Faith in humanity restored! I experienced extreme kindness today as I went to Brown Brothers Auto Body this afternoon for the first time. It was a fantastic experience! I had driven into a curb and dented my wheel. The kind employees all stopped what they were doing to help me. Four different employees helped me. They removed the tire and then banged the rim back into shape using various methods including a sledge hammer and a blowtorch. Filled it back up with air and rotated the tires and got me on my way. I asked to pay for the services, and was told that I could just tip one of the mechanics. Would highly recommend! read more

I got rear ended on the freeway in a 6 car accident. Thankfully, although I was the 3rd car, I didn't rear end the car in front of me (thanks to Tesla's auto braking system). I immediately got in touch with Sean, one of the owners at Brown Brothers, and went straight to the shop the next day. As the Tesla repair expert, I knew I was in good hands. He took photos of my car and drew up the estimate to send it over to Tesla right then and there. Unfortunately for me, Tesla took a month to respond to the estimate, but once it was approved, Sean ordered all of the parts right away. While waiting on the parts, my car was still drivable so I was able to keep my car until the parts arrived. The other benefit to working with Brown Brothers is that they have an amazing relationship with Enterprise Beverly Hills, so I was also taken care of with an awesome rental as well. I went to two nearby shops for quotes after I was rear-ended and Brown Brothers had the better price and made me feel like a longtime customer, even though it was my first visit. They took a lot of photos and emailed my estimate while I was still there. They seem to be a fairly busy shop and now I know why. Since I was working with someone else's insurance company, it took a while for me to get my car in to be fixed. On Christmas eve, a POS hit my parked car and drove away on leaving my poor Honda Civic with extensive fender damage (they took out the driver side wheel and front bumper - thanks a lot for the Xmas gift, pal - hope someone returns the favor.) I'm very late in posting this. I never finished writing my review from service I had in 2018, but I wanted to make sure I share my happy experience with others so I am back to post. My experience here exceeded even my highest expectations! I was really unfortunate to have a car merge into me on Thanksgiving Day and damage my side mirror. Then a few days after New Years, a truck in front of me in the left turn lane backed into my car and damaged the bumper. To say the least I was feel very unlucky and upset about it all. Not like I was driving a stunner car. I was driving a 2001 Toyota Camry. The same car my mom used to drive me to middle school in. The thing was old. I chose Brown Brothers because of the high ratings on Yelp and I am so happy I did! When I pulled into the lot, I felt a bit embarrassed because all around me I saw Audi, Mercedes Benz, and Maserati. "Lowest" end car on the lot was probably a 2016 Rav4. But Sean and the staff treated me like a princess there. I was repeated asked if I wanted any refreshment and got apologies for the long wait. They have a good relationship with Hertz so they called Hertz to have them send a driver to pick me up to take me to picknup a rental car. Expect long waits but once you have their attention, you feel like a celebrity. Since they are super busy and since they do spend a lot of time with each customer in-person, expect to make several phone calls to them before the person you need is available to talk to you. They treated my car with so much respect. Again I felt so embarrassed how old my car was but Sean looked at it for a moment and said with some admiration in his voice that he had not seen that year model in such good condition in a long time. They even kept the broken side mirror for me in case I needed it for something. And they saved the scuffed up dealer-installed detail for me carefully in a bag in case I wanted them to attach it back on. It was obviously trash but how thoughtful of them to save it! They had even looked online to see if they could order replacement details. Final paint job was perfect! Absolutely glossy and the feathering they did to hide the paint job was pure art. I doubt it was easy because it's a two-toned car with near 20 years of paint fading. Insurance tip: tell them all the insurance info even if you think you are going to pay out of pocket. The bumper+hood repair was being covered by another driver's insurance but the driver who hit my side mirror never claimed fault so I thought I had to pay for the damage and get reimbursed by my insurance later. Nope, the payment from my insurance was supposed to go straight to Brown Brothers so I should have told the office that. They take care of all the insurance handling for you! My mistake made it so they had to do a lot of paperwork and back and forth with me and my insurance but in the end they took care of everything for me and never complained that my ignorance caused them so much extra work. Also, they helped me get more of the cost of the side mirror covered by my insurance because the adjuster made his calculations on the wrong part. Phenomenal all around! If they treated me, a grad student who looked like a college freshman at the time, and my car, which was literally worth only $5k at CarMax at the time, with so much respect I think you and your car will get pretty good service here, too! read more

