Browne Family Vineyards' Seattle tasting room is a fantastic spot--especially before a Sounder or Mariner game. The location is incredibly convenient, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely amazing: knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being pushy. Pair that with excellent wine, and it's an easy place to keep coming back to.

My friend and I did a blending session with Chris, and learned SO much about Bordeaux wines! Chris was attentive, welcoming, and so fun to spend the afternoon with! We both came home with a bottle of our custom blends and are so excited to share with our friends! Would be a PERFECT date night or anniversary gift - or just a treat to celebrate friendshipsb

Love their wines - my fav is the red blends! Charcuterie & Washington only tasting was only outdone by our amazing service! When you love wine like me it's always a plus to have an enthusiastic server!

Stopped in for a glass of wine before a Mariners game. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We opted for a flight tasting which consisted of a bubbly, a viognier, and malbec and a cab sauv. We ordered a bowl of truffle popcorn to accompany our tasting as well. Pours were generous, 3 oz each, and halfway through our tastings we ordered a charcuterie board. The board was loaded with several cheeses, a small bowl of olives and a variety of salamis. Very filling. The tasting room itself if modern and very clean. There is a a bar with stools to sit at an various tables strewn throughout their store. Very comfortable. The only downside is that because we were heading into the Mariners game we weren't able to take a bottle or two home with us! Definitely need to come back to this one!

Very nice tasting room offering some very good wines. Nice staff that is enthusiastic for Browne Wines. Loved the 2017 Bittner Cabernet Sauvignon, 2017 Continent Cab Sav and the 2018 Estate Vineyard Merlot. Joined the wine club and already been back to enjoy the buy one tasting get the second free perk. Wine club also gets you 30% off list price. Reservations recommended not required.

Amazing wine stop in Seattle. We ordered the Bitner (reds) and the Dottie (whites) flights and were pleased with the taste, variety, and quality. Even the tasting pours were larger than I'm used to at 3 oz each! I wish we could have shipped some back home, but they don't ship to our state at this time. Even so, I would totally visit again when I return to the city. We had a wonderful time and great service!

Great way to end my Seattle journey. I've enjoyed Browne wines in the past but first time venturer to this tasting room. When we entered the tasting room we were greeted by a gentleman who's name I don't recall but he was very welcoming and gave a quick history of the tasting room and it's existence. I had the all red flight, which I enjoyed - Great variety of reds. I also tried the do epic shit, mostly due to the name but definitely an enjoyable red. I didn't purchase any bottles as I had no room in my suitcase but solid brand that offers solid red wines. If you're in the area definitely give the tasting room a try.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this wine tasting room/shop. The previous night, we had a glass of their Browne Tribute Red Blend at The Nest. Our waiter mentioned we could visit their tasting room near by, so we decided to visit the next day. Our server was Myva, the Sommelier/Tasting Room Manager. She was super welcoming and knowledgeable. We chose their Sparkling Flight and their Bitner Flight (red wine). It was a great tasting! For us, the standouts were the Gigi Brut Rose ($40/Tasting Room Exclusive) and the Cabernet Franc ($35), though we really liked everything we tasted. For the quality, their wines are are a great value! Great wines and a great wine tasting room!

The Yelp event walked us through the various tasting notes of the wine and cheese pairings.

