Today for the 1st time we went to the Raleigh Farmers Market and was absolutely shocked at their offerings. All the vendors are eager to serve and please so, we loaded up on fruits and vegetables. I'm so happy I'm back to my normal diet. From this day forward I will always support the local farmers and never again buy fruits and vegetables from the grocery store.

Visited recently late on a Sunday ( maybe an hour before they closed) Great location with plenty of parking. Besides fresh produce, it also has fresh fish, a seafood restaurant, and a few other specialty shops. Open 7 days a week, I would go all the time if I lived in the area. But like most farmer's markets, "most" prices are no cheaper than your local grocery store, but the selecatiosn here are great. Espeially now in the Fall with tiomns of pumpkins & gourds, Saw stands with huige selections of plants & shrubs for home gardens & landscaping. Bought some fresh NC corn & honey. One stand had a HUGE selection of almost every pepper I ever heard off. Cant wait to go back. ( no pets!)

They have chickens, goats, and alpacas which were definitely cute to see and feed. It was pretty busy when I visited, and the crowd was mostly families with younger kids. I can definitely see this being a great spot to bring the kids and even becoming a weekly hangout for locals. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely stop by again and I'll have to try the ice cream since I didn't grab one this visit!

This time I bought a jar of her avocado-lime but need to come back for her Chipotle! There was fresh seafood and meats, jams and other jarred foods, clothing and scarves, fresh produce, salsa and chips and MORE. I am so happy I discovered this gem and can't wait to come back for more salsa and to support some more local vendors in the future. Shop local! Pro tip: if you buy a jar of salsa (or 3), don't hesitate to get a bag of her fresh homemade tortilla chips, too. They're the perfect pair and honestly, chips from the grocery store aren't nearly as good.. I wish she sold them in bulk!

My husband and son wandered around the other side of North Hills since no one was there and I went to grab our Farmers Market items. Almost everyone had a mask on and it was a quick and safe way to continue to support local farms at this time. I walked away with great peaches, lettuce, tomatoes, flowers, cucumbers, zucchini, and a breakfast sandwich from their visiting food truck! The flowers that I scored from Blackdog Hops were beautiful AND lasted two weeks. A lot of times cut wildflowers don't hold up, but their flowers did. I also loved all the organic produce I bought from Nourishing Acre Farm, oh and of course Michael's English Muffins is a continued favorite. Can't wait to head back over soon!

There were so many stands, including: produce, bread, juices, seafood, lamb, knife sharpening, honey, candles, pottery, flowers, and a ton more. I ate Pastels de Yuca at a stand called Soul Cocina. It was roasted yuca stuffed with lentils, brown rice, and spinach. It came with a very flavorful red salsa. I loved it. The yucav was tender and the filling was delicious. I loved the salsa because it was refreshing with a slight kick of spice. I also enjoyed sitting under a tree at the park while watching the Bee Day Parade. That's definitely my tip because there's not a lot is seating to eat at the market. So go across the street to Durham Central Park for plenty of shaded seating.