This is a family owned business and they are very friendly and reliable people. I brought my car here and dropped it off after being referred to here by my car servicer. I needed my bumper and lights fixed and while it did take a few months to get my car back (due to the nature of slow exports at the moment), my car came back better to me better than before! Credit where credit is due: these guys did a great job with the body work on my Audi S5. My fender is beautifully painted and looks good as new. Unfortunately, that's where my positive experience ends. There were some inexcusable mistakes on the part of Brown Brothers (and my technician Luis): - Quoted me 2 weeks for a repair, but had my car for over a month. During this time, I was told 3 different pickup dates. When each date rolled around, I had to call them myself to find out the car was not ready. - Raised my bill from 4000 to 5500 (the insurance estimate was 1400). I was never contacted despite three separate adjustments. In fact, I was not contacted by Brown Brothers A SINGLE TIME during the month they had my car. - I was billed $410 for an alignment that they DID NOT PREFORM. I returned to Brown Brothers just a few hours after picking up my vehicle to report a significant pull in the steering. After being condescended to, I finally got them to take a look. They admitted they never performed the alignment. They tried to perform the alignment at this time but could not align the car to spec. - When I arrived to pick up my car the second time, a staff member was "test driving" it. I watched him turn out onto a busy street, floor the acceleration towards a red light, and slam on the break to avoid hitting a woman pushing a stroller. It was very violating and shocking to see my car be treated like this. I suspect this is why I picked up my car with a completely empty tank. - When I returned for this alignment check, they told me that my car had a severe oil leak that had persisted throughout the month it was in their possession. No one contacted me about this or mentioned it upon initial pickup. - Finally, while trying to address these issues, I was at the shop until 7PM on a Friday night. I repeatedly pleaded with them to give me my (fully paid for) car back, and expressed that I needed to take it elsewhere for my mechanical repairs. They kept repeating themselves, making BS excuses, talking about irrelevant problems, and minimizing my concerns. I feel severely disappointed and taken advantage of. I am sad to say that my car repair journey isn't over after a month of painfully begging Brown Brothers for communication, updates, and compassionate customer service. I am shocked that this establishment is recommended by Audi Beverly Hills & will encourage them to rethink this partnership. read more

So the catalytic converter on my 2007 Prius was stolen (for the third time.) I had some sort of protective shield installed at the dealership repair shop (I know, I know,) and of course it didn't even remotely work. I took my 20 year old car in for fender and Door repair. One of the owners took it To the back for half an hour brought it back said he would call me the next day with an Estimate. He never called. I called his office e 3 times over the next 2 weeks. He Never returned my calls. Luckily I found Westwood Autobody. Great customer service. This review is long over due. I apologize in advance for the lateness. About a year ago my husband's Toyota was hit and run by someone who dented and scraped the entire driver side of the car and took out the side mirror. Insurance told us to pick an auto body and detail shop of our choice. Through research online and yelp, he chose Brown Brothers. It was a wise decision. It took a little over a month to get the repairs done and have the car back. What's cool is that the car was actually done sooner and after they reviewed their work, they were unsatisfied and told my husband that they are going to redo what they fixed, because they wanted it perfect. This surprised both of us. Most places would have rushed the repairs, not cared that it wasn't perfect, and given us the car as is just so they can move on. It took a week longer but it was worth it because the car came back to us looking like it just got off the assembly line. Will def recommend this place to all who need to repair their automobiles. Brown Brothers is a one-stop shop. When my Subaru Forester was rear ended, I went to several places to get an estimate of the damages. Two places told me that they only deal with the outside of the car and cannot address the new rattling sound I heard. I finally was sent by a mechanic to a muffler place. But they only looked at the muffler! Now I'm shlepping all over LA with my clacking crushed car collecting estimates. Thank God for the Brown Brothers! They were so friendly and professional. They were the only ones that assessed the whole car, inside and out, taking photos of everything, and emailing those photos to me with an estimate that took ALL THE DAMAGES into account within 24 hours. I attempted to get my car fixed at Brown Brothers after it was hit while parked and they were incredibly unhelpful and dishonest all while projecting a false air of great customer service. I received an estimate from the insurance company of $800 for the repairs, but Steve quoted $3000 for the same repairs. Because he seemed so confident, I foolishly trusted him, and he said he would submit a supplement to my insurance company before starting repairs. I called multiple times over the following weeks to get an updated status in the supplement claim and when repairs could be done. Twice my call was not returned, and when Steve actually did return my call he had no update for me. When I spoke to the insurance company, I found out no supplement had been submitted. After wasting weeks of my time waiting for a response, I went to a different shop where the repairs were done in one week for, you guessed it, $800. I don't know if Steve and Brown Bros were trying to take advantage of me or my insurance company, or if they're just incompetent, but either way, would never go here again. read more

As a young woman I've had plenty of bad experiences at auto body shops; usually men who work there tend to be condescending to women and overcharge for basic services. This was the first auto body shop where I felt valued and respected as a customer. I was recommended to speak to Steve-- he was wonderful, kind and very helpful.
