Great vibes. Food was delicious. However I got the linguine past with clams & would have liked a little more pasta in my dish. As much as I love clams the ratio was off. Wasn't crazy about the cocktails. Cute spot. Love the vibes. Informed the facility in advance that we were celebrating a birthday. All we got was a happy birthday acknowledgement from waitress but nothing else to make the event more special. Entrance through alley; has stairs. Recommend to uber.

Delicious food. Everything was tasty and fresh . We really enjoyed our meal. Service was great too. It's a cute restaurant z perfect for intimate dinner and celebrating special occasions. I'm not sure if the restaurant is a historical building but it's not ADA accessible. Only entrance has many stairs. It's not wheelchair accessible.

Excellent place just warning, ONLY STAIRS. They do not have a handicap entrance, we also asked if they were a historical building since they have ADA exceptions but our server could not answer that. It's always sad when a nice place like this can't be enjoyed by everyone. It was very nice down there and they had entertainment around 6:30. The food was really good too, you can tell everything was fresh and good quality. The salad was extremely fresh and everything about this place is just perfect for a nicer evening out. It's pretty romantic too so I could see it being a nice date spot as well.

Third time's a charm! I have been craving carbonara for several months, the weather was great, the Link Light Rail removes all the traffic / parking stress for me, and The Pink Door had a lunch opening. I've had two bad experiences but hunger and the desire to have the experience most others have inspired me to try again. We were seated in the lounge at this corner table near the bar. Loved it - bright space, spacious, and quite comfortable. Our waitress was fabulous; great recommendations, cheerful, and made our whole meal delightful. I ordered the carbonara and it was everything I wanted; creamy, toothy, and savory. I ordered a seasonal cocktail first, the Hope Springs Eternal, which was a creme de la violette forward refreshing drink. I loved it. For dessert I ordered the house-made semi-freddo and drank it with a mocktail, the To Our Sanity. The mocktail was brightly bitter and paired fabulously with the ultra-creamy, rich semi-freddo. My friend had the branzino-style rock fish and loved it. He mentioned he would happily return for that dish alone, especially since the fish will change. It was lovely and a super fantastic meal. I likely will be back again so I can even out my experiences for the better!

Man oh man this place absolutely delivered. We started with the clams and mussels and sheeeesh they were good. Me and my fiancée were wishing we had rice because that sauce the clams and mussels were swimming in was amazing lol. The Filipino side definitely came out there. For our mains we shared the Pink Door lasagna and the bolognese and both were absolutely amazing. I seriously think about this place whenever I think of Italian food now. Definitely lived up to the hype. Service was great and the ambiance was awesome. Really nice view around Pike Place that made the whole experience even better.

We were on our way home after a cruise from Tokyo to Seattle. A shipboard recommended we try the Pink Door for lunch near the Pike Street Market area during our two day visit to Seattle! Wow, what a great recommendation!! I'm not sure you should go there if you're dieting because the food is so wonderfully rich and tasty Italian! The carbonara pasta I had was exceptional as were the mussels in a rich creamy sauce enjoyed one of the guests. The other guest raved about the salmon special of the day and the exceptional big serving of fries he ordered. The food was outstanding as was the friendly, efficient service wrapped up in an environment a bit over the top. All this made for a memorable experience. Yes, we highly recommend this Seattle winner!

It takes a while to score a reservation here if you want to have dinner, so our expectations were thru the roof. Let's start with the cool back alley location, hidden and feels like you are entering a different world. The restaurant is elegant, but quirky and if you are lucky to score a window seat, you have a great view of Pike place and the waterfront. Service was amazing and very attentive, always making sure you had everything you need. We started with the antipasto platter and they had lots of delicious veggies and meats on there. Unfortunately, there is no bread served, which would have been perfect for the antipasto. Usually you get wonderful crusty bread in high end Italian restaurants, so the was certainly a bummer. I ordered the carbonara,a Roman classic and they did a fantastic job with the cheesy eggy goodness and the quanciale was crispy and salty. My husband didn't like his lasagna, so he left slightly disappointed in his dinner. The lasagna was very soft and mushy and the sauce could have used more flavor. Dessert again was delicious, we ordered the Zeppole, which are fried fluffy ricotta dough balls. Yum Parking is easy and hard, depending on the price point. Pike place has several garages, but comes at a high price point, but easy in and out. There is some street parking in the area, but harder to come by.

