Great local brewery with a lot of community involvement. Typically open Friday-Sunday so I don't get to visit often as I want because I work most weekends. They bring in food trucks regularly. Ranging from German food to Texas bbq. The owners and bar tenders are very friendly and know their beer. There is an indoor bar area with a/c as well as a very spacious outdoor area with plenty of seating where they have bands and events regularly. The beer is all great quality and a solid variety. Little bit of something for everyone. My favorites are the peanut butter porter and the kolsch. Their K-9 is also a super easy drinker. read more

First time back after they moved from downtown - taproom is pretty small, beer served in plastic cups, so it's pretty basic now. No food truck when I visited, but they do get them in sometimes. Beer is still good, their IPA is a good West Coast style with lots of flavour (not one of the low IBU "hazy" that seems to be the rage with some breweries). read more

While this place is small and somewhat hidden, it's a nice quiet spot to grab a drink. They have a decent selection on tap, as well as a few games to play if you're interested in that. The cute cat that hangs out inside is a nice perk as well! read more

You can't get any better than this place...and My Goodness...if I knew TBC was so close to my place I would have been here a long time ago! We were greeted with the biggest smile by Megan and she was super sweet! My fiancé started with the Raspberry K9 Lager and he said it was good...a little too fruity for him. Then he had the 9 Banded Whiskey Stout which he says was "Phenomenal!" He absolutely loved it. I had the Slushee of the Day which was like a strawberry slushee and soooo good!! We had our 2 year with us and Miguel, the other bartender, came and brought him like 6 brand new car toys to play with!! That was just the sweetest thing to me and my little one had an absolute blast!!! Beautiful bar, very clean and the best staff! We had an amazing time and will certainly be back. read more

Beer was good. Service was questionable. Food was bad. I had a flight of four different Texas Beer Company beers and they were all okay but to be honest they tasted like beer you can get anywhere these days. I wouldn't say that I'm in a hurry to get back and try more. Both the bartender and the server gave confusing and unnecessary explanations regarding the food. I didn't inquire where it was cooked, but they both took time to explain something about a "central kitchen" that is next door that serves a few nearby establishments? Thanks for the information...I guess. I ordered a pizza but was then asked if I had a back-up choice, so I ordered a different pizza. It was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had, and I am not picky at all about pizza. Glad I stopped by to check it out, but probably wouldn't go back. read more

This place is not only not up to code under the ADA, their animals crawl all over the counters and their is some kind of cat bed/litter box thing in the middle of the room, which is a guaranteed health code violation. Overall pretty disgusting and outdated. read more

Everything I wanted it to be. Nice Informative guy at the taps-not pushy or a know it all. They have an amazing visiting tap. There was even a brewery I hadn't heard of. I ended up getting one from Southern Heights I'd never had before, but will be on the lookout for. The tables were clean and distanced. Everyone standing had on masks(CORRECTLY). The Women's bathroom was also clean and easy to access in my walker. (Gold star) We were driving back to College Station-or else I would have stayed longer. I'll be back!! **it warmed my heart to see the coats and goodies that were there for those who needed them. (I wish I had something to donate.) My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday as they opened and they were already getting lots of visitors. Crystal (I think that was her name) behind the bar was great, and gave some good recommendations, not only for beer selections but also where we should have lunch while in town. We shared a flight and then each had a beer, and it was a good deal! If we weren't driving we would've loved to try more. Luckily we get some of these in the local stores. read more

Happy to see businesses supporting PRIDE. Texas Beer Co opened their doors and their hearts to the community. Their IPA is crisp and refreshing, glad they had a non beer alternative (frose), and the bbq was super moist. I visited right as the mayor of Taylor addressed the crowd, speaking in support of PRIDE. I don't need my ass kissed but when I'm being served and ask for suggestions and all you do is shrug your shoulders and offer nothing that's a HUGE turnoff. I've been bragging about this place to my boyfriend and begging him to take a motorcycle ride out here with me (I live in the Georgetown area) but I'd rather go somewhere else. Recently visited Texas Beer Co on a Saturday during their Crawfish Boil. We didn't actually do the crawfish thing but were attracked here by some online advertising we saw. We were super impressed with how fun our visit was and the service was prompt and kind. I had one of their blonde beers on tap. I am not a huge beer drinker, but it was cold, light and tasty. My wife had a Shiner on tap. Taylor was a quaint little town to spend an afternoon. One of the owners, Amy, stopped to welcome us which was super nice as it was clear they were busy. Several folks told us the BBQ was good so we plan to return soon. All and in all a very postive down home experience. Well done! read more

My wife and I came over here with our neighbors who were from this area. We really enjoyed our time here. The beer was great, but needed more of a variety in my opinion. They do offer wine for you wine drinkers out there. The noise level is pretty loud with the way the facility is designed inside. Plenty of seating inside and outside. We enjoyed our time sitting outside. The staff attended to our needs very well and made sure we had our drinks full when ready. Parking is in the street and within walking distance. read more

Solid beer! This is my second visit and I've been pleased both times. First visit I had a nice Amber. This visit I had Oktaylorfest and it was a great Octoberfest-style beer. They serve decent pizza (from a local partner) if you're hungry. Friendly staff in this nice open space in downtown Taylor. Will definitely be back! read more

After stuffing ourselves with BBQ we needed to walk off our lunch and we walked right into the Texas Beer Co for a brew or two. On a Sat afternoon the venue was chill. I was told when there are bands playing in the evening it will get very busy. Of course they serve their brews but they also have additional beer options like from ATX Independence. We had the blonde and amber offerings. Both pints were perfect. The blonde was smooth with just enough hops to keep it interesting. My amber was one of the best I've had in awhile. Some people love this place. I just do not. The beer has too much sugar and gives me a headache so, that is my primary reason for not liking the location. Texas Beer Company is in a great spot, with lots of street parking nearby, and tons of other attractions in walking distance. Once inside, the decor and vibe is really great, from the lighting to the rad picnic benches. I've visited a couple of times when they had live music and I've been really impressed by the local acts they've featured, and there's usually even room for a little two stepping, to boot. I love that there's a great mix of people visiting at any time, from little ones to older folks and everywhere in between. I've noticed the owners have really paid attention to incorporating the community everywhere possible, from bringing in food from the absolutely to-die-for Davis BBQ to showcasing artwork from local high school students, and more. As for the main attraction, the beer. There's a wide selection of beers on tap, including root for those not willing or able to drink alcohol, and the Texas Beer Company beers themselves are pretty dang good! Love the decor inside and the frequent events, often benefiting the community. TBC is a great addition to downtown Taylor and I can't wait to visit more often! read more

Texas beer company is my favorite beer/brewery experience in Texas! We just moved to Taylor to start our own business and came across TBC. The owners JD and Megan are super chill, they have amazing local craft beers and they have super cool events that impact this small town in a big way!
