Fraudulent and deceptive practices. I contacted Chris for a…read moreconsultation about possibly filing for bankruptcy. I was told by email that the consultation would be free. During the consultation, I was advised that if I wanted to move forward in the future, I could place a $200 deposit, which would be refundable if I decided not to proceed. I paid the $200 under that agreement. For over four months, I have been requesting a refund. Each time I called or emailed, I was told the only way to get my money back was to schedule another meeting with Chris. After waiting two weeks for that meeting, it was canceled just 10 minutes before, with the excuse that the lawyer was unavailable. Later, I received a deceptive email stating I would not be refunded because Chris had already "met with me and discussed my options." That is not true -- we never agreed on any options, especially since my primary debt (student loans) could not even be included in bankruptcy. This office took $200 from me under the promise of a free consultation and a refundable deposit. That is dishonest, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of integrity. If a lawyer is willing to mislead clients over $200, they cannot be trusted with larger matters. I do not recommend this law office.

As soon as we hired Nochumson, they went to work and knew exactly how to fix it. We worked primarily with Alex, who was always very quick to respond and got us through the issue efficiently and thoughtfully. We ended up hiring them for two permitting issues as well, and these also went perfectly.

I'm not sure how they have so many great reviews because they are awful at communication until they get called out. They billed us .20 (I believe this is 20 minutes) for an email that simply said "that's very good news keep us posted" after the other condo owner and I figured out our issue ourselves. We hired this law firm to represent us for an issue that occurred Jan 2024. Alan spoke to us briefly over the phone and was great- he made it sound like an easy solution and we just had to pay him 5k retainer. We never spoke to Alan again and he passed us to Natalie & team. We provided them updates about our situation and instead of providing any solutions we were given a large bill of absolute bs. They never reached out to the person we were having issues with. And they danced around the injunction they were supposed to file. After speaking with Gail we found out it would be very experience to peruse that route. Got it. So we each wasted ~ $1,500 We contacted them to cancel our service and refund the remainder of our money. I emailed to share my dissatisfaction of the firm but instead just received a long email about how great they thought they did. Their office admin contacted us on April 19 and we were told we should receive a check in the mail. Nothing.... it's been a month and we haven't heard anything. Do yourself a favor and find a different firm. Can't believe they took advantage.. first time home buyers getting screwed by lawyers they hired lol