OVERALL: 8.875/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 5/5). This Virtual Yelp Elite Event took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. This event was hosted on Zoom and in conjunction with River Valley Cheese, down in Renton, WA. The event was moderated by Jennifer Jones, who at the time was the Yelp CM Ambassador for Bellingham and the Eastside. Myva was our representative from the Browne Family Vineyards side, introducing the limited release Cabernet and Chardonnay in their cans. Note: Two cans == 1 bottle! Myva introduced us to the winery's history - namely that the founder (Andrew Browne, in case you were wondering) moved to Bordeaux pre-WW2) was recruited into the OSS (which later became the CIA) and eventually a Nazi hunter. The following is a translated note that I tried to transcribe, but turned out to look more like drunken ramblings. I did my best -- I have no regrets. Fun fact: Moose cheese is the most expensive! I learned a new acronym: "ABC" in the wine world means "Anything BUT Chardonnay". Chardonnay has a lot of room for the winemaker to show their own personality (whereas Riesling and Sauv. Blanc have their own attitudes). The wine spends 12 months in oak (tertiary aromas), with hints of fruits (green apple). We were taught to "trust our instincts, smells, and see what the wine reminds me of". Apple, peach, tropical, citrus -- lots of things in one! Grapes in a cab. sauv almost look like blueberries/blackberries. Taste like leather/pepper (acidic/dry?). I lastly learned that you can use plastic wrap to prevent oxygen from getting into wine cans, to keep them fresh! 1) ORIGINALITY: 9/10. I was super impressed with this event; while it was hosted on Zoom, we had to pick up the (free) event kit from River Valley Cheese down in Renton, WA, which included two cans of Browne wine, a cheese platter, and a small box of crackers (should be pictures attached to this review). 2) NETWORKING: 8/10. As I mentioned in my other review, the major complaint was that this event was more a "webinar" and less of a networking event. I don't remember anyone else from the event besides Kristi (from the River Valley Cheese side) and Myva (from the Browne Family Vineyards side) -- sorry in advance if you read this review and remember me from it! 3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 9/10. Overall I can't really say this was a "bad" time; I had fun, I took notes, and I had wine and cheese in good company. There was a point in time where Myva disconnected from the Zoom call due to a faulty internet connection, but we all still had fun in the meeting room until she was able to get back to a stable connection. 4) FUN FACTOR: 9.5/10. Fun fact: Browne also owns the "House Wine" brand you might see in the cans in grocery stores. They don't make this a very widespread fact so you should definitely at least try it, if you haven't already!

We got to try out their limited release Chardonnay and Cabernet in cans. I was skeptical but they were delicious and no hint of the "tin can" taste. The Chardonnay was light and not overpowered with oak which was a win for me. We are excited to get back to their newly redesigned tasting room in Seattle (we enjoyed their old tasting room pre-covid). You can call ahead and they'll bring your order out curbside as well!

    Dottie flight

Love this tasting room! The wine is so good and the servers are amazing! It's super close to lumen field and t-mobile park so it's perfect for before or after a game (if I lived closer I would visit on a day without a game) . You don't need to know anything about wine to taste here, they are so helpful and informative without being pretentious as I've experienced in other tasting rooms. Maggie was our server and she is so kind and very attentive, really made the experience perfect! 10/10 recommend!

Horrible, I found this in my wine. Don't buy it!!!!
    Oleksandr K.

Horrible, please don't buy this wine. Found this in my glas of wine. Don't hurt yourself. Also it tasted so so, there is definitely better choices around.

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Pike Place and enjoy wine (or cocktails, or fun, or all of the above) this place is a must. I can almost guarantee it'll become your new favorite spot.

This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!

I must note- getting the flights that we did was pricey, but I know, most wine tastings and fancy chocolates are going to be expensive. I also wish there was a little more chocolate in the flight. The hostess walked us through the entire restaurant to the dark back wall, behind the bar. With tall bar chairs. Explained we didn't want that, she walked us back through the entire restaurant to a nice table up front by the windows. Tried a Malbec duo. One was delicious and didn't like the other at all; oddly tannic. The grilled mortadella should have been more grilled. Sitting in a generous portion of burratta-like cheese, olive oil and pistachio butter, it was delicious. But desperately needed some bread. How do eat this without any bread? Once the mortadella is gone, you are just eating spoonfuls of cheese, oil and butter? We hadn't seen our waitress since the app arrived. Having finished the mortadella we finally flagged down someone and asked if we could get a little bread. He said he would handle it right away. Another 10 minutes goes by and our waitress came by. Apologized for not being around and went to see about the bread. Finally got the bread, and it was delicious. But sooooo oily! Like a sponge it dozed oil every time I tried to break off a piece. Was dying to wash my hands. Our entrées were ok. The fried chicken with fusilli was pretty good, but difficult to eat in the deep bowl. Hard to cut. The crispy tofu wrap wasn't crispy and wasn't made well. I have absolutely no idea what flavor profile it was meant to be. Just muddy. I tried to eat the first half. It was stuffed so full it was impossible to eat. I took out more than half the filling before I could manage it. When I got to the second half I understood the issue. There was almost no crispy tofu, but lots of lettuce and other fillings. Maybe it would have eaten better if it had been constructed better. The fries were fine. Pleasant server, but perhaps had too many tables as we didn't get the service expected. It's been a long time since dining at the downtown Purple. Likely wouldn't go back.
