We arranged our entire day around this appointment, and I personally rearranged my schedule to accompany her. After we arrived, Marie began raising additional concerns about whether my daughter could be treated, despite the fact that the recent surgery had already been disclosed when the appointment was made. We were then left waiting while the situation was reviewed. It was extremely frustrating to watch my daughter do everything she had been instructed to do, only to have Marie raise these issues after we had already arrived. If additional clearance or review was necessary, this should have been addressed before the appointment rather than after we had both arranged our schedules and come to the studio. Cheyenne, on the other hand, was wonderful. She was very apologetic, listened to our concerns, and handled the situation professionally. I really appreciated her kindness. Unfortunately, our experience with Marie was very different and made what should have been a straightforward appointment unnecessarily stressful and frustrating.

The second time, I had my brows done during a microblading class. The person doing them claimed to have many years of experience and a busy shop. She was also supposedly trained by a famous microblading teacher. Unfortunately, I ended up crying about my brows for years. Not only did the process hurt, but I hated how my brows looked. They were extremely thick, high, uneven, and completely overwhelming for my small face. I felt like I had two devil horns sitting on my forehead. After almost 10 years, I finally found the courage to try again. When I went to Aileen's Beauty, I made it VERY clear that I did not want microblading. I was worried it would hurt, and I was also afraid that the results would fade within a few months. They refused to resolve the issue and instead informed me that someone named Cinnamon would follow up to "discuss further," by EOW -- note that summer is passing and time is limited. This has been truly disappointing. I'm generally a very positive person who prefers to focus on the good, but this involves my hard-earned money and a clear matter of principle. While I was only about 20 minutes away from the office, I received a text message saying my appointment was being canceled. I immediately called the office because I was already on my way. The receptionist assured me everything was fine and told me to come in anyway, saying they would "work something out." After I arrived, I was told by the receptionist very rudely too there wasn't enough time to numb the area before my filler and that I would have to go through it without any numbing medication. I found that completely unacceptable. Their scheduling issue should never become the patient's problem, especially when it involves unnecessary pain. Only after I firmly objected then she suddenly decide they could numb the area after all. That tells me it was possible all along, but I had to argue just to receive the standard level of care. This entire experience was disorganized, stressful, and unprofessional. Canceling an appointment while a patient is already on the way, then asking them to accept a painful procedure because the office was behind schedule, is not how patients should be treated. I hope they improve their communication, scheduling, and respect for their patients' comfort and time. Very unprofessional and disrespectful receptionist... The front office staff, scheduling (last minute cancellations or rescheduling), and billing department (over charged a handful of times), display a lack of professionalism and consistent disrespect attitudes towards patients, which is truly disheartening to witness and experience. A new nurse of Asian descent was hired several years ago and unbelievably her behavior was inappropriate during the 3 occasions we interacted with her. I will never have her touch my face with any devices ever again. She also touched me inappropriately and I voiced my concerns and no one ever resolved the concerns. However, after seeing a new nurse (very good) who assists Dr. Saal, the experience has been positive. Despite being a loyal patient for 37 years, with Dr Saal, I have observed a significant decline in the office environment over the last 15 years. I have even recommended 22 individuals to this practice over the past 37 years, but never again. Stacey is the only long term employee (manager) still at the office and she has been consistently wonderful and professional. However, definitely not the rest of the office staff as mentioned above. I guess things and people do change eventually. My referrals and myself have gone to other Dermatologist offices to experience better services.
