I am UL alumni, sorority alumni, and now have a son there, which reintroduced me to the campus and…read moreits offerings. Periodically I return to campus for presentations offered by the business school. I'll speak from the most recent experience and as a parent. The school offers several opportunities to visit and tour. Some drawl large crowds and others are smaller. The website also shares a ton of information about their degrees, housing, dining plans, etc. Applying is easy and our response from UL regarding admission was quick. My son also learned about scholarships quickly and this was amazing, especially compared to others that took so long to say yes or no. There's a lot of organizations to choose from as well as sporting teams. Tuition includes a gym membership and two are on campus. Dining plans are required based on living on campus or being a commuter. Parking passes are needed - buy them as soon as the option opens. Certain lots go quickly. Housing brings the most anxiety. Please pay the deposit to sign up early. It puts you in line to select. Belknap South and North are designated for freshman. My son stayed here and is now a RA there. Some dorms are better than others -- do your research. First year students are required to be on campus, but if you are local or have circumstances that qualify, you can be excused. Students miss a lot of things they have access to - health and mental services, disability resource center, honors program, learning abroad events, scholarships, and campus roles like student government. Follow all the groups on social media to stay in the know. Greek Life is active here for all groups. Recruitment starts early when classes kick off. So much more to say - and thankful for my time and degree from business school. I immediately used my Marketing degree upon graduation. Don't consider UL a "no" because you're local. It's full of amazing programs and people.

The school was shut down because they were fraudulently taking the kids money. The grant & extra…read moremoney that was ours never made it to us. While I was attending. Mr. Puckett threaten to kill me during class because I would not pay a $1,000 for a book that was needed for his class the same day. When I could have got a book & test kit for $300 used & in mint condition. From thousands of sources. The Dean of Administration was mean disrespectful & they lied to me & caused me to have over a decade of bad credit as well. I need them to fix this. Plus the garnished my taxes twice. That money was for my daughter. I ultimately got evicted because I didn't have the money to support us. It still breaks my heart. I need help. Someone please give a lawyer in Louisville my information 502-594-0667 They still want me to pay the loan off as well. They took my taxes twice & ruined my credit & life. I'm forced to be poor. I was 3 months away from graduating. 15 years of Hell & no one has yet spoke to me about anything. GreatLakes is never helping as well. Please do not go to school unless you can pay for it all up front because it will ruin your life. It seems being of color had me at a disadvantage in life in general. I see Caucasian people getting help & notified about the same thing I've been asking about for over a decade. It's critical that we point this out. Why can't I get legal aid to fix what they did to me. Over 10 years of being denied credit. I brought in over $30,000 to a bank for a loan & they told me no because RETS sallymae & Greatlakes ruined my life without me even knowing it. I never got letters to my house at all only hate mail & threats to pay the loan off. 6 day a week's calls 7 times a day voice mail emails to the point of glitching my phone. Me being on hold for hours not getting to a human for hours. Faxing things over which is a $1a page. I hate being me as well as hearing the skin I'm in. If I was white this would never happen to me. 2018 & still not equal. Always ignored my whole life. Genetically I'm 12% Caucasian but not enough to get respect or love from the people I admire & break my back for on a regular. May I please get some help from anyone that reads this. I can not do anything without a lawyer. The proof is there. I want my credit fixed & the money I am owed from all the years of destroying my credit having me evicted & crying like a baby in front of my newborn daughter because daddy worked so hard for them to take it away at the end. I needed that money. It's hard to make it on your own with no help. To literally work from pay check to pay check. Even if race is a slight or non-factor in this. Why haven't I got any help still. It's hard to contact any group that's dealing with the school closing. Why things have to be so difficult in this day and age? Please Yelp help me
