Great overall experience! Come out and feed the goats, chickens, alpacas or the llama. And don't forget to say hi to the roaming rooster. Great fun for the little ones and a great summer hang out. There are a variety of beers and wines on tap and some bar snacks. Nice upstairs lounge area. The main attraction for me is- the ice cream! It was deliciously homemade. Try the blueberry basil. Fresh blueberries and basil. Not too sweet. We also enjoyed a watermelon ice pop and a chocolate chip fudge I believe. All were delicious and full of flavor. Service was excellent. Be prepared for the bugs though. Wear bug repellent- you'll need it. Definitely will return to this gem.

I stopped here after my workout and it is such a cute little farm! There's alpacas and goats, but the goat section was crowded so I only viewed the alpacas. They have coffee, beer, water, other non-alcoholic beverages and New Zealand soft serve ice cream. They also sell plants, alpaca fiber products, pottery, and unique gifts.

Super cool farm. I've never really been to a farm. So didn't know what to expect. But there was something for everyone. Ice cream, food, trinkets and plants. Animals and coffee. And of course beer and wine. I came for the coffee. An iced coffee. They also have a small produce section. Lots of seating and places to rent for parties. Parking was a bit hectic, a lot of cars parked at lake benson. But other than that, a pretty cool place.

Awesome place for local gifts, ice cream, hydroponic greens, and cute animals! Plus you don't have to pay to see the animals. It's free to walk around and view the llamas, alpacas, chickens, and goats. I've been wanting to visit Holl & Stone Farms for a while and finally made the trip over. It was definitely worth it. The employees are welcoming and helpful. The microgreens are delicious. I haven't tried the ice cream yet, but it seemed to be very popular. I am a fan of New Zealand style soft serve and like that the menu changes with the seasons. During my visits, I checked out the animals and shopped for a gift. I loved the pots resembling wood bark and wanted to use one outside. One of the owners offered to drill a hole in the bottom, which was perfect!

One of the nicest modern barns I have seen.

Im going to start by saying that this place is an Amazing spot! Drove out here for the 1st time with no expectations. I wanted to get out of the house and I've been following them on social media. Drove about 30 minutes from the Carey area. I love the vibe of this whole place. I did order a Blueberry/Basil Cone that was an amazing mix. They make every ice cream mix to order and from scratch. What really impressed me was that this place is technically a petting farm with a retail store but the animal areas were spotless. You couldn't smell anything but the grass. The goat yard was clean and free of feces, same with the chicken runs and the main field for the llamas. That main barn looks amazing. The design of the barn tells you how well these animals are probably being cared for. I also like that all the animal areas have a place where the animal has a choice to either participate or walk away. This is huge from a welfare stand point. I work in the animal welfare field and was amazed I didn't smell any urine or poop. Even a little. I can't wait to come back and bring some friends with me. If you're considering coming here and are reading this, don't sleep on this place. It's that great.

Small but lots of goodies! Local honey from right up the street, good variety of plants and autumn gourds.

Yay!! We are so excited that this farm is now open!! We live and few minutes away and my favorite thing to do is drive past the alpacas to say hello. We went for the first time today and fell in love. We were able to see the alpacas and goats free of charge. We checked out the beautiful array of products, food and plants. We also ate the BEST ice cream we've ever had - blueberry basil & strawberry mint absolutely incredible. Lots of seating and incredibly nice staff. We are so excited to have a cute & fun place within walking distance!! Thank you!!

Nicely laid out. Plenty of kid safe activities. If you're a 30-something with a toddler, this is the place for you.

Pricy, but comparable to similar shops. Check the mail for coupons. It's never too cold outside for ice cream in NC! I saw an ad for Scoop Dogz and decided to check it out. Even on a chilly November day, I was craving ice cream. This shop is located two doors down from Aversboro Restaurant. It's in a plaza with ample parking. The entrance is on the left and exit door on the right. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a welcoming employee. She smiled and asked if I wanted to try any of the flavors. She patiently waited as I looked through the flavors and menu options. The sundae suggestions sounded so good, particularly the ice cream and cookie dough combos. After much deliberation, I decided on two sundaes. Since they were out of some of the flavors I swapped the chocolate for peppermint and the caramel ice cream for butter pecan. The sundaes were delicious and well balanced. I especially loved the combination of edible cookie dough with ice cream. Not just small chunks but a whole scoop of cookie dough. Their flavors rotate so be sure to look at the display case rather than the printed menus. They also serve ice cream from Homeland creamery. The shop has a few seats inside along with a freezer stocked with pre-packed pints and a free to play Pac-Man game. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this ice cream shop to others!
