Threading can be very painful. I was very lucky to find Indu here. She is very gentle, and her threading hardly hurts at all. I'm not sure why it's different with different people. My eyebrows are a little on the crazy side, long and little scars that can make it difficult to shape my eyebrows. Indu went over what she planned to do for me before she started, which I appreciated, and then you get your relaxing head massage after it's all over. :) read more

Not good at all...I came here once before and was pleased with my brows so I decided to come back again. I really wish I hadn't, I came in on a Saturday morning and left with a small bleeding cut on my temple and another above my right eyebrow and then work up the next morning with several little bruises on my eyelids. I noticed while I was being threaded that it seemed to be a bit more painful than the last time but figured I was just sensitive that day, boy was I wrong. I did call the next day just to let them know what happened (I figure if you don't say anything nothing will change) the girl on the phone was somewhat sympathetic and said she would speak to the manager but didn't apologize or take my phone number. read more

I come here regularly. Used to get them waxed and dyed at a salon in Naples for $40 until she removed half my brow. Now I come here. They do a better job and it costs much less. The first day after a dye job is always a little scary while the skin around the brows is still dyed but after a couple days it looks great. read more

I started going here just to get my upper lip and the space between my eyebrows done. I was very hesitant to have anyone work on my eyebrows because I liked how my eyebrows were naturally shaped and defined, and was worried any manipulation would make it look fake/tacky. Indu assured me that she would be able to clean up my eyebrows naturally and "not make it any thinner." Those were KEY words, and she definitely kept her promise! It still looked natural and full, just really cleaned up, professional, and soft/feminine. I'm also not the best at the upkeep - and she cleaned them in a way that didn't look horrible when it grew out. I frequently visit Indu, but recently had another woman (first chair on the right) shape my eyebrows. Both women are very friendly and PROFESSIONAL and attentive!! I've been to places where they treated you like another faceless customer - or I've even had a woman talk on her cell phone while threading me! These women are meticulous and work hard to give customers what they want. I love this place, the employees, and the price! read more

Uh ohhhh spaghetti o's. I went to Brow mantra to have my brows threaded and left out never to return again. My threader took waaay too much off my inner corner left eyebrow. One of my worst threading experiences in regards to shaping. She got all the tiny hairs below the brow line, but not I have a gap in my brow. NO BUENO. I'm not the type to get loud and obnoxious...I just don't go back and hop on yelp! read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for quite a few years now. I've split my time up between Ziba beauty in Littile India, which would create the perfect lines and arches, and iSalon in Long Beach which was much cheaper. However, I was looking for a combination of the two and somewhere close to me. Finally, I saw the ad in Clipper Magazine and decided to give it a try. At the other places I used to go to, the staff did not make me feel very welcomed and it felt as if I was being snubbed or bothering them as they read their magazines. But at Brow Mantra, the staff was very friendly, smiling, and offering refreshments while I waited. I did wait about fifteen minutes, but the artist that was there was taking her time with each client. That being said, there was only 1 artist when I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon, so luckily I wasn't really in a rush. When it was my turn, my artist (I forgot her name but it started with an R) listened to exactly what I wanted. And she definitely delivered! Some artists I've had can tend to hurt, but she quickly and efficiently removed the hair. As always, I cry during every threading, but I promise this was the least painful. After, my artist gave my brows a little massage to help ease the incessant throbbing. They also offer a stamp card with a free lip threading every 4th visit and free eyebrow threading every 8th visit. For a lip and brow service, I would say this is a $12 well spent! read more

I love Brow Mantra! They do a perfect job every time I go in, and let me tell you, they have their work cut out for them with my brows. I have tried everything for my brows.. plucking (too painful and I dont do self-inflicted pain), waxing (leaves my brows bright red, swollen, broken out, and peeling for WEEKS), and even the new craze sugaring, which is supposedly gentler than waxing, but really i had the same results as waxing. THREADING, although somewhat painful, is THE best option for me! Not to mention it is way cheaper than waxing and sugaring. The best part is i dont leave red, swollen, broken out and peeling. Hallelujah! Indu always threads my brows. She is so sweet, and is awesome at shaping and really listens to what you want. I even trusted them to do my brows right before my wedding and they came out GREAT!!! I will continue getting my brows threaded here. Couldn't recommend them more. read more

Don't let the outside of this place fool you... the staff is extremely rude and does not care about customer service... you will sit in a chair with no one asking you if you are being helped... the staff also makes racist remarks... I used to drive from long beach to los angeles every 2 weeks for eyegbrow threading and when that lady left the country I was left in the cold. These people have excellent customer service. I've been going there for about 4 months. I have had cheaper in Cerritos but it's just not convienient for me. The staff actually ask you how you want your eyebrows and they are very attentive to what it is you want. They give you a mirror too to make sure you are happy with the end results. Indu is my favorite. She is so sweet. She's fast but good, very good. She's been growing out my eyebrows and I have had a total transformation. From thin with no arch to thicker with a nice clean arch. Couldn't be happier. Customer service is good, the staff has always been welcoming and kind. I've been coming to this threading salon for about 2 years. The threading is good. When I go there is usually not a wait and the women here remember me (this is always nice). The salon is clean and well kept. The best part of the service is the eyebrow massage at the end. They also do NAILS here too. There are rooms in the back that nail technicians rent out. After coming here for so long, one day I found a flyer that said they do nails. I went to the back to check it out to find a lady by the name of Christine. I told her that I was interested in getting gel nails. I told her that the gel nails that I usually get from local nail salons usually last for a week. I'm tend to be hard on my nails. She insured me that it would be different. I definitely had my doubts. She said I can try it and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have to pay. So, I tried it and she was right. Christine does the real "gel nails" not the short cut version I was getting at the other salons. My gel nails last me 3 weeks. She can also do designs that are really cute. Christine also has a frequent stamp card. I also had my pedicure done by her that is so much more better than other pedicures I've had. She does such a great job that it last for a month. Her room and tools are extremely clean. I've never seen anyone who is so concern about what is best for her customers and the cleanliness of the tools. Don't let her prices fool you. You pay for quality when you come here. Try it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'm new to the area and I needed my brows and upper lip done desprately. Found this place on yelp and when I walked in. I was impressed. It looked very nice, clean, organized, and the waiting area very comfortable. I sat waiting for my turn.. So as I sat down on the hot seat. Everything was smooth then she was almost done she filled in my brows & I went about my day satisfied. Though the next day with no makeup, cleared of every product, I noticed my brows were uneven/thiner than the other one. Also noticed I broke out above my upper lip & it was not one or two blemishes. I normally go to a Ziba but i was in the area and needed a quick threading. There was no wait, the lady was super nice and professional, and i was done in less than 5 min. This place is clean and super convenient with plenty of parking in a small quiet plaza. The prices are very competitive to Ziba and they have a $2 off Yelp deal. It was a great experience. read more
