Easy five star review! Inflation is real lol. These used to be 5.00-8.00 max. 13.00 for one sandwich and 3.75 for a cookie. These prices are a bit much but I will say the club is the best sandwich in the restaurant industry. Despite the price I'll definitely keep coming back. The customer service is mad decent. I first discovered this brand a couple of days ago when I went to the Westheimer location and fell in love with it. The service was great and the sandwich there was huge, fresh, and delicious. The service at this location was average as the two young ladies were engaged in a side bar conversation and not as attentive. My to go order was not acceptable and I really should have double checked it before I left. It was missing a bag of chips, my onions were missing, the bread was not toasted , and the avocado and honey mustard sauce I requested was very minimal.What's so ironic is the Westheimer location also forgot to include bag of chips on one of my combo orders. The sandwich at this location didn't taste any different from a sandwich purchased at the local grocery store. read more

I was excited for them to open a Brown Bag Deli on Shepherd! The service was great here and the restaurant was well maintained. As with all of the brown bag delis, the food is great. The sandwiches certainly aren't the flashiest or most exotic but they are done well at a reasonable price. read more

I just visited Brown Bag Deli for the first time today and had to run to make a review. I was in the mood for something healthy and this came up as a suggestion. When you walk in you grab a clipboard and fill out your order on the brown bag. They have multiple bread options as well as wrap options if you are carb conscious. I opted for the lettuce wrap with turkey, ham, bacon, and avocado. You can select to have the proteins hot or cold. I chose to have them hot! The wraps were super delicious and everything tasted super fresh. My friend got a sandwich and let me try it because she was blown away by the white bread. It had a slight sweetness to it and was so delicious. Maybe I was jealous I didn't get bread....... Her and I split a chocolate chip cookie which was perfectly soft and extra chocolatey. LOVED this sandwich. The white bread was so fresh, a hint of sweetness in it and really paired well with the turkey, bacon, lettuce, jalapeno jack, mayo & cucumber combination. We also added olive oil + S&P. Service was great & loved that they greeted everyone when walking in and out. However, there were several issues with the pickup order I placed online. 1) I ordered a BLT without Mayo and it came with Mayo which I had to scrape off. 2) I ordered a topo Chico that was not in my bag 3) my chicken salad sandwich was not toasted. I really like Brown Bag Deli. Been having htem for a good bit now and they never let me down. Bread, meats, veggies & condiments are always fresh. They're not stingy with the portions either. My most recent orders have been via delivery service for my office. Brown Bag is one of the very few that get it right! Meaning if you enter add oil & vinegar, they add it. If you request cucumbers or olives, you will find it on your sandwich. Yesterday was turkey, ham, provelone, guda, plus pretty much every veggie. I could barely get half the sammy down & only a few bites of the potato salad. Which I might add is tasty too. Had the rest for dinner. I also tried the falafel patty for the 1st time. My coworker orded it with a salad & it was very tasty. Will be giving it a try next time. Prices are fair and from the times I've gone inside it's very clean & service is awesome. This is a great option for us to have nearby in the Heights area. Super fresh, made to your liking sandwiches fast! They have a nice seating area inside if you want to eat there or they are all packaged to-go as default, so that is easy as well. The ordering process is simple - build your sandwich on a paper bag by selecting whatever options to customize, then pay at the register. They have some nice sides as well beyond chips - I personally enjoy their Red Potato Salad. Only slight is that it is a bit pricey compared to other sandwich shop options, but I felt my sandwich was super well made and totally topped full of the ingredients I added. read more

This was my first visit to Brown Bag Deli, and I was quite impressed! The staff was warm and welcoming. I got the club sandwich on a white bun, but this is no ordinary bun. It was warm, soft and a little sweet. Mmm mmm mmm. The meats and toppings were so fresh- it was the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Bacon was crispy- just perfect! I'm always in the mood for a well put together sandwich or wrap and Brown Bag Deli does it right with very fresh ingredients! The location in the Heights just opened and the staff already has it figured out and makes the food very quickly after placing an order. We ordered a hot roast beef sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bun and roast beef on a spinach wrap and it was made perfectly. All ingredients picked were fresh and the deli meat was sliced. So glad they opened this location, its close to my work. They have great sandwiches , good quality and portion's of meat. The roll's are delicious. Everything is fresh. The staff is awesome. Have now been here twice and the only "complaint" or suggestion I can give is to be open on Sundays. The sandwiches are 10 out of 10!!! I'm surprised there's not more of these around the city. Had an unremarkable but tasty sandwich. Vegetables were fresher and crisper than I expected. Only complaint was the pitiful singular square of cheddar cheese.