Parking: garage parking in Pike place market parking $10 after 5pm. Restroom: men and women restrooms You can walk in to sit in the bar if available. Restaurant literally has no sight, just the peach pink color door in the post alley. We made reservation months ago just to try and hang out with our friends. The restaurant is pretty big, go all the way to the back, which is the best part, you can enjoy the view of the water front. Our server is THE BEST server we ever encountered, she is a delight, so enjoyable. Amazing. We ordered: Drinks: The celery made me do it Decaf cappuccino Stevens 424 Theres no basement in Alamo Appetizers: Arancini Tuna crudo Misticanza salad Everything green salad Entree: Daily seafood: halibut Pork chop Lasagna Fettunta 3 meatball Desserts: Rhubarb shortcake. Overall food is good. Fish is ok, pork chop is dry. I love the lasagna, meatball and tuna crudo. And the shortcake is light.

I booked a Friday reservation at Pink Door and this Italian restaurant is everything as advertised! Service here is amazing, and it's a much bigger restaurant than you would expect on the inside. Meatballs with garlic bread is an absolute must and I got the seasonal halibut which was incredible. 10/10 experience in Seattle, and absolutely recommend getting a reservation atleast 3-5 days prior if you're looking for a weekend timeslot. Definitely will come back!

I wasn't sure about going here because it is so touristy and popular, but I am so glad we did. The gem salad was perfection with peas, fava, pistachios and asparagus. Evocative of spring. Thank you, Zack, for the food and craft cocktail recommendations. The vongole was quite generous with clams! The King salmon was delicious with spring leek sauce and crispy skin. Thanks also to Matt for great service. Every seat was taken and both Zack and Matt kept everybody happy.

Finding the entrance was a bit of a challenge, but I eventually spotted the famous pink door (it's actually more of a peach hue). Inside, the decor is a cool blend of mix art and touch of Italian charm. Our server, Scott, was straightforward yet pleasant, and the rest of the staff was incredibly attentive, keeping our waters topped off the entire time. We ordered the pasta with clams, the meat sauce, and the mussel/clam, all of which were delicious! While they don't provide bread for the table, the quality of the cooking makes it clear the chef knows their craft. It isn't the most warm and fuzzy atmosphere, but it is highly professional and efficient. I'd definitely recommend it!

Absolutely loved this place--we made it our lunch stop this day and it was 100% worth it. The food was great, our server was amazing, and honestly, watching the other customers was almost as entertaining as the meal... I mean, it is Seattle. The drinks were yummy, the vibe was relaxed, and the food definitely left us wanting more in the best way. I'd happily come back just to do it all over again (and maybe continue my unofficial people-watching hobby).

We were staying on the waterfront and needed a spot for dinner. I used to live in Seattle and had never been to The Pink Door, but we decided it was the perfect spot after reading the glowing reviews. You enter through a non-descript pink door in Post Alley, but don't be fooled, it's huge inside and there's even waterfront views. We were promptly seated even without a reservation. The vibe is charming but gaudy over the top Italian renaissance? I know they have live music and sometimes aerialists later in the evening, but we were there a little too early for the entertainment. Our waiter was awesome, super friendly, helpful, and attentive. My daughter and I wanted roasted chicken and that happened to be the special. We split that and a Caesar and some fries. The fries were perfection, a huge portion served with herbs and a delicious aioli. The Caesar was good, but nothing special. The chicken was brick roasted to perfection with mushrooms and cheesy polenta. We didn't like the mushrooms, but the polenta was so good. We were a little disappointed that we didn't leave room for dessert because the menu looked so good. Don't make our mistake! Overall, the was a solid meal in a nice space super close to the market.

Ask the Community - The Pink Door

November 2025. Is it warm enough inside the dining area to be wearing a sleeveless dress?

I run hot and went in summer months but was very comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans. I would say bring a light wrap just incase. Could depend on where you are sitting too. I was in a booth at the edge of the restaurant by the bar.

