After my first initial visit there, everything dropped off the wagon. I would need to wait weeks to get a returned email or phone call. They needed to file an extension with my taxes (even when I went there months in advance before taxes were due). It's so hard to communicate with this firm. I also dropped off payment promptly to get my taxes paid for and no one even called or sent an email that it was received. Go somewhere else.

I received a letter…read morein the mail from the IRS telling me they were filed incorrectly concerning my First Time Homebuyer Credit from 2008. I emailed and called Barbara, she did not reply/return calls. I had to physically go to the office to get a response, which was her sitting behind a desk in a separate room and attempting to yell to me she did the taxes right, the IRS must be wrong. She said the First Time Homebuyer Credit from 2008 was waived by the government and I don't need to pay it at all - WRONG! I have finally gotten through to the IRS by phone now on June 4 and have confirmed Barbara Glanz did my taxes incorrectly. Why did I pay $225 to have my taxes done by a professional, if she does not know the correct tax laws? If it weren't for my own research after the letter arrived, I'd be doing something illegal thanks to Barbara Glanz. She refuses to refund the money we paid her and refuses to research the laws she claims to know. This should stand as a huge warning to anyone looking into a new tax accountant. Glanz & Associates is NOT the business for you if you want your taxes handled correctly. I am filing a BBB claim once a new IRS letter confirming the taxes were done wrong is sent to me shortly, so that I have paper evidence for the claim.
