I live in south florida over 10 years and I never thought I will experience something like that. First we pay 1000$ cash plus 200$ tip for 4 hours fishing trip (next time I will use only amex to have some backup when You screw on service) Boat starts leaving dock at 8am and we was swimming like 30-40 min because 2 draw bridges were close and then we saw outlet to open ocean but not so fast because they using your time to go to marine 15 min further to get a bait for us. So we booked 10 days before boat and they can not prepare fishing bait just running 15-30 min extra to buy it. No we know that we dealing with scammers or amateurs. After 9am we are hitting outlet to open ocean. The guy "star" I call him that because he was running the show.He setup 4 rods ( our group was 6) and if fish catch he took rod and check if fish is hooked so then let You fish. The main problem was that he could manage just 1 rod so we have to take rod by 1 person and next person wait till next rod has fish. we catch few bonitos. My wife was second in line so when "star" call her to start reeling but was another problem my wife is left handed and need use 2 hands to use reel because every reel was for right. After trip she told me to not be mad that the "start" disqualified her because she cant use 2 hands so my wife was out!! After 30-45min they decide to catch fish which You can take home previously fish was just for fun and free bait for captain. They said we gonna fish from bottom of ocean. This was the worst experience in my life because You ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FISH only STAR has 1 rod all group has to watch how he fish. All roads was secured to not fish no hooks. So the guy "STAR" was all time fishing playing have fun and all our group was watching like in movie theater. As soon he catches fish he bring closer and then ask is someone wants bring already hooked tired fish too boat. WTF 1200$ for watching 1 person have fun fishing putting bait on hook and have the best experience when fish attack your bait and then just pass You rod with catches tired fish I think is pure SCAM I was 6th number but when they banned my wife from fishing I decide also to pass my fight with reel to my friends kid! If I will be know (which is lie I fishing from many boat and they never tell my wife You cant fish because You left hand) I will never go if for 6 people You allowed to watch guy with 1 rod. This is pure scam. My fiancee volunteered to drive and tag along and when we arrived in the late afternoon, the beach was empty of people but packed with washed up seaweed on the shore. I was a bit hesitant at first but decided to go in since I was there already. It was a horrible idea. When I got out of the water, the water was salty, seaweed all on my hair, and my body itchy from god knows what. I walked a long distance to the building where they had shower stalls and only then I felt somewhat normal. Besides my experience today, this is a nice beach to go to because they also have fishing pier and a nice restaurant. Let me know what you thought of this beach if you ever trying it out!

It was around 10am on Saturday when we stopped by because we were in the area, and we had no idea there would be a cost. From what I could see, it is a nice pier, and you would definitely get some good pictures out there, and of the city. There's a quarterdeck right in front which opens at 11am, it's smaller than most, so I can imagine how packed it must become, especially for its location! I was really bummed about not being able to go onto the pier.

Lewis Landing Park in Ft. Lauderdale has quite an amazing history. Archaeological items relating to…read morethe Tequesta including animal bones, pottery shards,and shells were found in the park in 2010 indicating a village was here from 800 to 1200 A.D.. The Tequesta were Native Americans who lived along the New River for at least 5,000 years. They used dugout canoes to travel the river from the Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean. When Spain claimed Florida there were thousands of Tequesta but by the time they gave Florida to England in 1763 there were less than 300 left having been wiped out by disease and sold as slaves to Cuba. The park is named for the Lewis family who came from the Bahamas in 1792 and settled on the banks of the New River. They lived on a farm growing coconuts, guava, limes and oranges until 1824. It was believed that their farm served as a way station for the British who were trying to subvert Spanish control. In 1830, Frankee Lewis now a widow sold the land for $400. Ten years ago the park was a vacant residential property. It has now been turned into a river front park with gazebos, a jogging path, a fishing dock, an observation deck, park benches, picnic tables, and a water fountain. The only drawback to the park is that parking is extremely limited with one car parking spot and one handicapped. On January 24, 2015 a statue of a Tequesta Indian sculpted by artist Nida Comas was added to the park. Plaques on the pedestal of the statue provide information about the Tequesta people who are now extinct. This beautiful park is the perfect place to exercise, enjoy a picnic,or just take in the beautiful water view. It is also a wonderful place to sit and contemplate the people who came before us who once canoed down the waterways.

The staff member was great, very informative and very helpful. He explained a few things of importance before we left the dock. I have 20+ years boating experience, so I was a quicker learner on the boat controls than most. We hit the water and toured around the inter coastal for a bit, then hit the open water. It was windy and rough outside the cruise port so we opted to return to calmer waters. We drove around and found a cool little sandbar and docked there for the rest of the day and had fun swimming and eating. There was even a food boat on the water that would bring food right to your boat. Think floating food truck. Overall the day was great, the rental boat was great, the weather was great and the staff and location was great. I would most definitely rent a boat from 100 Pro Boats again next time I'm in south Florida.

His boat was perfectly maintained and in pristine condition. He gave us the instructions, and kept them thorough yet simple to understand. He gave us great recommendations, for places to stop and things to see and he was so friendly to my two children. You can tell Michael is a wealth of knowledge about the area and he is very passionate about what he does. I knew we were in great hands and I couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. They used all different methods of fishing, some of which we never even heard of! So that was very interesting! When we first got there, there was a guy on the boat and we were trying to figure out which boat we were on. My son pointed out that the the guy was "definitely less than thrilled to see us." Then once we figured out which boat we were on and got on, he was SUPER nice. Fast forward 8 hours (we had an 8 hour charter). I gave both the captain and mate what I thought was a very generous tip. Well the Mate was VERY vocal about his total displeasure in the amount of the tip. Keep in mind I just spent $1,675 on the trip, $1,850 to have my Son's shark mounted, $350+ for a hotel, so my budget was stretched pretty thin, but I still managed to give them a great tip. But unfortunately it very clearly wasn't nearly enough. Thank you Marlin My Darlin, but we'll definitely do some research and look for a different charter company next time.
