'm happy I did. I have thick naturally shaped eyebrows and when I go to get them done they always make them too thin. But moe listened to my requests and threaded them exactly how I like them. My normal eyebrow place has been closed because of COVID. I happened to drive by and see that Brow Mantra was open! I've been here twice during the pandemic. They spray and wipe down the chair, give you sanitizer, and only allow 2 customers inside at a time. My only con is that it is a bit pricey than my normal place. Totally shady. I gave them my completed stamp card to redeem my discount, she had the nerve to tell me it was expired, even though they had been stamping it all year. In fact, the last date redeemed was a couple months ago. But now that it was full, she said it was no good and I needed a new one. If that was the case - tell me when I come in every 3 weeks and give me a new one, don't keep stamping my "expired" one. Actually I'm glad my punch card is done, cause she totally butchered my brows. asked for them to be shaped.. ended up with super thin high arch, really tacky. I'm done with this place. read more

I'm sad to say I think I've had my last service here. Indu was my go-to and I was told she would not return (Indu if you come back, let me know!). Disappointed, but loyal, I came back twice. The new brow artist made a nice shape but the process was painful that I was left with a scab under my brow that was visible for a week. I returned today. Same artist, even more painful. When I told her to be gentler, she was dismissive. And then I shared the scab, and then she relaxed. I just wanted out of the chair. The shape wasn't cleaned but I didn't care. Perhaps in a few months I'll try again. For now, I'm good on brow mantra. read more

I was in town for a wedding and realized to my dismay that my brows were totally out of hand. Luckily I found this place! I called ahead to be sure they were available, and when I walked in they were very friendly and able to take myself and my friend for brow threading right away. They asked what I wanted, which was a shape up - I said I wanted a bit more arch but that I liked to keep my brows thick - and they delivered. The woman doing my brows even gave me a nice relaxing massage after, and my brows weren't red by the time I left! It's always nerve wracking finding a brow place outside of your hometown, but you can trust these ladies to do right by you for sure. read more

I have been to many different eyebrow salons for waxing or threading. This place is my favorite. The atmosphere is always welcoming and very very clean. I usually go through the week but on occasion I have gone on Friday of Saturday. Through tbt week there is never a wait and on weekends barely a wait. They are very fast and efficient. Whenever I tell them how I want my eyebrows they are always perfect. A month ago I decided to let my eyebrows grow completely back so I could reshape them. When I went in and showed her a picture of what I wanted she did just that. I love that they also give a stamp card to earn discounts and free visits. I really loved Brow Mantra. They do a phenomenal job. The management is super nice. They always offer me tea or bottles of water. I'm sad to say that I stopped going here because one threader was incredibly rude to me everytime. I think management should know this person is shockingly mean-spirited. It made me super uncomfortable to go there. I"m sad because I loved this place. It never failed. She was continuously in a bad mood. I would try to make small talk with her and be super nice. She continuously lectured me for using tweezers to get my stray hairs each time. She would tell me that my eyebrows were different sizes (they weren't)! She assumed that I thought that she was Tina ( a really nice lady that worked there prior to her) and yelled at me for that once. Last time I was there, she pointed out my breakout on my face. She continuously made rude comments about my face the entire time! I started going elsewhere since I do not want to feel like I'm burdening someone paid to do their job. Neeti turned me out. A long time ago, when threading just started getting popular, my friends would always coax me and my shitty eyebrows to get them done. Each time, I cried. The procedure was painful, and I do not know why. I have waxed my eyebrows plenty times before and I preferred it over threading, and didn't understand how people loved it so much. But now, I understand. It's miracle workers like Neeti that has me joining the masses in threading love. She's gentle. I was ready to cry again when she got to work on me, but I almost freaking giggled because I was so shocked. The eyebrow threading was pain-free. The upper-lip threading, pain-wise, was a bit more irritating than painful but it was there, and she let me know if I was getting uncomfortable that I could tell her to stop. However there was no need and she finished without any problems. Her work is very thorough, she takes her time and makes sure she gets everything, and that you are happy with the results. I used to go to Tina here, but when she started back at school I was placed in the hands of Indu and Neha, two amazing gals that do fabulous work. You tell them what shape you're looking to achieve and they will help make it happen. Called in to make sure there was no wait, and they were honest enough to say that at the moment there wasn't (hate it when they lie). Tina took care of me, was gentle and very quick. I have had my eyebrows threaded by many different places however, this was a first for me..a little mini face masage on the areas where I was threaded. Tina was very sweet. The place was very clean and neat, and the price was not bad at all. Oh and they have a stamp card system. Fourth stamp is a free lip threading and the eight is a free eyebrow threading! read more

I wouldn't recommend, I have scabs around my eyebrows. I've never had that happen getting my brows threaded, but this was my first time here. I've been coming here to get my eyebrows done for over a year. I went in today to get my normal clean up and to keep my brows thick how I like them. The woman that assisted me in doing my brows did not listen! She literally took off more than half my eyebrows. Then she proceeded to blame it on her being hungry. She told me she usually works out of the Irvine area and was only there to cover. I do love this place but I will never go if I ever see her there again. Ive been coming here for 2 years. Now, I think you can can go to any old threading salon to get your eyebrows done ( at least for me since im not that particular about my brows, already have a good shape). The way you can tell that the place is awesome, or at least that your threading tech is good, is when you get your full face threaded with minimal pain. Yes, I have my full face threaded (brows, upper lip, chin, cheeks, sides) this whole process takes about 20 to 30 mins. What can I say, I love being baby faced. It takes a special technician to make this whole process as comfortable as possible. My girl Indu is the best! She has the lightest hand, just the smallest amount of pressure. Believe it or not the eyebrows is the least painful of the whole process. Ive had my face threaded at other salons but what sets this place apart is: -They have face wipes for you to remove your make up. - Indu, cuz shes awesome. - Once all the hair is threaded, a cold towel is placed on your face. This feels so good. - You get a mini face massage. Rubbing a combo of lotion/toner around your face.. and doing pressure points around your temples and cheek bones. I've yet to see any of the technicians be rude to anyone. Yes some of them have a heavier hand than others. For those that say that it's painful to get your brows threaded...all I have to say is that's a walk in the park compared to getting your whole face done. Is it uncomfortable? Yes, you are after all getting your hair pulled out, but pain also depends on the person. For anyone getting their face done, remove makeup, please opt out of getting the lotion placed on your face.... just ask for toner. Ive found that this cuts down the chances of break outs...also go home and wash your face, apply astringent... and resist touching or scratching your face (yes, it will be itchy). Not sure how much brows cost, but full face is $25 which is comparable to other salons. They also have a stamp card, once filled you get a discount. Easy parking, big of plus! read more

Ive gone through so many threading salon's, and I had finally had found one in Costa Mesa that I liked. It was just a bit too far and a little too expensive, and they were on the verge of raising the price. Then the best thing happened, I found Brow Mantra and I met Tina!!! Their prices are incredibly reasonable, they're close and Tina is great! Very soft spoken and she knows what she's doing! She reshapes your brows whether you hacked them yourself or someone else did. After that she gives this little brow massage that feels amazing, til she squishes your head haha, i had to ask her not to do that because it kinda hurt, but it came from a good place! I go there once a week now to see Tina. ***Another upside is they do this great coupon thing where if you get a certain amount or threading done to you get a free lip threading and one other one that I cant remember*** GO SEE TINA!!! read more
