They do get pretty busy on weekends but I have not had any issues with the customer service on that front. They have an amazing selection of novelty candies and bits and bobbles... What disappointed me most wasn't the policy itself, it was how the situation was handled. When I asked about redeeming the reward, the manager responded with, "We don't honor that. If you want free stuff, try Hutto." The comment felt dismissive and unnecessary, especially when I was simply trying to use a reward that Dairy Queen had provided. The manager made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable or trying to get "free stuff". In the end, it's my choice not to return, but it was the manager's choice to lose a customer, and my family's business over a birthday treat and a disappointing customer service experience.
