Stopped in for dinner after attending Enchanted Christmas at T-Mobile park. Walked in immediate greeted and sat down. Moments after being seated our waitress approached seeking our drink order. Ordering our dinner my friend asked the waitress for her opinion on two items she was trying to decided upon. The menu choices were modern and trendy. The presentation and flavor superb! I dined here twice during my stay at the hotel, first for a lighter dinner with calamari and a bowl of clam chowder, both were tasty and came out fast. My only complaint is it's pricey compared to my local restaurants in the Midwest. The next morning I had breakfast and ordered the 3 meat and cheese omelette that came with a side of potatoes. The omelette was loaded with sausage, bacon and some very thin ham but a little light on the cheese but still good. One dinner and 3 breakfasts. I loved all of it. They package everything up beautifully and don't skip out on anything being room service. We had a ribeye steak and cheeseburger and it was all sooooo tasty. We eat out a lot and this was very good quality and taste for the price. For breakfast I was OBSESSED with the biscuits and gravy which they mentioned the biscuit being local, assuming the biscuit place in the market but they toasted it and that is a game changer. Also their gravy was the best gravy I've ever had. I ordered it every breakfast. I'm used to paying high prices for breakfast or dinner so it's not so much the price that influences my taste but more of the bang for the buck. Cool spot located next to the ball park and convention center. When you get the directions it will take you to a hotel. The restaurant is inside. It is very casual and low-key with a cool vibe and great views. The menu was simplistic in nature without all the frills, which is great when you want a hearty breakfast. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa and steak with eggs. Everything was delicious, and the portion sizes were huge. They even cut my steak, which is great for skirt steak. I recently visited Jimmy's for a later dinner with friends after the Seattle Boat Show. We were seated quickly in the bar, and our server was super fast and pleasant, taking our drink orders and then our food orders very promptly. I was a little taken aback by the menu prices. I guess I've gotten out of the habit of being used to that downtown Seattle, touristy sticker shock! I ordered a cheeseburger to go with my beer (I think it was a Manny's but don't quote me). While it looked pretty good, and arrived on one of those deliciously toasted, buttery buns, the burger itself was pretty thin and dry. It was definitely acceptable, but not something I'd really seek out again. For what I paid, I'd rather have just gotten a Seattle Dog at the little pop-up down the street. This place has a cute vibe, though, and the service was great. It might be a fun place to meet up for a cocktail, but I'm not sure I'd eat a meal here again. read more

Travelled from Arizona for the cards seahawks game and we naturally went here since it was the closest bar to the stadium and was also our hotel restaurant. Had Bryson serving us Saturday and both times Sunday and he made the experience for us that much better. He was a Patriots fan (of all things,) but loved talking to us about the game and made us feel a lot better after the cardinals lost. He was enthusiastic, attentive and funny and matched the vibe we were hoping for, and so did Jimmys. The food here was great, and though the drinks were a bit pricey, the time we had made up for it. I was in one afternoon a couple of weeks ago after a Seahawks game. It was an early evening, and so the folks in and around the bar were jolly and you could tell had been there a while. I went in with a friend who was drinking, and only drank pop, which I got for free. I noticed how careful the bartenders were in making sure nobody was overserved. And they were cool when they had to cut people off. Management was around that night too helping making sure things were tidy, and preventing those who'd stumbled in from other establishments who were already well lubricated and belligerent. We were staying in the Silvercloud adjacent to the stadium and decided to try Jimmy's located on the ground floor. They have a varied menu ranging from small plates through sandwiches to a few heartier offerings. They also have a nice selection of specialty cocktails and the usual assortment of beers and wines. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service was friendly and fast enough without being rushed. The crowd was light when we were there so the staff was relaxed. We started with some of their specialty cocktails. I had a "loaded plan" which was a tasty vodka cocktail made with ginger beer and assorted liquors. Tasty and distinctive. My wife opted for the "up in the air," a pomegranate cocktail. We had the duck poutine and their shroom flatbread followed by the coffee pots du creme. All of the dishes were good, but I have to rate them as near misses at great. In general they seemed underseasoned. The poutine was good but the flaccid undercooked potatoes meant that the traditional textural contrast between moist gravy soaked and crunchy crisp fries was lost. I also thought that a bit more gravy would have been good. The cheese curds had been baked or broiled until they had melted and pooled on the bottom of the bowl. One of the joys of a cheese curd is that little snap you get in your mouth when you bite into one. The smoked duck was sliced thin and included a generous serving. The shallots added a nice light onion note as well. The smoke gave the duck a bacony vibe. The concept of the dish was great, but the execution was a bit lacking. One can hope that they were just having a bit of an off night. The shroom flatbread had lots of mushrooms and was garnished with micro-greens. Overall it seemed to lack salt, but that might have been alleviated with a bit more generous amount of the goat cheese. Once again good but short of great. The coffee pots du creme were good. Once again with a good concept but slightly off in execution. We particularly liked the pickled figs that were on top. The problem was that it takes a fair amount of pressure to cut through a fig with a spoon and the surface of the custard is very soft so dealing with the fig destroys the beauty of the custard. The taste combo was great, but it was hard to eat. We thought it would have been really good if the figs had been diced and served in a stripe down the middle so it would be easy to have a bite of custard and fig together. The peanut butter whipped cream didn't seem to add much. Regular whipped cream would have been fine. We also thought that perhaps a scattering of sea salt would have been good. So does this mean that we didn't like the food here? No, it was good, but was close to being great. Worth a visit? You bet. Good service, tasty (almost great) food, nice atmosphere.