Trying to make a reservation online- what's the difference between the Lounge Dining and the Dining Room?

Lounge dining is in a darker room as you enter past the pink door. The dining room has natural lighting, white table cloths and is more airy and open.

I've got a reservation at 9:45pm this Tuesday but the restaurant closes at 10pm. Can I still have a leisury dinner in the restaurant?

Yes

Is Pink Door charging for bread and olive oil starting 2025?

I went Feb 2025 and there was no more complementary bread :( it's on the menu to order now if you want it

Can a group of 12 get separate checks?

No, it states at the bottom of their menu that they do not do separate checks and it's one check per party

Do they serve foie gras? Someone mentioned it in a comment, but I don't see it on the menu.

I don't recall it being on the menu unless It's listed as a special. I get their papperdelle bolognese every time - sooo good!

Trying to get reservations for October 19th for a wedding anniversary nothing online? Should I try my luck as a walk in?

Do not risk walk in. Call and tell them you can't get anything on line and for help

I'm planning on celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary, on October 3rd can I make a reservation? Does the restaurant do anything special to help us celebrate the occasion? What is the best way to make a reservation?

Not sure they do anything special

What are the best dishes here?

Eggplant and lasagne!

What time does the lunch menu end and dinner menu start?

4:30

Do you have beer on draft?

Of course

Is the outdoor dining area dog-friendly?

You're going to have to ask the restaurant for their current dog policy. We saw none during our visit

Do you need a reservation?

I recommend if it you are going to go during busy hours.

Do they offer a child's menu?

When does live music end?

Hi Miguel! The actual schedule for the live performances varies. The best way is to go on their website and click on entertainment for the latest info and schedule.… Read more

Can I bring my own bottle of wine? If so what is the cork fee?

Don't do this. It's not worth it when their drinks are so good.

Do they have any gluten free menu options?

Very limited. On the menu, there is a gluten free option for Panini: PANINI… Read more

Are gift certificates available?

Yes they do. I believe the lowest amount is $25

21 and over or kid friendly?

Yes. There were families there...

Is it recommended for vegetarians, not vegan?

Going to guess that it would be very hard for a vegan. They use butter in just about everything. They may be able to accommodate, but I’d call to check.

She recommended a Mezcal cocktail that was a great start! Surprising because it wasn't smoky typical to Mezcal, just perfectly balanced. Exactly what I wanted. For my main, I went with the short rib pappardelle. It was incredibly rich, and the meat was cooked to perfection. Hailee was attentive and made me feel welcome at the table, which isn't always the case when you're a party of one. Incredible service and an all-around top-tier meal. The hostess walked us through the entire restaurant to the dark back wall, behind the bar. With tall bar chairs. Explained we didn't want that, she walked us back through the entire restaurant to a nice table up front by the windows. Tried a Malbec duo. One was delicious and didn't like the other at all; oddly tannic. The grilled mortadella should have been more grilled. Sitting in a generous portion of burratta-like cheese, olive oil and pistachio butter, it was delicious. But desperately needed some bread. How do eat this without any bread? Once the mortadella is gone, you are just eating spoonfuls of cheese, oil and butter? We hadn't seen our waitress since the app arrived. Having finished the mortadella we finally flagged down someone and asked if we could get a little bread. He said he would handle it right away. Another 10 minutes goes by and our waitress came by. Apologized for not being around and went to see about the bread. Finally got the bread, and it was delicious. But sooooo oily! Like a sponge it dozed oil every time I tried to break off a piece. Was dying to wash my hands. Our entrées were ok. The fried chicken with fusilli was pretty good, but difficult to eat in the deep bowl. Hard to cut. The crispy tofu wrap wasn't crispy and wasn't made well. I have absolutely no idea what flavor profile it was meant to be. Just muddy. I tried to eat the first half. It was stuffed so full it was impossible to eat. I took out more than half the filling before I could manage it. When I got to the second half I understood the issue. There was almost no crispy tofu, but lots of lettuce and other fillings. Maybe it would have eaten better if it had been constructed better. The fries were fine. Pleasant server, but perhaps had too many tables as we didn't get the service expected. It's been a long time since dining at the downtown Purple. Likely wouldn't go back.

