Got a Groupon for the whole family. 3 year old, 12 month and 14 month old. All the pirates were hilarious and did a wonderful job hosting us for our pirate adventure. One of my nephew's favorites that we have done twice now is the Bluefoot Pirate Adventures. I highly recommend going with the Junior Pirate Pack that includes an eye patch, bandana, and sword! Christian felt like a real pirate. Their whole staff is fantastic. Even from the start in the parking lot when they are sharing the rules they made it fun. They gave all of the kids temporary tattoos and they helped them with their bandanas. Once aboard the ship they have a whole routine as we embark on a treasure hunt. They even have a tour for the adults if you sit towards the captain. Being that C is smaller I sat closer to him. Plus, it was really fun to see the adventure through his eyes. Probably the best part of the whole thing was the pirate fight. The kids got to shoot water cannons and had a blast. We've been twice this year and C wants to go again. Since it was his birthday they let my son interact a lot with different activities. Not only were the kids having fun but the parents as well. There was a good balance of keeping the kids entertained but also the adults with sharing the history of the houses we sailed by. We were running a little late & the staff called to see if we were still making it which I greatly appreciate because places don't usually do that! Very fun activity! It is a bit pricy for this only being an hour cruise, and I think we actually were only out 45 minutes, so my only feedback would be to make sure we get a full hour. But from the moment you step on the dock the crew makes you feel like you are a pirate! My 4 year old son thought it was amazing! I definitely recommend buying one of their swag packages. SO GLAD WE DID THIS!!! The kids loved it and we really enjoyed it as well. Captain Black Sparrow was great! (Even though he tried to trade me to the enemy pirate for the key to the treasure chest haha) The kids loved the water cannons and being able to spray all the passing boats. The kids are able to get tattooed and face painted before it starts, which is great, but I would recommend using a more washable face paint as I have tried several things to remove it and some of it is still on their face the next day. But that's only a minor inconvenience as the fun and experience of it all made it well worth it. read more

Though for children, I had a good time as you are never too old to have a happy childhood. As they say: "entire crew is dedicated to bringing a swashbuckling good time to your whole crew," and it's done in a very engaging interactive way. Lasting just over an hour and priced around $30.00 it's a real bargain and sure to delight your kids and you too. I suggest arriving early and getting your kids some pirate bandanas, maybe an eyepatch or a sword. I found this gem online and the reviews were good. So I decided to go and give it a try. The first time I went I brought my two sons. It was a rainy day and we still went out. Supposed to be light rain turned into a terrible downpour. Not the crews fault. The captain was very apologetic and the crew was very helpful with getting everyone back safely. They were very prompt on refund/rebooking. I was called writhing 10 minutes of leaving with my options. I choose to rebook. We went back this weekend and man without the rain it was a blast. All the kids and parents were included the whole journey. The captain was telling us cool random facts about the houses on the marina. This place is perfect for your little ones! I came here for my daughter's 5th birthday along with her cousins. Definitely let them know if you're celebrating a birthday. They'll even sing happy birthday while you're on the boat and make your little one feel special. The staff is very nice and helpful. Our family went today to celebrate my son's 6th birthday and we had a wonderful experience. The kids were excited and the staff kept their characters throughout the trip. Captain Kraken, Captain Black Sparrow, Skinny Pete and Sally Scallywag kept both the kids and adults entertained. The captain gives the adults information about the houses along the river while the crew keeps the kids busy and reels them into the story line. The kids shout out directions to find the treasure, use the water cannons to protect the vessel and then get the key to the chest. The captain and crew made the experience feel very safe and they were very courteous to the adults and encouraged the kids to follow the rules while still making it feel like part of the show. It was our second time doing the tour and the kids loved every minute of it! read more

I've been reading their 5 star reviews for years now wondering if it was worth schlepping my kids from Boca to ft lauderdale. And after trying it..so worth it!!! I believe this pirate crew does 4 trips a day and they have it down to a science. We got there 20 min ahead (they recommend 30 min) for songs, tattoos and pirate outfitting. The lovely woman pirate whipped up impressive turtle, dragon and finding dory painted tattoos for my kids in minutes. We purchased the pirate outfits (bandana, sword and eye patch) for our 7 yr and 5 yr olds when we bought the tickets online. We thought we could get away without getting for our 2 yr old but he insisted on his own as well (the sword was the main draw). My 7 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son were the perfect ages. The pirates had their total attention for the 1.5ish hours of the trip and got really into it. Highlights including shooting water canons at the "bad pirate" and finding the treasure at the end. Even I found it all to be entertaining in my 30s. Our newly 2 yr old was too young to understand it all, but was happy to come along for the ride. I think ages 3-8 are ideal for this pirate adventure. Overall so much fun and my kids have mentioned it as one of their favorite activities from our few weeks in south Florida. We were looking for something fun to do with our young daughter and Bluefoot Pirate Adventure was a clutch find! The great thing about this "excursion" is that it is literally fun for all ages. The kids get to do a pirate adventure and the adults are treated to one of those "look at rich people's houses" boat tours. The adult portion was entertaining as the tour guide (also the boat's captain) has a dad-jokey + sarcastic sense of humor. It was right up my alley and I loved it! The kids portion isn't over-the-top with anything but it is well put together, keeps the kids entertained, and has something for them all to do the entire time. The boat's crew did a really good job and every kids on our voyage had a good time. There were some scared tears... scared of the pirate haha... but nothing excessive. In fact, I'd suggest a good age for the kids would probably be three years old to ten years old (?), with a 6 month margin of error at the bottom end and a 12 month margin of error at the top end. That will put them at an ideal age to enjoy and be able to "do" everything. If you're looking for something fun to do as a whole family then you should check this adventure out. It's good, wholesome fun for all ages and won't set you back in the wallet. Also, parking (at the hotel/yacht club) is only $5 if you say "ARRRGGG!" to the parking attendant - which you better believe I did! read more

This is a solid experience for anyone with kids. From the moment you show up all the employees acted in character and were interacting with the kids getting them excited for the pirate adventure soon to be had aboard. Booking online was smooth and easy and provided all the info and details needed to be a smooth experience. Arriving early affords enough time for your kid to get their face painted (that's of course if they're willing to get their face painted) and outfitted with their pirate attire. Once aboard the boat there's a shaded seating area near the captain for the adults and the kids can clamor forward to participate in the fun. The nice thing throughout the trip is that the captain is giving the adults essentially regular tour information about everything we passed, while the pirate up front is regaling the kids with the evolving storyline. With treasure, water canons, and an incoming pirate on another "ship" kids are bound to have a blast. Unlike other kid friendly activities where kids under a certain age are free, they do charge a nominal amount for kids under 2. Overall though, I'd say the experience was worth the price of admission. Like most boat rides they have a tip jar at the end of the ride. read more
