I asked to get a discount for this failure on their part to communicate the entire plan and was told it was my fault. "They don't make mistakes" so it must be me. If mom's insurance was accepted anywhere but here, we would never return here! Complete incompetence!

Despite the initial problems I'm so glad I made the trip. Staff was very welcoming, considerate and professional. Location is clean and saw many pleased patients leave and arrive as we waited our turn. I was able to stay with my children during their procedures & they were happy too (as far as a dental appointment can be). Location is across from a beautiful lakefront park, so pack a soft lunch & enjoy some nature after your appointment.

I went back to the desk only to be sent to another place to check in. I was then told the Dr was running 40 minutes behind. My appt was for 9am and they opened at 8am. The nurse who took care of me was very nice and very gentle. I had told both her and Dr Scott Lawson that I was very afraid and anxious. She suggested laughing gas to help ease the anxiousness. She explained the cost and then had to go pay BEFORE I had anything done. As soon as I paid, everything was a rush! Dr. Lawson came in, said open your mouth and next thing I know, he's pushing needles in my gum without telling me what he was going to do. No numbing gel, nothing! Then he walks out. I can only assume he's seeing 2 patients at once because then I hear a woman start screaming. He comes back to me and asks me to open my mouth again. I think he's going to stick me with another needle, but he assures me it's not. He asks me if it's sharp, not if I can feel it. I said it wasn't sharp. He said good. I just stuck you with a knife. He starts tugging at my tooth, and I can feel everything and start screaming. He keeps going. The nurse keeps telling me to just breath in the gas but by now, the gas has only made me nauseous and I'm crying so hard, my nose is now stuffed up and I'm not getting any gas. He stops pulling, gives me more anesthetic with yet another needle, and says he'll be back in 5 minutes. The nurse is trying to calm me down. I told her I was never coming back here. Then I hear the woman in the other room start screaming again. My husband told me later he could hear her from the waiting room. Dr Lawson came back in and pulled the tooth, and I only felt the pulling pressure he said I was going to feel the 1st time. Then , I was handed my paperwork, my 2 prescriptions, and was swiftly shown the door. I will NEVER EVER go to this butcher of a dentist again! I have to give this place at least 1 star to be able to post this. The 1 star goes to the nurse who tried to help but stilll failed.

Three stars for the hygienists, which keep changing. I get that my gal wanted to go half time or whatever, so she's out. But what happened to the one after her? I didn't like her anyways because she made my gums bleed all the time. It was as if she didn't have steady hands or she had careless hands or bad vision. She talked so much and didn't pay enough attention to my gums. So I remember asking to be scheduled with someone else other than her. I can't for the life of me remember that hygienist's name. Pretty sure I got someone new to me this past time because i got in on a cancellation. It wouldn't have happened that way except that the office did not respond to my call or voicemail or email. I finally found an old email with their online scheduling and tried to do it that way. That system sucks anyways because all it does is record your preference. It doesn't actually make an appointment. Eventually I got a call back and I was upset! I thought they had closed down because there is no reason to not return calls. I go twice a year and I have good insurance! They do x rays every year and have updated equipment. I like that they do an oral exam for cancer etc. they also evaluate your gums. Pretty thorough place, once you get in. Bonuses: it's completely solar powered, so they're doing their part for the world. Also, they have coffee and bottled water in the lobby. When they send you home, they give you a toothbrush, toothpaste and lip balm! The ladies there are very nice and the dentist is great, albeit talkative, but it's the hygienists that can make or break a place. Update- I've been going to this dentist for five years now. I have changed hygienists multiple times. But I most say, the dentist is so awesome. He gives his honest opinion about everything. He does not try to push you into procedures or Invisalign etc. One time I had a question and he wasn't totally sure. He promised to ask a colleague and get back to me. Sure enough, he got back to me by email. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge of his limits. He didn't hesitate to get a second opinion. That opinion was about the same as his in the end anyways. I always get a toothbrush and travel toothpaste on the way out. The also have lip balm that I keep in the car. They have improved their hours and added another dentist! They have also improved on getting back to me via email or phone when I leave messages. I have recommended my parents to his practice as well, and they are happy. Both have had procedures done and are satisfied.

I love coming here because there is never any high pressure sales or fear tactics initiating the patient to move forward with an unnecessary procedure. Leanna has been taking care of my cleanings for the last two years and she is great! I am so glad she was hired on and hope she stays there for the long haul. My appointments are scheduled 6 months in advance and the office staff always provides courtesy calls, e-mails and text reminders to keep both parties up to date. Although I have not needed a major dental procedure in many years, I know that the staff here is capable of providing the majority of dental services required.