Amazing wines, creative cocktails, solid snacks, great service and even games. You could wander in "for one flight" and somehow emerge six hours later wondering where the time went (in the best way.) On the wine side, they offer several thoughtfully curated flights, or you can build your own adventure. Which I highly recommend. The dessert wines alone are incredible, and the selection of aromatic whites is seriously impressive. No matter your palate, there's something here that will make you pause, sip again, and nod approvingly. And then there are the wine-based cocktails that deserve their own standing ovation. A wine tasting room doing cocktails this well is rare. We tried the Espresso Martini, the French 125, and the Lavender Lemon Martini, and every single one was better than I expected grape-based cocktails to be. Like, pleasantly shocked. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Pike Place and enjoy wine (or cocktails, or fun, or all of the above) this place is a must. I can almost guarantee it'll become your new favorite spot.

This used to be one of my favorite spots at Pike Market. For years, I made it a tradition to bring out-of-town guests here. Over time, I have brought more than 100 people here. It had a charming, warm, and welcoming feel--like a hidden gem in the city. It oozed with kindness and fun. Unfortunately, that has completely flipped! Since the new manager, Anthony, took over, the entire atmosphere has shocked me. What was once inviting now is rigid, cold, and unwelcoming. The biggest issue, however, was the way I was treated. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which was both surprising and disappointing given my long history with this place. Great establishments are built not just on food or ambiance, but on how people are treated--and that piece is clearly missing now. It's especially unfortunate because the rest of the team still shows glimpses of what this place used to be. Jordon, was genuinely kind and pleasant, but one positive interaction couldn't outweigh the manager's miserable attitude. It's hard to see a place that once felt so special lose its charm like this. I know the winemaker Paul is a great person - so it is hard to leave such a terrible review, but at the same time, if this was my place -- I would want to know what was happening behind the scenes at my establishment. I truly hope leadership reflects on how customer experience is being handled moving forward. Don't give money to places that have toxic attitudes and are joy crushers! Life is too short and far too precious! In the meantime, there are many nearby spots that consistently deliver both quality and incredible hospitality. Skip this place, and instead go to Browne Family Vineyards Tasting Room, The Lonely Siren, The Pink Door, Place Pigalle, or Maximilien. Those places are working very hard to create an exceptional experience!

We did find seating and there is seating in the restaurant portion, as well as down the stairs. It's a cute little place in the heart of pike place. We got the lasagna casalinga, from the farm, and from the sea pastas. Lasagna casalinga: I love lasagna but I've never had a white sauce lasagna before. I really loved this and I loved it a lot more than I expected. It has peas, sausage, and mushrooms, made with in house bechamel sauce. I thought this might feel super heavy and rich since it was a cream sauce but it wasn't! It was creamy without the feeling of being "too much" when eating it! That's always my worry whenever I eat cream pastas or sauces, that I can only eat a few bites and then feel full bc it the richness. The mushrooms, pea, and sausage worked so nicely into the flavoring of the lasagna and the sausage was flavorful and seasoned well. I believe it's a pork sausage which in my option always tastes great. From the farm: this was my absolute favorite! I always lean towards ragu or bolognese sauce, it's my favorite dish because the flavors become so pronounced during the cooking process. This was a bison ragu with perfectly al dente rigatoni. The bison wasn't gamey and pair so nicely with the ragu because it was able to get in all the crevices of the pasta. We opted for burrata as a topping which gave a really nice creaminess From the sea: this was a spaghetti with rockfish, pea vines, leeks, and harissa. The pasta felt a little Asian inspired, in Chinese cooking we steam whole rockfish and pea vines are a very common veggie dish, so I loved that the elements made me think of my culture. The harissa also gave it a spicy kick which was reminiscent of having chili oil or chili paste on the side at dimsum. While I loved the flavors of this it wasn't my favorite because it was a bit too light. I really wished the flavors were bolder and more pronounced. Rockfish/white fish is very mild fish so the taste is very dependent on the flavors you add to it. However if you like light flavors and fish that isn't too fishy, this is great! This is a really fresh dish so even though it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean it's not a great pasta! I can't wait to come back to try the next rotation of pastas!
